River Rock Studio w/private courtyard, 20 minutes to Zion

We aim to complement the experience of visiting Zion by bringing the feeling of the outdoors inside: natural light, airy ceilings, and canyon colors. A glass door and tall windows make the private courtyard feel like part of the interior.

(Please note that - alas! - we cannot allow pets. We do love animals, but allergies intervene.)

Newly built in 2020, the studio is attached to our home but functions as a totally private apartment with its own entrance, gated courtyard, kitchenette, climate control, and smart TV. We have two adjacent studio rentals and courtyards with similar accommodations, also attached to our home. All are fully electric and run on solar power.

Our memory foam mattresses are comfy as all get-out and we went out of our way to make sure the showers are exactly what hikers are looking for after a long day: great water pressure and giant, fluffy towels! This is a great spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Zion area and a well-placed launching pad for your next outing.

Absolutely no open flame, please! Things like candles and the like. To everyone's chagrin, our town doesn't have a fire department.
Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am, as most of our guests are here to go hiking and plan to wake up early.
Local laws state we can only host a maximum of 2 people in any of our studios. Legally, we cannot bend on this or we risk losing our license.

Very modern, clean. Comfy bed and awesome, hot shower! Microwave and plates/bowls/eating utensils for 2, wine opener. Mini fridge. You’ll need to wash any dishes in the bathroom sink. A luggage rack or 2 to place suitcases on would be a welcome addition. Very nice private front patio with table/chairs. Somewhat hard to see the turquoise poles marking the driveway entrance at first. Stayed for 3 nights while visiting Zion park. About a 30 minute drive to park entrance. Much more affordable than places in Springdale. Enjoyed our time here very much!

Diana was friendly and checked in to make sure our stay was perfect. It was an easy 20 min drive to Zion. We hiked everyday and it was truly magical. After hiking The Narrows, we did 3 hours at the Zion Canyon Hot Springs and it was so worth it. Can’t recommend that place enough and we really felt refreshed. We applied for an Angels Landing permit each day and got it the final day. It was such a fun hike to the top. This area has so much to offer, would stay again.

Perfect setting

The property was a great place to stay. Communication with the hosts was easy and prompt. The property has a great vibe with all the cool artwork throughout. Now let’s talk shower! It was fabulous! Just what a tired hiker needs at the end of the day. Hated leaving it behind!

Hiking weekend

After a day of hiking, it was nice coming back to this studio. Although just off the main road, it was surprisingly quiet! Because we hiked Zion National Park, we found the location ideal. Not to close to the tourism of the park but not too far away either. The drive to Zion was about 20 minutes or so. For us, that was perfect. And the owners were very responsive to any needs or questions we had. The only thing that could have made our stay better, would have been to have a hot tub to soak in after a long day of hiking . Joking aside, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

One of the best.

This was one of the best bnb’s we have stayed at. Very quiet, clean, had everything you would need and beautifully decorated. Thank you and we will definitely be back.

Quick and easy spot near Zion National Park

This lovely room is nicely appointed and plenty big for a couple headed to Zion National Park. It is much more affordable than the Springdale options and certainly a quick drive right on the same highway that leads to Zion so easy to find - the teal blue sign posts are great landmarks so I easily spotted it on my way into the park while it was still light out. The coffee, mini-fridge, water bottles and snacks were also very appreciated after a long day of hiking. Most importantly, it was impeccably clean and served as a great landing pad for Zion adventures.

Convenient and Comfortable

Fantastic 1 bedroom unit in Virgin. Easy 20 minute drive to Zion, NP and about 2 hours to Bryce. This unit with its vaulted ceilings, private courtyard, and nice views felt super spacious. Parking so easy!! Diana thought of everything you might need. There is a hose bib outside to wash the dust off legs and feet if needed. The shower was heavenly. The mini-kitchen has a nice mini fridge with freezer, microwave, coffee maker, coffee cups, bowls, silverware and snacks provided! Super cute, comfortable, well-equipped, nicely decorated, convenient, and quiet location! Everything was so smooth and comfortable from check-in to check-out. Highly recommend! Thanks Diana!

The property is beautiful! Spacious high ceiling studio decorated with special touches throughout. We had some trouble with our traveling and Diana was helpful and prompt with suggestions and dinner recommendations. We wished we could have stayed longer!

Perfection!

What a find! We could not have been happier! This property is very well appointed and very well thought out. It is beautiful, quiet, convenient, and has the sweetest private courtyard. Just two things: the handles on the shower doors are reversed and the toilet paper roll was put on backwards! 😉 We loved every minute!!!

Best VRBO stay we’ve had!

This property was the best stay we’ve had between VRBO & other companies. It is exactly as pictured. Bed, pillows, bath towels were all comfortable & clean. Very clean & well maintained property. We have not rented a site attached to a primary residence- but this appears to be standard for the area- and I was a bit nervous, but the property is absolutely private! The shower was nice with great water pressure & shampoo/conditioner/etc I use at home which decreased my packing list. Diana & her husband provided a few snacks & water which was appreciated. We did rent e-bikes for Zion, & I would highly recommend inquiring about recommendations for that. I can’t say enough excellent things. We hope to return!

Zion trip

The biggest issue we had was finding the place in the dark despite having GPS pulled up. Physical directions such as the property is accross from where this road and this road intersect would be more helpful than trying to look for things only visible well in the light (stucco roof, etc.)

Peaceful getaway

Gorgeous room with everything you need and a little outdoor space to yourself. Easy drive to Zion but removed from the Springdale busyness. Diana and Ethan were very accommodating and prompt. I had wonderful stay!

I live right outside Zion National Park and most of my favorite activities happen therein: canyoneering, backpacking, hiking, climbing, and watching wildlife do what wildlife generally does. My favorite topics of conversation include outdoor goings-on, stories of bravery and chutzpah, movies and how they should have been written better, and the gut microbiome. My husband Ethan and I moved here over ten years ago to work as canyoneering and rock climbing guides. We've been doing that ever since! The Zion area's slot canyons are incredible, and I could go on about how much I love them for days.
