​Welcome to Copper Top, our spacious barndominium just minutes away from the serene shores of Lake Superior! Designed and built by five families with the sole purpose of creating a haven for relaxation and enjoyment, we're excited to share this unique space with everyone.

This charming retreat boasts ample space for large gatherings, featuring 8 bedrooms and cozy living areas where memories are waiting to be made. Whether you're unwinding indoors or exploring the beauty of the Upper Peninsula, this property offers the perfect blend of comfort and adventure.

Situated just minutes from the lake shore, outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate easy access to riding trails, hiking, rock hunting, and so much more! And after a day of outdoor fun, gather around the fire pit under the starry sky for s'mores and stories, or engage in some competitive games of indoor basketball, darts, or shuffleboard!

Great family time. 2025

We lost our daughter 8 yrs ago. Since then we try and have us all together every chance we can. We plan on a family vacation 1 time a year since we all live in different parts of the state and can work our busy schedule together. We haven't been able to do it every year but we try. This year we all agreed on Copper Barndominium. It has everything. Enough room for all of us. With them having a big place with toys for the Great Grandkids can play. And not have to worry about them. They were right there inside where we watch them. They had a blast. 5 minutes from Lake Superior. Frist time seeing it for most of us. Would definitely recommend to any one. We loved it. As my 3year old Great Grand Daughter said as we were leaving "this was awsome".

The Best!!!

This place is legit!!! Totally what we wanted and needed. Super fun place to stay in a great remote part of the UP. We had so much fun and will definitely stay again if we make it up this way again.

Great property

Our 3 generation family had a great time here! Different, fun experience from most places we’ve rented - kiddos loved the bounce house, BB goal, toys and games and adults enjoyed all the space and bedrooms! No problem getting a quick response with any questions we had! We’d definitely stay here again!

Grand Marias Jeeping

The place was just like it was described, our group of 17 people fit right in here, activities for the evenings, plenty of space for everyone be it games or chilling in front of the TV. The kitchen, the blackstone, awesome, perfect for the group! We try to move around to different places, but this will be on the list to return. Awesome is all we can say!!

Everything we had hoped for and more

Great concept, great location! We were up there with friends to ride and check out the fall colors, there was a lot to do at the property when we came back in the evenings so we were able to relax and have a great time even when we weren't out exploring! 10 out of 10

Girls Trip

We organized a girls weekend with my family ranging in age from 5 to 87 years old. This place had everything we needed and then more. It was a great space that allowed everyone to be together and make memories while also allowing us enough space to spread out when we needed too. We were close to town and the beach so it was absolutely perfect. I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming up in the Grand Marais area.

Extended Family Vacation

This place was perfectly located for our trip! Short drive to local attractions and very very short drive to more than one local beach in case we didn’t feel like venturing out very far for the day! As described and we loved using the grill to cook so we had minimal dishes. The space is very well laid out for multiple families or big groups. Would love to visit again. Thanks!!

A Time to be together

The property and facilities were beautiful. We went to Grand Marais to bury my husband by his family. Copper Top allowed us a place to gather our family and just be a family.

What an awesome place and hosts !

Went on our annual fishing trip to the UP. The place is amazing and the hosts are top notch. This place has everything you could want and more. We can’t wait to come back. Best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Wish I could give it more stars because they deserve it.
