Everything was great. Only issue was that you can hear everything from the tenant thats above when they are walking the floor and the TV they are watching. Thats the reason for the 4 stars. I would advise to bring ear plugs if you are trying to rest before midnight.

Good place for a good time

Had a good time with some friends for a night! Loved the bar and table set up, great for hanging out. Good location, quiet neighborhood. Overall had a good time!

Better than hotel

Very nicely done basement in home.Top of line Bose home theater system, and tv equipment. Fun games, nice sauna,hot tub was very relaxing. Furniture was nice, and i would absolutely stay here again.Very clean and comfortable.

Pretty good place, a few quirks

Pretty good place, clean, comfy bed. The only negatives for us were very limited parking (no street parking and narrow driveway that has to be shared w owner's car although they did park on their lawn) and very complicated smart lights and switches--lots and lots of switches and several remotes that you had to figure out how to use to get the lighting you want. Also its a basement and you can really hear people walking around upstairs, which they sometimes did quite late at night (like 3 am).

Couldn’t stay - uninhabitable, stained sheets, filthy place

I don’t know how this place exists. The sheets had huge stains, bed wasn’t made, second bed had no sheets, dirty laundry, dirty bathroom, trashes not emptied, when confronted owner she said she doesn’t do those chores and that the sheets are clean enough. Also lied about hot tub, second bed is air mattress, and dog barked and smelled like skunk.

Im sure if any of what was just said above was true, I wouldn't have 4 and 5 star reviews ever! These people didn't show up and wanted their money back.

First of all we did like the place. It was a cool little basement apartment but there were lots of issues. The place was very dirty. The shower hadn’t been cleaned in a while and there were several used bars of soap as well as shampoos left in it. The toilet was dirty, the mirror was dirty, the tooth brush cup was dirty and the trash hadn’t been emptied. In the kitchen, there was a dish towel hanging above the trash can that had food on it with gnats buzzing around. The sink was dirty, the microwave and fridge were horribly dirty. It’s was all dirty. The pool table was dirty. The bed was barely made. There were no check in or checkout instructions anywhere. One of the drawers next to the bed was full of someone else’s socks. There were way too many remote controls lying around with zero instructions on what they go to. The amenities were probably cool but there were no instructions on how to use the sauna. The video game looked like you had to pay to use it. The place had an overall musky and stale smell too. It was just not a pleasant experience. The driveway was very narrow. We had to pull forward enough not to block the yard for the other renter in the upstairs and that left us with very little room to get in and out of our vehicle. When i called the owner to get the check in instructions she said it should be in the VRBO listing but that she would give them to me anyway. She seemed more bothered than helpful. I took many pictures of the place for proof

Good Little Place

Good place. It might exceed or fall below your expectations depending on what your expectations were. I'll just give you my take. This place was competing on price with low/mid-level hotels, and it beats the heck out of those places. Lots of space, very comfortable bed. The couch is big and comfortable, the sound on the TV is excellent. If I had been with a friend or two to hang out, we would have made better use of the pool table and the nice sturdy round table with comfy chairs for games or something. Didn't use the kitchen area much, but it's there and looks fine. Fridge worked. Didn't use the sauna, but cool that it's there.It is a basement. Natural light comes through a couple of windows and down from the entryway. It's not at all dark or dank, but especially in the kitchen/eating area where there aren't windows you know you are in a basement. Biggest complaint is if you don't like fragrances, there were several operational air fresheners. Near as I could tell, they were not disguising other smells. It just happened to be that one of my traveling companions is sensitive to smell, so it was not a pleasant experience for them.Really nice shower. Smallish, but great shower head. Nicely done bathroom overall.You communicate with the property owner via text, not primarily through the VRBO messaging system. At least as a default.I say go for it, unless you are sensitive to fragrances or really need/want an above ground place.

The check in was very unprofessional & communication skills were VERY Poor!! I texted her the day before check in regarding the access details and she just blew me off and never reached back out I had to call up arrival just too get check in instructions, when I called she answered the phone like “yeah” I’m like hi it’s your tenant through Vrbo to 3 im trying to check in she’s like I sent it yesterday but I’ll text it to you I’m in a poker tournament. ??? How rude and unprofessional that was.. I proceeded to enter the property in hopes that the living space would at least be clean & comfortable & boy when I tell you I was disappointed! The sheets on the “second bed”(air bed) were FILTHY , the kitchen and living room was FILTHY crumbs and sticky liquid on counters everywhere!! No hot Tub in sight hair on toilet and in sink I mean literally the only thing clean was the carpet looked freshly vacuumed and that was about it. They have a arcade machine you can use for additional cost . So not only did they lie about one of the amenities(hot tub) but the arcade comes at an additional charge. They also had a dog upstairs that was barking upon arrival. They have no signs on which way to go when you first enter causing me to accidentally enter their personal home bathroom and boy when I tell you how filthy it was I know they aren’t properly cleaning the basement. It was also a hamper with dirty towels from previous stay so evidence of not doing laundry. We didn’t stay waste of smh!

This space was dirty and nasty. There was dried-up urine on the toilet seat. The carpet was not vacuumed. The sheets and blankets did not appear to be cleaned. There was no jacuzzi or water in the water.

The bedding was not clean and fresh and had some type of particles on it.

This is the door the leads to the basement and can be accessed three different ways. I felt unsafe and unsecured.

These are supposed to be the extra linings. Not folded or fresh just sitting on the couch where others have been sitting. NOT Sanitary.
