About this space
Soothe your inner Squatch. The Squatch Lodge is the original Squatch Property and the home of Carl, the mascot Bigfoot. This log cabin has everything you need to have as much rambunctious or relaxing fun as you want. Our cabin is located at beautiful Nolin Lake! The property has a seasonal water view. Access to the water is located at our neighborhood Nolin Estates boat ramp.

You've probably heard, there are a few things that the Squatch Lodge is famous for. The first is the amount of snacks and goodies we spoil the guests with. The second is the extremely fun yet tasteful sasquatch decor. . Enjoy hiking, boating, fishing, cave exploration and many other attractions near by.

The house was perfect and very cozy. The beds were comfortable. We loved the games, movies, and snacks. There were plenty of towels in the bathrooms and the kitchen was well stocked. It’s obvious that the owners pay close attention to details and to the comfort of their guests.

Our stay was fantastic the property was awesome we loved the Squatch theme throughout the property and the game room was great I haven’t played Donkey Kong in 30 years it was fun .

Great stay for our Mammoth Cave vacation! We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house is very clean, in a quiet neighborhood by the lake. It’s very peaceful to relax out on the deck. We visited the Mammoth Caves which was about a 50 minute drive. We also found a water park that was about an hour drive, Beech Bend. The kids enjoyed the game room. The snacks were a plus as it’s about a 20 minute drive to dollar general or Walmart.

Probably the best stocked and equipped house I have rented. Several games, TV in each room and kitchen fully stocked. Quiet location. Not too far from restaurants and small grocery stores.

Great property with everything we needed. Kids enjoyed the activities downstairs and the kitchen is large with lots of needed items. Deck was peaceful to sit and enjoy the wildlife.

Great place!

The place was very nice and very clean. Amenities were excellent! It felt like a home away from home. You definitely cannot see the lake from the house (maybe in the fall) and lake access is about 1 mile away. You will need to be able to transport the kayaks if you intend to use them. However, both kayaks have a hole in them so proceed with caution. One filled up almost completely with water while we were out on the lake and it was very difficult to get back to shore. The other has a slow leak and did not track well because of it. It was clear they tried to repair the with the large hole, but it didn't hold. If you plan on visiting Mammoth Cave, it is about 50 minutes away. Other than those few details, we truly enjoyed our stay.

Peaceful

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful bigfoot theme cabin. The cabin was well stocked, with everything you could ask for in the kitchen, as well as a variety of dvd movies, and games, as well as 2 kayaks, and an arcade game. The sofas and beds were very comfortable, and was easy to relax after a day of cave exploring within an hours drive or less. The cabin was in a nice, and peaceful location. We would definately love to stay again if in the area.

Great Vacation!!

Beautiful views, very spacious, amazing amenities and spotlessly clean. Snacks were provided, comfortable sleeping for everyone to enjoy and an amazing trip overall. Host was very accesible and property was immaculate, we will return!

Above expectations…

My family and I had a great time at the Squatch Lodge. It is very clean and there are a lot of games etc for kids and adults to play. The fire pit is nice and the owner had plenty of wood for us to burn. We were there for Mammoth Cave, and we wanted to be away from all of the hustle and bustle and this worked great. I think in the details it says one bathroom but there are 2 full bathrooms. That was my first time near nolin lake, but we will be back in the future. Please, don’t hesitate to book if you need a quiet place. The neighbors were very friendly and you can tell it is a close community. Thank you for a memorable time!!

Clean house and fun location.

This house was very clean! We used this as our home base while investigating Mammoth Cave NP, not too bad of a drive. The snacks provided were a great plus, I've never stayed where so many pluses were given. The kids loved the house, all the decorations and games! We had a great stay. Thank you.

Perfect Respite

We were in town for a funeral and the squatch lodge was so clean, lovely, and peaceful. Plenty of extras providing for a superb experience. We’ll definitely be back in the future!

We stayed here for two night and went to Mammoth Cave and Kentucky Downunder. It is a wondeful place for my dog and my family. We will come again if we can.

Great place! Friendly neighbor too!

Place was better than advertised. Free snacks and coffee galore was nice too. We were hunting all weekend so we didn't have time to use the kayaks or ping pong or vintage video game, etc, but the beds were good, the kitchen was stocked with spices, cookware, etc. Very nicely appointed place and we would stay there again 100%. There was a very thorough visitors manual too. Basement bath shower was not hot enough but that is just an adjustment that can be made after removing the faucet handle. I'm sure the owner will fix that once he knows about it. I still give it a 10 out of 10!

Great house that is super clean and comfortable. The only drawback was that the driveway is really hard to back a boat and trailer, but we got it in.

Farewell to Summer

Everything was so very nice. The firepit was located down a steep hill which made it hard on old knees. Other than that, our stay was a pleasant experience.

Great Cabin

My entire family loved the Squatch Lodge. The gameroom was a huge hit with my teenage boys. There was plenty of room and the cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were wonderful!

Fun stay!

We enjoyed this VRBO. The decor was fun and the overlook very nice. It was clean, well stocked and had everything we needed. My only comment is that I thought we could take kayaks down to the lake which was like 3 minutes per the listing description. It was a bit more difficult than that and they needed to be loaded into our vehicle. They were nice to have and we enjoyed them. Also, we went to Mammoth Cave and it is an hour drive to the visitor center. I thought it was closer based on the listing. Overall a nice stay.
