Dog-friendly home to yourself - only 7 minutes to downtown Portland

Enjoy all that Portland offers in a comfortable, two-bedroom (plus finished basement) home in a quiet neighborhood all to yourself:
*Please note - there is a $100 pet fee if you choose to bring your dog.
*Spacious bedrooms and open living space with hardwood floors
*The bathroom is newly renovated with a newly tiled tub/shower.
*Finished basement with living room space, TV, and bedroom area.
*Reliable high-speed internet
*New heat pumps for heat and AC
*A deck with a gas grill and a fully enclosed and nicely landscaped backyard.
*Two off-street parking spaces (one behind the other) + plenty of on-street parking
*Full kitchen with pots and pans, plates and utensils, etc.

You will be staying in my family's home (you will have the entire property to yourself)– you should find space in the top drawers and some hangers in the closet. Please respect our space and belongings.

The home is 7 minutes from downtown (the Old Port). Whole Foods is also just a short drive away--as are Trader Joe's and other local supermarkets. And, of course, Portland has world-class restaurants.

I'm happy to provide advice to guests. As a native of the area, I can help recommend local restaurants, bars, nature, beaches, parks, music venues, breweries, etc., around Portland (and can also provide insights for other points of interest in Maine.)

No smoking is allowed in the home. There is a $100 pet fee if you bring your pet during your stay in our house.

This is was a great stay. Easy walk to Back Cove, minutes to downtown, and a great fenced in yard for my puppy. We also loved that the entire basement was finished and a great additional space to relax.

Portland trip

Easy check in, beds were very comfortable, great air conditioning, property was very close to downtown and we were able to uber everywhere very reasonably. Backyard was beautiful and the neighborhood was very cute and safe.

Perfect Portland Getaway

Lovely and comfortable home for a weekend stay for my small family and 2 dogs. Loved the quiet neighborhood location. A quick drive to anywhere we wanted to visit in Portland.

Family stay for friends visit

Check-in was seamless. Excellent experience all around. Kitchen was extremely well-stocked w pots, pans, etc., as well as snacks, coffee, spices and basic staples. The three Beds were very comfortable. Less than ten minute drive from downtown Portland. Down the block from a lovely short trail. Really perfect for us.

Wonderful location and house!

The property is clean, well organized, with everything that we needed on site! So grateful to be able to experience Portland with our pup- the neighborhood is very quiet and friendly, nice parks nearby, and downtown easily accessible by a longer walk or Lyft/short drive! Sarah was extremely communicative and available for questions leading up to, and during the stay- highly recommended!

The house and the yard were beautifully decorated and extremely well-kept. This house is located on a friendly block with great neighbors. There is a nice walking trail nearby, where I encountered a welcoming dog community. It was our first visit to Maine, and this lovely home made it a great experience. We look forward to staying here again.

Wedding Week

This is a great location! We came up to portland to get married and it was very close to drive to so many great spots. Cute neighborhood to walk around with local coffee shops. We brought our dog and the fenced in backyard was amazing! Utilized having the firepit and overall was just a wonderful space to relax and unwind before and after the celebrations!

Great stay in Portland!

My husband and I had a great time staying at Sarah’s house. The fenced in yard was awesome for the dog and the neighborhood was really cute. There was an abundance to do from restaurants, shopping, distilleries, breweries, icecream shops and coffee shops, walking trials, the beach. Everything was so close. I would definitely stay there again. Sarah was very helpful and attentive!

The perfect getaway

Sarah was so very kind and accommodating. Her place is much bigger than it appears in photos. My group of 5 had no problems. The backyard was perfect for our pup. Her space is also very cute and cozy the perfect spot for our elopement. The gardens are gorgeous and truly a great neighborhood. It is fairly close to everything so getting around was easy.

The perfect stay in Portland!

We could not have loved our stay at Sarah's property more! The home is meticulously decorated and even more stunning than the pictures portray. The beds were very comfortable, and we particularly loved the backyard space for our dog. Sarah was incredibly thoughtful in every detail - from providing instructions on how to use the coffee maker to providing firewood for the backyard firepit. The location was perfect - in a quiet neighborhood <10 minutes from downtown, with plenty of street parking. Sarah was very responsive with any questions we had and provided a great recommendation to a nearby restaurant, Tipo, which is within walking distance. We actually went to Tipo twice because we loved it so much! Overall we had a great experience, and we would absolutely stay here again for future trips to Portland!
