We had a wonderful stay. The host was very responsive and even accommodated an early checkin. The property itself is beautiful, and it's also steps away from the beach. The host provided plenty of beach chairs. We'd definitely stay here again!

Great stay for 6-8 people!

Easy walk to the beach. Dog friendly was a plus for us! The downstairs (disconnected from upstairs) had two queen beds with a divider wall, which was perfect for our group. A big thanks to Bill for being communicative and kind! Would stay again.

This is a great beach house! A bit basic, but the location was great, with an easy walk to the beach, and we absolutely loved the screened back porch and deck… the view of the creek was wonderfully relaxing… so much better than just staring at someone else’s house! We did find the light/fan switches to be quite confusing… a notecard or labels would have been quite helpful! All in all it was a great stay!

We had a good week! Kitchen had plenty of dishes and cutlery. Check-in was easy. Washer, dryer, and grill were great. Beds were comfy, however, downstairs room had a lot of dampness/moisture problem. Overall, we still had a great time and made wonderful memories!

The Pelican House was perfect in every way. It has a well stocked kitchen and most comfortable beds. The location is great! We thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks there.

Great house with great location!

We really enjoyed the house; lots of room and the screened in back porch was awesome! The house is conveniently located near the beach and in a quiet spot. We plan to return next year!

Spacious, clean quiet and the most relaxing vacation in a long time.

The home is lovely and spacious and everything you need to just sit back and enjoy yourself. The location was a lovely surprise because the back yard is what we described as a wild life sanctuary. What a treat! We loved every minute of the short week we had.

This house is only a very short walk from the beach and pier. It has a good amount of beds and is setup perfectly for a nice relaxing time.

Great spot near beach & on the marsh

Very easy layout for our family to be comfortable. The house was in a great location, with beautiful views. We loved the screened porch & kayaked in the marsh behind the house. Short 5 minute walk to the beach.

Very nice

We enjoyed our stay. It was very clean, about a 5 minute walk to the beach. The teenagers enjoyed having their own room with the two beds and their own entrance. Will stay again.

Quiet, Beautiful, Convenient!

We wouldn't stay anywhere else on Oak Island! House is well-equipped and comfortable. Beautiful views of Davis Canal and its wildlife from the big back deck or screened-in porch and only a two-block walk to the beach. Restaurants and shops just a few minutes away by car. Plus, the owner is responsive and very helpful.

Perfect location

The Pelican House was perfect for our 2 week stay! The walk to the beach was so quick it was easy to go back and forth throughout the day. The view of the marsh was changing all the time and it was fun to watch all the wildlife. Breakfast in the rocking chairs out back was a great way to start the day. We really enjoyed staying here!! No complaints!

Amazing beach house. Very quiet, peaceful location. So relaxing sitting on the screened in porch or on the deck and watching the Egrets visit! Beautiful view of the marsh. Just what we needed, and our dog loved it too!

Great get away

This is the second year we have rented this home. We enjoy the short walk to the beach, the porches, the waterway behind the house, and overall location on the island. The owner is great to work with and communication is quick and easy. We are hoping to return again next year!

Birthday and anniversary

We really liked the location being set back on the marsh in a quiet, peacefully spot away from the traffic with only a 5 minute walk to the beach. Plenty of space to spread out and lots of options to choose from. Front and back decks with a screen porch as well. Nice spot to get away. Highly recommended for a beach get away!

We finally found a house! It was perfect for our week stay! The marsh in the back gave my boys so much excitement catching fish and crab!! Great and easy walk to the beach! Plenty of room for this family of 5! It’s taking us 5 summers and this time we found our vacation house! We will be back next year!!! What a spot!!

Me and my little dog

Had to get to the beach one last time before winter. Gorgeous. Ocean was still swimmable. And the place on the marsh was magical (yet only two blocks from the beach). Might have to come back for two weeks next fall.
