The front porch of the Cottage is perfect for a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the afternoon. Or enjoy sitting in the yard at the Cottage to enjoy some peaceful time and watch for deer in the neighborhood. Being located in one of the Historical District of San Marcos allows you to admire many Victorian homes that have been preserved on a walk in the neighborhood. An added bonus is the Cottage is on the property of a Victorian House built around 1890.

this home was exactly as described. It was very easy getting in contact with the host and she also had one other person available to us if we needed anything. The home was perfectly located for our needs. It got cold the weekend we were there, the heater quit, but the homeowner had a portable one brought over immediately. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home in the historic district

The house was lovely and so peaceful, very quiet. Bed was comfy and the home was well appointed with all of the things you would need.

Wonderful experience

My husband and I loved our stay. The lighted yard is beautiful and I wish we had been there longer to enjoy it more. The full size bed was a little small for us, but other than that, everything was absolute perfection! Highly recommend!!

My husband and I were in town for a conference and came across this hidden gem in an excellent location!Close to downtown and everywhere in San Marcos we needed to be but in a quaint, quiet location.Judy was a fantastic and very welcoming host & we will definitely be back!

Our stay in this lovely cottage was so beautiful and peaceful. The host was pleasant and is a retired TXST Alumni. We loved the atmosphere and hospitality. There are a few rock steps up to the yard from parking but very doable. Parking is shaded by a lovely well established tree. There is a ramp or steps into the cottage which was very nice. Beautiful art installations in the garden and yard.

Property was as described. We enjoyed it being in a historic district and the neighborhood was fun to walk in. The kitchen was well appointed and the location convenient. Would point out that the bed is a full bed and was cozy for us. Would return again.

Property is very charming and makes good impressions on your guest. The deer like to graze in the backyard. While the actual building may be on the smaller side, there is plenty of space outside to hang out.

Pleasant and quiet stay

Judy was a good host to us, responding quickly when we reached out. The place is neat and clean. There was good cellular reception there and a TV that connected to devices for streaming in addition to the TV and programs available through the cable company. There is a supermarket within walking distance and the downtown is close as well. The area is quiet, private and comfortable for walking on either hilly or relatively flat terrain.

Precious Cottage

Everything about this cute cottage was perfect. The front porch was wonderful for coffee in the morning as well as cocktails in the evenings. Judy was an excellent and very kind hostess. The late-night deer in the backyard was an added bonus! The location was ideal for restaurants, the football game, and downtown. The cottage itself was paradise for our 4 day weekend Homecoming vacation. This cottage was perfect! The main home on property is a must see historical home. We will definitely be back!
