If you're booking a stay with us for dates beginning on or after January 1, 2026, please be aware that a Hawaii tourism tax increase of 0.75% will be implemented to support climate relief efforts on the Hawaiian islands.



Although this fee isn't currently reflected in our booking system (as it's not applicable to 2025 stays), we'll have to manually add it to your reservation if your stay is on or after January 1, 2026. We want to ensure transparency and provide you with an accurate total cost for your stay. By booking with us, you agree to pay this new 0.75% state tax+0.05% processing fee (total of 0.80%) and authorize us to charge it to your booking.

RESORT DISCLOSURE:

*Mauna Kea Resort has renovations occurring through 2026. Hapuna Beach Paradise is not near or directly affected by construction or noise; however guests may potentially be limited to resort amenities on the Mauna Kea Resort. Owner has no control over the resort renovations and amenities may be subject to change by management.

TRANSPORTATION: A car is recommended.

Under New Management. We were previously listed on Vrbo and consistently ranked 5 stars. We were unable to transfer our reviews over but rest assured you are working with a highly rated and desired property.

USER AGREEMENT: After your booking is accepted, you will receive a copy of our home and resort use agreement. We require this to be signed and returned along with photo ID in order to confirm your booking.

IMPORTANT: Hawaii is located in a tropical climate, and insects, rodents and lizards flourish in this environment. Guests are reminded to keep lanai/patio doors closed especially at night. If our guest spots more than the normal expected pests, we always make our best efforts to contact and work with the HOA to minimize your interactions with these pests. Any contact with such pests within or outside the unit does not constitute a breach of this Agreement or give Guest any right to any refund or rental adjustment.

LARGE GROUPS: If you are traveling with multiple families and want to be together in the same building, we can coordinate with other owners to help find similar accommodations. Let us know how many groups you are traveling with, their needs and we will help you have a great time together.
