It's wine time on the river! Amenities of this home include a washer/dryer exclusively for guest use, a full kitchen with all the essentials, a gas fireplace, and more! Outside, you will find a private hot tub, a fire-pit and grill, PLUS access to the beautiful Pedernales River! Guests can swim or fish in one of Texas' most famous rivers. Plus, this beautifully appointed Texas home is less than one mile from some of Fredericksburg's best wineries! Enjoy everything wine country has to offer during your stay at Wine Down River!

Due to the Hill Country location of our rentals, you may encounter wildlife (Snakes, Deer, Raccoons, Squirrels, Possum, Birds (including Hawks), ETC). Please be aware of your surroundings, take caution while driving at night, and supervise your children at all times while they are outdoors. In addition, all properties do utilize pest control services on a regular basis BUT this does not guarantee pests or bugs will not be visible. This includes but is not limited to: ants, snakes, spiders, scorpions, beetles/roaches/water-bugs, mice, or flies.

The house is clean and furnished nice. It's in a great location. One big issue was the TV would not connect to Wi-Fi so we were unable to watch anything when we got home in the evenings. We didn't get much help from management on the problem either. Watching a football playoff would've been much better on a TV rather than my phone.

Perfect Location For Us

My sister and I wanted to visit Fredericksburg but also wanted to stay outside of town and this location was PERFECT! Just far enough out of town to feelike you’re in the country but close enough for a quick trip to town! Highly recommend this location!

Great Home

This house has everything you need for a quiet comfortable vacation. Close to town yet far enough away for a peaceful retreat. Has to be the best sleep I have gotten in a long time. Very quiet with a great bed. Hope to stay again in the future.

A nice getaway

Great time in a beautiful place among the trees and wildlife. The lllamas and goats were a plus on the adjoining property! Very clean and well-appointed home, but would suggest the addition of clothes hangers in the closet. All in all, 5 stars!

Great house on the river

We really enjoyed the location of this property. It was close to fredricksburg, wineries, and luckenbach. We mainly booked this house bc it was on the river. We did fish and caught bass and sunfish. The house was a little dirty on the inside and outside thats why we gave it 4 stars. Other than that we loved the property and we would stay there again.

Girls Getaway

The home interior was super cute, comfortable, clean, and updated. Great location for wineries. The rear of the property itself was bigger than I thought and perfect for some relaxation and peace. Totally worth it.

Good size house with beautiful field that leads into river. We would definitely go back but maybe not during bug season. Still, great value and very peaceful and wonderful stay. My husband asked me to keep address so we could come back!

Perfect Location

Thanks for the property being exactly as advertised! the property was very clean - not any dirt or a cobweb in sight (which is hard for a country home). It was quiet, beautiful and exactly what we expected. Kitchen well stocked though could benefit from a new can opener. Even though it’s 20 minutes to Fredericksburg- it’s away from the crowds - so you get all the fun without being cramped with other visitors. Lovely place, we’ll be back.

Excellent!

We loved our stay at Wine Down River! The home was very well equipped with anything and everything we needed. I felt like I was at home. We loved the layout and the big back area and access to the river. Enjoyed canoeing, hot tub, fishing (caught one), and coffee on the back patio. Communications with property manager were the best. We are looking forward to planning another trip and taking another couple to enjoy with since it has 2 bedrooms, and also the bed is super comfortable! Short drive to Fredericksburg and if you're going for the wine, you can hit about 30 wineries on the way! You won't go wrong staying here.

Wonderful Girl's Trip

We had a wonderful stay at Wine Down River! It's exactly as pictured. The house was well equipped and had an abundance of bath/kitchen towels and bed linens. With seven adult woman, this was greatly appreciated. We enjoyed the large backyard with the river view whether on the patio deck, in the hot tub or on the river deck. It is a great and convenient location for exploring the area towns and wineries. We packed a lot in during our stay but also spent time relaxing and dining at the house. It was peaceful and quiet. Property management was very responsive and attentive to our needs. We highly recommend Wine Down River and would love to return.

It was perfect location to hit new wineries each day. We picked up fresh peaches to make peach beninis. Yum! The host never responded to requests for help with TV which did not seem to have nbC for Olympics. Very disappointing. It would help to have tv directions available and. Something to show which light switches address which lights. Kitchen was well stocked. I would still recommend it. The dog enjoyed it too. Visiting the llama and goat next door..

The inside of this house is just as advertised. The outside is not well kept. The yard and landscaping is very overgrown and there was a “For Sale” sign on it. Take the sign down and weed the gardens when you have active visitors staying. Also, we were misled about the available appliances. We had a friend who needed a single cup keurig. We asked prior to arrival and they confirmed that both a drip pot and Keurig were available. When we asked about it upon arrival, we were blamed for the mistake instead of a keurig being provided, we were not able to use the canoes because there was no dock available for entry. The hot tub and scenery out back were beautiful. The place was clean. Be warned that it is a septic tank and that isn’t communicated well either. It would seem that the property owner and manager are disconnected and things are being missed. We still enjoyed a lot of it but with a little work on curb appeal and customer service this could be a 5-star place.

Such a cute property! The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The little house is charming and the back patio is a delight to watch the river roll by. You are right between Johnson City and Fredericksburg, which makes it nice and easy travel to both cities.
