Historic Southern Utah Cottage- 20 miles to Zion National Park

This historical property has been updated from the inside out. Built in 1904 by the Wilson family, one of the very first families to settle LaVerkin. It is one of the oldest Pioneer homes in all of Southern Utah.

This one bedroom, one bath structure is a combination of adobe brick and stick frame construction. The outside of the building has been left primarily untouched to maintain its historical integrity but has been updated inside to accommodate the modern traveler.

*Please note our weather is similar Las Vegas Nevada, not Northern Utah. We have such amazing weather to come and experience the great Zion National Park!! (July and August ARE hot- But Zion has water hikes!)
*We are open year round!

**Also we are 2 blocks from the brand new -Zion Canyon Hot Springs! We have discount cards (while supplies last).

Perfect -- good location, clean, easy, super cute. I'd recommend this if you are looking for a place about 25 minutes from Zion National Park (Springdale is closer, but very touristy and expensive), about 2 hours from Bryce. Very convenient to grocery stores. Try Lupita's for super yummy Mexican food in Hurricane (5 minutes away).

We truly enjoyed our stay at Liz's cabin. The cabin is cozy and a perfect place to relax after long days visiting Zion National Park. The cabin was clean and just as pictured. We enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening and the string lights added to the experience. The area is quiet and the various trees on the property and view of the mountains added to the setting. The kitchen was stocked with so much of what you need and the store is just down the street for any little extras you may want. The only thing that seemed to be missing was coffee but I picked up some local coffee when we were in Springdale. The bed was comfortable but a little squeaky. We also visited the Hot Springs (highly recommend) just a mile or so down the road which made for pleasant evening outing close to "home". I also loved the picture book with the history of the owners, their family and the cabin as well as some local information. I would just suggest maybe a guest book for visitors to write about experiences while visiting to pass on to others. This is a definite must to stay for a quiet and enjoyable experience close to Zion and hope to be back again. Thank you Liz for a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time at the Heritage Cottage. Very peaceful and quiet location. Close enough to all the great parks in the area! Loved the history book about the cottage and surrounding area. Liz, Lyman and Eldon were accessible and very attentive. Highly recommend staying here for your Zion experience. Will definitely return should our travels find us back in Utah! Thank you for sharing your cottage!

What a wonderful place to stay! This was our home base for Zion and Bryce Canyon, and it was perfect. Quaint, charming, comfortable. The property is well taken care of. The owners are great and the communication was ideal. We definitely recommend this homestead to any couple looking for a quiet getaway.

Very enjoyable stay, comfortable and well equipped. A little further away from Zion than expected but the drive there was great and it was nice to get away from the crowds in Zion. I would stay there again.

Cutest cabin, had absolutely everything needed. It is very clean with wonderful decor. Nice and quiet in a nice neighborhood. Cute little outside area with fairy lights! Liz our host was punctual, polite, and helpful. Highly recommend.

Second Time weve stayed its perfect location for our backpacking adventures into Bryce amd Zion we even ventured the trek to capitol reef needless to say this place fits our need and I was able to give a amazing Birthday to my Partner. Perfect for couple's get-away

Just the right size for my husband and me. Enjoyed the historical but updated environment. Short drive to Zion NP and accessible to Bryce Canyon. Liz (host) is a great communicator. Highly recommend River Rock roasting Co for morning coffee and meals. We would stay here again!

Amazing stay in La Verkin

We had a great experience staying at this property. Checking-in was a breeze and the property owners are quick to respond if we had any questions. The cabin is very cozy and is equipped with everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The location is great - just a 25-minute drive into Zion. There are restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The drive into Zion from this location is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to visit Zion or the nearby state parks.

A wonderful spot

We lived this charming spot. Perfect for Grandma and Grandpa and grandson for his 10 year old trip with us! Short beautiful drive to Zion. The cabin is perfect for the full kitchen, large bathroom and comfortable beds!

My husband's 3rd Great-Grandfather, Grandpa Wilson built this small home for his wife and 3 children to live in while he built the larger farm home next store. This home holds great importance and special, priceless value to our family. We are happy we can share it with your family.
