Escape to a slice of paradise in our enchanting cottage, nestled on 140 acres of pristine land. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty that surrounds you. With meandering hiking trails, breathtaking sunsets views, and access to world class fishing. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway, a family adventure, or a peaceful retreat, our cottage offers the perfect haven. Reconnect with nature, unwind in style, and create cherished memories that will last a lifetime. Sauna, Jacuzzi Tub & Canoes.

The space
Beautiful secluded property that offers lots of privacy.This cottage is 2 bedrooms, plus a bunkie that is attached to the cottage. Equipped with a dock on the lake (Georgian Bay) which makes it perfect for boaters and fisherman. Parking is available on the neighbouring property for free. In order to access the cottage you must take a 20ft ride in a row boat across a small creek. I have provided a photo to give you a better understanding of the distance, you may also choose to boat in from Moon River Marina if you prefer. Canoes and lifejackets have been provided at no extra cost. Access to a private waterfall and creek that runs right through the property. Lots of wildlife and trails to explore. This area is also known for world renowned fishing. The largest Canadian muskie ever caught was caught in Blackstone harbour just 10 mins away, weighing close to 70 lbs.

Guest access
You can access any and everywhere. Moon river falls is a very popular destination, it's a 10 min boat ride from this property. Feel free to even take one of the canoes, however it will take you closer to 2.5 hours by canoe.

Other things to note
Please keep in mind this is a rural cottage. Which means theirs lots of wildlife up here, ranging from birds to foxes, snakes and even the odd bear. In the 30 years my family has owned this property I've only ever seen 2 bears. This cottage is equipped with a pump that pulls water from the lake, DO NOT drink directly from the tap. Some drinking water will be provided, however we recommend that you bring your own water. Cameras have been added outside the property for extra security.

The cottage was as advertised - 'secluded' with great views ,walking paths and an added bonus was the fishing. It was a quiet beautiful retreat as seen in the photo. PS: the scribing around the rock in the deck is pretty amazing on the way there is a food truck in Mactier that has yummy fresh cut fries and smash burgers

Great view from a beautiful deck

Our family of four enjoyed our stay at this wilderness cottage. Amazing wildlife in the area, we saw it all! Beautiful front deck with view of the bay and the very large screened porch was great for evening activities. Excellent communication with the host, he responds quickly and was super helpful. Be sure to have bug spray ready for when you arrive, as it is an uphill walk to get to the cottage. Water level was low making swimming at the dock less desirable; you really should rent a boat or canoes/kayaks to get out into the main bay. Our boat trip to Moon River Falls was a highlight, as it is a beautiful location and good fishing. Overall, a great experience.

This was a very unique place to stay! Be prepared to travel off the beaten path. The transferring of the creek to get to this place is what attracted me to give it a try! Once across the path to the house is a trek, but worth the effort. The home is simple and clean. The veiws out to the bay are stunning! Access to the bay is good as well with 2 docking location. I would recommend this to any true outdoorsy or adventurous folk! I will be back! Thank you!

Super awesome stay !

We recently stayed at the cottage for my husband's birthday, and it was fantastic. The location is stunning—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by raspberry bushes and wild blueberries. We had a blast foraging for berries. The cottage is cozy, clean, and well-kept, with everything we needed from coffee and tea to clean towels and a fully equipped kitchen. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our puppy loved swimming in the nearby lake. The serene environment made it the perfect retreat, with almost no neighbors around. The host was very accommodating and responsive as well. Highly recommend this cottage for a tranquil and picturesque getaway. We look forward to returning!
