The circumstances surrounding your reservation resulted from an unexpected legal matter involving the property that required us to permanently cease rental operations. Prior to your arrival, all calendars and future availability were blocked across our booking platforms, and we believed the property had been fully removed from active rental status. Unfortunately, we later learned that reservations made before the closure required a separate manual cancellation process through VRBO. This was never an intentional cancellation, nor would we ever knowingly leave a guest without accommodations. Throughout our years of hosting, we maintained a consistent 4/5-star rating and took great pride in providing reliable, professional service to our guests. We completely understand your frustration, especially given the weather, traffic conditions, and the challenge of finding alternative accommodations on short notice. We are grateful that VRBO was able to provide a full refund for the reservation, but we recognize that this did not eliminate the inconvenience you experienced. We regret that this unusual and unforeseen circumstance impacted your trip and wish you all the best in your future travels- Unavoidable things do happen in life and it’s not always a negative intent. Had we known you were expecting visitors or required more amenities, we would have gladly arranged to provide extra dishware, linens, and towels. Additionally, we have a dedicated housekeeping support service available throughout your stay. They are able to deliver extra items upon request, and we encourage guests to reach out with any needs so we can address them promptly.
