The home features a large back patio with a barbecue to enjoy some down time with friends and family.

The Cajun Cottage is absolutely Charming! very clean and spacious in a very quiet neighborhood, I truly enjoy my stay here and will definitely stay here again when I visit lake Charles. Highly recommended.

It was a nice stay and close to all attractions we wanted to visit! One thing we were a little disappointed about was the stove had not seemed to be connected and did not work in the morning when we tried to make breakfast. Everything else of the stay was perfect!

The mattresses where less than desirable and the couch was very broken in. There was only glassware available in the kitchen so be prepared to buy paper plates if you have young children. Other than those small inconveniences the place was great.

Great stay

Self check in was really appreciated since it worked with my schedule. Clean house, great number of kitchen instruments, provided towels, loved the kitchen/dining area to spread out work, and have dinner. Long driveway fit 4 of our vehicles. Firepit was nice, they let us use the charcoal/ lighter fluid. Had a great laugh at the glow in the dark toilet seats, excellent touch.

Adorable home in Lake Charles

This home was more than we expected. From the outside it looks smaller than it is but once we got inside we saw it was quite bigger than it seemed and had a really neat layout! The kitchen was large and the living room was very cozy. The owners responded fast when we messaged and were so pleasant! We would definitely stay here again!!

Cozy place to stay for a family of 4

Stayed here for one night on our back to Texas from Florida. The property was extremely comfortable with almost every kitchen amenity you could think of. The teens loved having their own room and loved the glow in the dark toilet seats. The master suite was also comfortable. This is more of a preference, but the only set of blinds in the entire house was on the front door. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and loved how responsive and welcoming the host was. Would definitely stay here again!

My overall summary of the property was a place where family and friends can enjoy themselves and feel safe. The location is in good proximity to the casino, eating and shopping. This house was our first VRBO rental in this city. Tried to get it several more times but never available. We tried 3 other rentals in the interim. Very roomy and relaxing

We had fantastic communication with our host, Michael. We stayed just one night traveling home from TX to FL. The home was perfect! It was very roomy and quite lovely inside. There was seating outdoors for relaxing, as well. The kitchen was large and had everything you'd need! There were no pics of the kitchen on the listing, but it was fantastic! The home was conveniently located near Route 10. THANK YOU SO MUCH, Michael.

Vintage Cottage with Mother-In-Law Suite

Kitchen was fully stocked, large and updated. Adorable dining table in beautiful room with French doors on both sides. Cheerful ambiance and decor. Lots of room for family to cook and eat. Loved the mother-in-law suite separated by kitchen and dining, Enormous bedroom in mother-in-law suite, separate access to the back porch and back deck. The wooden fence was literally leaning on the house so not safe to let kids or pets play with being attached to a parent. Hopefully replaced by now. Enormous sectional sofa in the living room, loved it so much we had to buy one like it when we got home. No sidewalks but the neighborhood was quiet for the night we spent. Felt safe. Adorable vintage cottage. Long driveway. Fit both cars. Thankful for the stay!

A few of us drove to "the city" for a kid-free slumber party. Everything was as described, house was immaculate, there were plenty of dishes & kitchen utensils for anything we needed to do. We actually fell asleep on the sectional so I can't speak for the beds. Window treatments are mostly sheer so if you're a light sleeper, bring a mask. Parking is a single car driveway so if you max out capacity definitely carpool. Vrbo gave us an incorrect door code and when I reached out to the owner she responded immediately. I didn't realize I was emailing from two different accounts so when it looked like my account had been charged but there was no confirmation email, she got back to me right away and assured me it was showing booked on her side. If we ever have opportunity to run away from home again, we'll run back to this same house.
