I would like to thank Deb for her review as we always review and address any problems that we are not aware of and to resolve. It was a pleasure to have met these very nice and respectful people. Unfortunately, it did become apparent that Deb did not understand the concept of a VRBO rental and wanted a hotel experience as she was expecting concierge service with daily cleaning for no charge as well as other services which are not provided unless ordered and was clearly stated before rental. The property manager Fred had explained that after the two - 18.9 water litre jugs supplied for the dispenser are used to finish it is the responsibility of the renter to stock. They were told of a location that is close and easy to access. But still Fred needed to purchase the water. The coffee is always important and is famous and delicious in this area. The lack of a coffee maker was because a percolator is supplied for having coffee instead of the high power draining coffee machine on a solar power system. Which was addressed with the guest. The beds are somewhat of a mystery as we have more than decent mattresses with an additional added top. Maybe the comparison of the mattress is to a home mattress that may be of memory foam or of an extremely high quality bed. I cannot understand as I myself use these beds between rentals. The sheets themselves are thin. Yes, but we are in a tropical environment and the heat is an issue. We do supply blankets. But they are seldom used. The quality of the sheets are good. I used and enjoy them and do not know what her standards of comparison could be. The downstairs fan works to circulate the airflow and does not like any fan control humidity. The floating chair was actually left for their use because it was left by a previous tenant. Again, the information of what was provided with the rental and again when the property manager Fred was asked. No the floatations are not supplied and they are very affordable to purchase locally if needed. The uncomfortable lounge chairs are bare when purchased, but we do supply and informed the guest of towel with a hood type area stitched on to put these towels over the chair similar as a hoodie. But it was noticed they did use these as drying towels. The screen doors are repaired after each visit as they are ofter walked threw, pulled on and treated roughly in an even rougher climate. The doors are always in working order and function. The issue with the construction was very unfortunate and happened out of nowhere. We have a lot beside our rental that has been empty for essentially forever. Late Sunday, the night before the guests arrival our security did notice a white vehicle with two occupants in casual clothes walking about that property. The next day after the guests arrival. The trucks began to dump the materials. The owner of the lot was found and after a discussion with him about the work and being told it would be completed that day. We provided cleaning and deeply apologized for the inconvenience. But in the hospitality industry, and in life. When a problem occurs it is what you do to repair or the effort to correct the issue that is important. Yet the owner worked two additional days and was unwilling to compensate our guests. All was tried and we were not responsible for this. We were completely unaware of the project. Which is completed now as the owner was only backfilling his lot to grade. We do wish the construction did not happen obviously. The other issues are again issues with this guest that we consider to have unrealistic expectations as demonstrated by the information of what was supplied and the insistence for more beyond the agreement to rent. The fan, the sheets and the beds are what i consider more than appropriate, comfortable and functional . I do not know to what standards she is requiring past this. Again, very nice and respectful people that are not a problem to the property. But I would not repeat the rental as this customer is unrealistic in expectations and does not seem to understand the concept of VRBO. I would rather not have a guest that I will never be able to satisfy to unreasonable expectations. I will move on and rent again to the people that came immediately after this renter who did understand the VRBO concept and told me that the whole family loved their stay and that they will definitely return as like 70% of our guests and our current guests who have returned after two years of anticipation.
