We chose this property for our family reunion. I am one of 29 first cousins on my father's side. We get together every few years to cherish and honor our heritage. This venue is one of the best we have ever stayed in. The views are stunning. The front porch is to die for. The entire facility was very clean. On the first floor, there are three sitting rooms appointed with comfortable leather couches and chairs. The open dining space was large enough for all of us. The large modern kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dinnerware. It has two refrigerators and two dishwashers. Upstairs the bedrooms were more than sufficient for a good night's sleep. it is close (walking distance) to eateries and souvenir shops. It was not inexpensive, but worth every penny to our group from all over the country. And did I mention the spectacular front porch?

Wonderful home in an ideal spot!

Totally top notch stay. Property is among the best we’ve visited for 20-member family reunion. Super clean - very well maintained with great balance of modernized and historic. Absolutely amazing site with big porch, great ocean and sunset views. Comfy bedrooms, well equipped kitchen and lots of spaces to gather. Excellent location - walk to beaches and Nubble Light, walk to restaurants/shops/ice cream and easy drives to a range of villages and activities. Excellent!

Great place for family reunion

Great house -- loved it! Our group of 19 really enjoyed our stay here. Lots of room for family dinners and playing board games. It was nice to have 2 refrigerators with such a large group of people. Great view from the spacious front porch. Short walk to the beach, shops, lighthouse. House was very clean and the hosts were easy to communicate with.

Ladies weekend

The house was perfect, plenty of room for our party of 14 to gather together and to spread out. Location was spectacular, and the view was gorgeous. We’ll be back!

Great location. Loved the front porch, what a view We are a family of card players many tables to use and even leave a puzzle to work on. Nice big dining room for the whole family to gather in Loved the place.

Fantastic Home for our Family Reunion

Our stay at the Sun & Surf was magnificent! It was the perfect house & location for our family reunion. The various gathering spaces in the home were perfect. The spacious porch and cozy sunroom were perfect spots to admire the beautiful view of the ocean. Ed was so accommodating to all of our requests. We loved every minute of our stay!

Family Reunion ~ Dad's 100th B-Day

It was a perfect setting, perfect size, and excellent spaces for all of us to be together, outside & in. The water was perfect for short "swims", short because it was too cold to be in for long, but ideal for starting the day. Only one request, as we may be back another year, and that is to provide more pillows. Thank you Ed, this was just the perfect spot for our family! Tristam

Incredible, view, beautiful house, great location

We had a family reunion at tis fabulous property. It was spacious enough for all of us and right on the water with a great view. Incredibly clean and comfortable. The owner was wonderful and answered any questions we had. We all had a wonderful time and were within easy walking distance of the light house, lobster and ice cream!

Fantastic!

This house is amazing - very clean and well cared for home. The views are fantastic, short walk to the beach, plenty of room for a large group yet also space for people to have private conversations and some peace and quiet. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back!

A Good time for All Ages

We had a wonderful stay at Sand & Surf. The house was in great condition and very clean. Our favorite spot is the front porch, the views and sunsets are beautiful. They were 16 in our group and everyone had their own space. We will be back next year. Thank you to Ed & Barbara.

Another great vacation

We just returned from a terrific week at Sand & Surf. It is a wonderful house for a large group. We had our children, spouses, grandchildren (16 total). The house just lends itself to large groups, so much room. Our favorite is probably the front porch. We eat dinner there every night. The sunsets are beautiful. We will be back again. Simply Perfect

My husband and I decided that we wanted to have our wedding in York. After searching for homes we decided that this house would be perfect. After looking through the pictures for months, the day finally arrived when we got to check in. We met with Ed and he gave us a full tour of the house. He was SO helpful and accommodating. The house is stunning. Every room is beautifully decorated and SOO clean. The entire house was immaculate. We had 20 guests staying with us any there was plenty of room. Everyone slept great and there were plenty of bathrooms for all guests to use. The location of the house is within walking distance to downtown, Nubble Light and Brown's Ice Cream. I honestly don't think we could have found a better location if we tried. I highly recommend this house to anyone who wants a perfect retreat.

I can't say enough about how perfect this was!!

We hosted 23 of our family members in this house for our wedding and we wished we could have stayed longer--the accommodations and location were just PERFECT! Ed and Barbara were excellent to work with--we could tell just how much they care about their property as it is clearly kept in tip-top shape. My parents visited it during the winter months and thought maybe the upstairs seemed "cramped"...well, it was absolutely fine! Plenty of bathrooms and space for everyone to feel comfortable. We didn't even get to use every space in the house since there were so many common areas to choose from (and the weather made it hard not to spend most of our time out on the beautiful porch or across the street on the yard next to the ocean!) Finally, a note on the kitchen--fully stocked with every utensil we needed, two fridges AND 2 dishwashers!) I really can't say enough about how perfect our time was at the house. Thank you, Ed and Barbara!

Work Retreat

This is the second time we have used the Sand and Surf House for a work retreat, once in November and most recently in March. York off season is very quiet, but the house is lovely and warm and is the perfect location. There are enough bedrooms and bathrooms to offer privacy for co workers and the dinning area made for a great meeting space. We love the house and Ed was wonderful to work with. Comfort With A View!

Every other year I plan a reunion for my siblings and I (with significant others 22). I searched for many months to find a house that would accommodate us comfortably...the Sand and Surf was it!! From its large efficient kitchen that allowed us to prepare meals together, to the incredible front porch overlooking the ocean, the house had everything we needed. Easy walk to the beach or downtown shopping and close to the famous lighthouse and ice cream shop. Making the arrangements for the rental was made easy with Ed's help (the owner) and the immaculately clean environment made possible by the very pleasant Tina (the manager). We have stayed at several large houses over the past few years, the Sand and Surf was a great venue, comfortable, clean, convenient, and what a view! Thanks Ed look forward to doing busy with you again.

We Didn't Want to Leave!

What an amazing location! The view from the front porch is breathtaking. Off to the right you can watch the sun rise over the ocean (which I did every morning from my bed, just looking out the window) and to the left you can watch the most amazing sunsets over the beach and town. It is a short and easy walk into town to enjoy the many wonderful restaurants, ice cream parlors and of course the daily stop at the arcade for the kids. We had family members ranging from kids to grandparents and we loved that there were things for everyone to enjoy. The house itself is beautiful as well. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need and the best ocean view location in town to eat your meal is your own front porch! The house was spotless! None of us wanted to leave! We can't wait to return to the Sand & Surf next year!

Picture perfect

Our family spent a wonderful week at Sand & Surf. Location, location, location, it was perfect. We sat on the porch and looked out at the ocean. The beach and downtown are just a short walk. The house was lovely with plenty of room for the young kids (9) and adults (9). We can't wait for next years vacation. Topsfield, Ma.
