First off, the property was very charming. Love the decor and the location. Our biggest issue was the amount of dust that was visible on every surface and the shower curtain smelled very moldy, (unpleasant odor). As such, we were not very comfortable using the kitchen dishes or the shower.

We loved our stay at White Pine Cottage. We were initially worried about our trip getting ruined due to smoke from the wildfires, but we somehow got extremely lucky and it cleared out of the area the day before we got in town. Communication with the host, Mary Lou, was easy and she gave us several great recommendations for places to eat, etc. The owners of the cottage, Ron and Nancy, live right down the hill from the cottage and were also very sweet and accommodating. The cottage is stocked with pretty much whatever you might need - kitchen items, extra bedding, extra towels, etc. My only wish is that the cottage had a king-sized bed instead of a queen, since my husband and I are tall people and don't like having to squish into a small (to us) bed - ha ha! We would absolutely come stay at White Pine Cottage again if in the area.

Roses: The property is the ideal size for two and strategically situated right on 22, so you can easily hop on 22 or zip over to 204 and get anywhere in Leelanau county without overthinking it. We hauled our whole "vacation kitchen" setup along for dedicated cooking nights, but I was genuinely thrilled by the tableware situation. They stocked real-deal pieces like Duralex, Villeroy & Boch, and Vietri, which instantly made everything feel intentional and chic (if you care about those details, and I very much do). You'll wake up to the golden sunrise over Lake Leelanau every morning which was beautiful and memorable. (A quick note on the view: the listing photos show water without specifying what it is, so I naturally assumed Lake Michigan given the area. Once we arrived, it was clear you are actually looking out over Lake Leelanau from an elevated spot across the way.)Thorns: The cottage sits right along 22, meaning the deck gets a steady stream of highway traffic noise. Eating outside was still lovely, just a little less serene than I pictured. The good news is the interior is surprisingly quiet, so you will not hear a thing once you step inside. I do wish the listing was a bit more upfront about being right on the main road just so you know what to expect, but honestly, it is a wonderful spot and we loved our stay.

Great stay. Clean place. Very easy access to all that the Leelanau are has to offer. Even on cold fall days, perfect place to relax. Only causation is if you’re used to a larger bed it’s a bit tight, but still worth it.

Perfect Retreat!

My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend and couldn’t have asked for more. What a beautiful area in such a romantic cottage. It’s close to everything and the views are amazing. Would definitely come back!

My girlfriend and I stayed at the White Pine Cottage for a long weekend and absolutely loved it! Beautiful rustic home with all modern amenities that is perfectly situated near Leland and short driving distance to Suttons Bay, Glen Arbor, and Traverse City. The owners are super friendly and communicated very well. We will definitely be returning to stay again!

Charming place

Lovely place for two, with dogs. We enjoyed this as a great base for looking around the north. Clean, charming small place to stay eith great facilities. We aim to stay there again!

Perfect location for Leland, Sutton’s Bay, Glen arbor and northport. Cottage was adorable and had everything one could need Porch was delightful for am coffee and pm drinks.

The pictures do not do this Cottage justice, beautifully decorated spotlessly clean and perfectly located. Owners were very nice and I cannot say enough good things about this cottage.

Absolutely perfect! The space was just the right size for two people; spotlessly clean and exactly as pictured in the listing. The host was thoughtful and communicative, even checking in after our arrival to make sure everything was going well. We were also greeted with a sweet little check-in surprise, which was such a nice touch. We truly loved our stay and would 100% recommend this place to anyone!

It’s a beautiful home and very well appointed. We stayed with our 9 mo old and it all worked very well. The home has wonderful natural light, and so for a family with a baby, I recommend bringing your portable blackout shades.

Wonderful Cabin!

We enjoyed staying at this new cabin. Owners were very helpful and communication was excellent. You can see the pride they have in this home. The location is excellent. The Wifi could have been better, but the Roku worked well on the TV and we were able to use our cell service to complement the Wifi that was there in order to complete work we had to do on vacation.

Beautiful Cottage

My wife and I had a wonderful stay with our dog at this beautiful cottage that looks out over Lake Leelanau. The deck has multiple places to relax offering shade or sunshine. The cottage is well furnished with anything you would need for a weeks stay, the washer/dryer is a real plus. I was unsure from the listing if it had air conditioning but it does and the listing also said carbon monoxide detectors were uncertain but there are 3 of them. We would definitely stay here again!
