Lazy River Lodge - Riverfront home with fire pit, hot tub!

Welcome to Lazy River Lodge!

Lazy River Lodge is a 3BR/3.5BA Riverfront home located in an extremely private, quiet, and picturesque community along the New River in Laurel Springs, just outside Jefferson, NC. Step into your mountain home with an open floor plan overlooking a large grassy yard for playing and right along the banks of the New River.

The main level includes the primary King ensuite with vaulted ceilings, a stone fireplace, an open kitchen/dining area, and a half bath. Walk up the stairs and enjoy an open loft with a shuffleboard table, extra seating, a cozy sofa, and a King bedroom with a Twin bed and a full bathroom.

The lower level has a custom bunk room with a Queen and 4 Twin Xls, a second living room with a TV and gas fireplace, a pool table, darts, and a full bathroom. Just outside, off the lower deck, you will find the Hot Tub on the patio, where you can relax and take in the views and sounds of the peaceful New River. Just a few steps away, you can build a bonfire in the fire pit or walk down to the water on a custom-built river access path with walk-in steps to the river. The river is perfect for floating and relaxing, kayaking, paddle boarding, tubing, fly fishing, and more. The locals rave on the NC mountain trout and river bass right out front. There is parking for four (4) or more cars at the property.

Proximity and direct access to the New River and a large usable yard where folks can run, toss a frisbee, or enjoy a picnic, make Lazy River Lodge genuinely unique among our vacation properties.

Lazy River Lodge is less than six (6) miles from the New River State Park, where you can enjoy hiking trails, fishing, a canoe and kayak launch, and picnic/shelter areas. Zaloo's Canoes, Kayaks, and Tubes is also close by if your group wants to explore a float or guided fly fishing tour on the New River. About 20 minutes away from Downtown West Jefferson/Jefferson, Jefferson Landing Golf Course, Mount Jefferson State Park, and the Blue Ridge Parkway, your nearby adventures are endless. Slow things down with a stroll through downtown West Jefferson, and enjoy local art, flair, and fantastic food.

Additional notes:
- Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided.
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- This home is accessed via gravel roads. 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- This home allows up to 2 mature, well-trained dogs with an additional pet rent of $25 per pet per night plus tax. Pets other than dogs are not permitted.
- Repeat guests returning to Lazy River Lodge can receive a 5% discount.
- This home has one doorbell style exterior security camera monitoring the main entryway. No other cameras are present at the property.

CANCELLATION POLICY -
​​​​​​​Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled between 31-59 days before arrival will receive a refund of half of the deposit.
Bookings canceled within 30 days of arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
