Welcome to A River Runs Through It! Indulge in serenity and relaxation at our riverfront paradise. Come relax with family and friends at this peaceful riverside cabin on the Nottely River. The cabin offers a perfect get away to relax or play on the river. Inside the cabin is filled with all new furniture and amenities including high speed internet. Enjoy the river to fish, tube, kayak or canoe. Downtown Murphy is just a short drive away with great restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and shopping. Harrahs casino is just a short drive from the river cabin!

The host always responded right away. We had no problems during our stay and no need to contact the host. The home was very well equipped, very clean and comfortable. We were familiar with the area so were happy with the shops nearby. One of the best VRBOs we have stayed at over the years.

The cabin was immaculately clean! My favorite place was the porch off of the upstairs bedroom. It's a nice place to sit and watch/listen to the river go by. The neighborhoods are quiet and that's a huge plus. The starter toiletries were a nice touch and there's plenty of hot water. Check-in was easy and the host was very kind. I'd love to stay here again.

Our vacation at "A river runs through it" was wonderful.The house sits on a beautiful flat large property in a small community on the outskirts of town but only a short drive to restaurants, shopping, church, hosp. etc. The house is wonderful and we loved everything about it. It was spacious yet cozy, decorated tastefully and equipped with everything we needed including wifi and Youtube TV. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bedding was of exceptional quality. I loved sitting on the master bedroom upstairs deck in the morning breathing in the fresh air and listening to the quiet. In the afternoon we would sit on the downstairs deck watching the river go by and being entertained by the hummingbirds. Everything was perfect and we thank you for sharing it with us.

Cabin was very well setup. Really enjoyed the Kurig coffee maker. Quiet location with the river in the back. Enjoyed sitting on the back deck with in the provided rocking chairs. It was very clean. Had no issues during our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay, the cabin was very clean and where it is located made it very peaceful. The river running behind the cabin off the porch was definitely a plus. I would give it a 10/10 and Micheal was very good in communicating with us when we had a concern or question .

A river runs deep

Nice cabin. Unfortunately we had family issues and couldn’t completely relax. Also, the river os unfishable without some sort of watercraft. You cannot access the river from the bank- the bank is too steep. Might should inforn On that.

Beautiful and Peaceful

The cabin is beautiful and so relaxing. It’s a great location since you can get into Murphy or Blue Ridge easily. Enjoyed some quiet time on the back porch looking at the river.

Great stay

The communication from day way was amazing. Answered any questions above and beyond. Tha check in process was super easy. The location is great close to stores casino blueride and a short 1hr drive to Helen. The cabin was very inviting definitely 10/10 clean and the accommodations were great

Great relaxing cabin peace oasis

The property was fantastic!! We rented it for Thanksgiving and the host had everything you would need in a cabin. The firepit was next to the river which was a very relaxing oasis. We spent a lot of time there since the weather was cold between 17° to 60° but was very enjoyable. Host was great in communication and very responsive. We would definitely like to stay here again. You cannot go wrong.

The cabin was perfect and well situated for access to Murphy and many areas near by. Very easy to get in and out but still felt out of the busy areas. Everything was provided that you could need and the bed was very comfortable.

It was good!

The house was nice. It had everything we needed. Sitting out on the porch at night was super relaxing. Even though it’s on the river you can’t actually get to the river. The bank is too steep. Be ware that the mattresses are extra firm. Some people would love that. Just didn’t work for us older folks! The host did say he would try to do something about it.Other than the mattresses our stay was great. Thanks “A RIVER RINS THROUGH IT”

Celebration trip

Perfect location for our needs, celebrating dad’s 90th birthday- who lives locally Needed overflow lodging for family- Perfect fit. House was immaculate, quiet location on Nottley River( when river is down- easy access to fly fishing) Firepit out back overlooking river is a great feature. Only used one bedroom, but bedding very comfortable. A most enjoyable stay Will rent again for sure.

Little Piece of Heaven on Earth

This place is fabulous! It is beautiful, well stocked, and set close to a serene river. Do not miss out on the back porch. It’s so peaceful to sit out back and watch the river. The beds are comfy and everything is clean. You can tell that the owners did not cut corners setting up this cabin. We will definitely be back again!

Get away

We wanted a cabin away from the hustle and bustle and tourist areas. The river in the back yard was the selling point for us. My husband and son enjoyed walking out the back door and fishing the river. I enjoyed sitting on the porch and balcony reading a book and watching them fish. The drive into Murphy was easy and we found what we needed there. We took a day trip to Bryson City and rode the train and enjoyed the views. The cabin hosts were very easy to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed for a few days. There are other cabins next door but the area was quiet and we were able to enjoy God’s beautiful creation. I highly recommend this cabin!

The perfect place in Murphy

A river runs through it… what a beautiful place to spend time at. We were there for business, but enjoyed the relaxing setting in the morning and evenings. The cabin provided everything we could even have thought we might would need. Two beautiful bedrooms, a kitchen full of topline appliances, pots, pans, utensils everything needed to make you feel right at home. It is definitely a place we would return to..😊

The Ultimate

The first spontaneous vacation that we have ever taken and probably the best. We have visited Murphy many times on vacation, but this about the only one that didn't have a mountain view. This one was a river property about 50 feet off the canoe trail. The owners were terrific and was able to book us without notice. This cabin may be the best kept secret in Murphy. The first time i laid down on the mattress, it felt to firm from what i was used to. But i have never slept any better than i have this week. In fact my wife and i have decided that we are going to change our mattress at home to one like this one. We only saw 2 people on our entrance road and they were walking their dogs. This was so peaceful and so immaculate in every way. The owners didn't overlook a thing. I forgot my Bible and i couldn't find one there but my bought me a new one Christian shop in murphy. We went to Brasstown and Blueridge and visited the Field of the Wood. We ate at Cooks Country KItchen in Blairsville. This cabin was neat and clean as you could ask. Weather was perfect. Don't miss a chance to stay here because you will be amazed. We will be back if it is available next year. I really believe this cabin will be booked solid in the near future. Thanks for letting us spend a week in this little piece of heaven on earth.P.S internet was top notch. The Bradfords

Hello we are Michael and Karen Brown. We have 13 year old twins and our family enjoys many activities and outdoor activities that Murphy offers. The activities include hiking, camping, mountain biking, boating, and many more. The mountains, rivers, lakes, and rivers provide the perfect get away for our family. When we are not out and about we enjoy watching sports, relaxing by the river, and hanging out at the fire ring for a few cocktails!

This neighborhood is located on a quiet area with a gravel road just 10 minutes outside of Murphy NC. This neighborhood provides the perfect get away to relax and unwind. The Nottely River which runs behind the property provides the perfect setting for relaxing on the back deck or hanging out around the fire ring. While the property sits outside of town, it is close to many outdoor activities.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

A River Runs Through It is a 3 year old cabin with an all wood interior. The open living room contains a 60" flat screen TV, new furniture, and a stone fireplace with gas logs. The kitchen has all new amenities and is stocked with everything you need to prepare a good home cooked meal! The master bedroom has a new king size bed, 40" flat screen TV, large master bathroom, a large walk-in closet, and a private deck overlooking the river. The guest bedroom contains a new queen size bed, 40" flat screen TV, and walk-in closet. The cabin has a large front porch, a large back deck with gas grill, and the private deck off master suite upstairs. There is also a firepit down near the river which is perfect for relaxing on a chilly night.
