Your beach getaway begins the moment you enter this serene oceanfront 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom Captain's House condo. Guests will be swept away by the coastal décor, peaceful color scheme and beautiful views this seaside ground level condo offers.

The living area features a king sleeper sofa, a flat screen smart TV, a comfortable swivel glider and absolutely gorgeous oceanfront views. Those incredible views await just beyond the sliding glass doors! Guests will appreciate the spacious covered back deck which is the heart of this coastal retreat. Furnished with a café table and two chairs this outdoor space will be a favorite spot to enjoy morning coffee or evening cocktails. Two additional chairs create a perfect reading nook where you can relax and unwind.

The chef will also be able to take in the ocean view while preparing meals in the fully stocked kitchen featuring warm oak cabinets and stainless-steel appliances. This bright open space adjoins the dining area which boasts a table with seating for four. Additional seating for two is available at the bar.

The master bedroom suite features a king size bed, whitewashed furniture and a flat screen smart TV. The attached and updated full bathroom includes a tiled walk-in shower and marble topped vanity.

The second bedroom continues the stylish coastal theme with whitewashed furnishings along with a queen bed. The second full bathroom is in the hall and is similarly updated with a marble topped vanity and tiled walk-in shower.

A full-size washer and dryer provides guests convenience after a long day spent on the shore! A twin cot is also provided to add one more sleeping space! This one truly checks every box!

This seaside retreat is walking distance to live music and food! A quick drive will take you to the historic downtown area where you can enjoy many shops and restaurants. Whether you choose to indulge in a sweet treat from Fantastic Fudge, dive into a good read from the Book Loft, or grab your morning coffee from Amelia Island Coffee, Fernandina's downtown is nothing short of a charming coastal community!

This property is gorgeous, inside and out! Kudos on a the little things they thought of like starter supplies in the kitchen, the guide book with all the local and emergency info you could possibly need, and the check in mid-stay just to make sure we were good and didn’t need anything. The path to the beach is direct and our pup loved being so close. So nice to find a pet friendly location! 10/10 definitely would stay and again and recommend. Note: Previous review(s) mentioned noise from upstairs, we heard it once when guests were leaving at the end of their stay making multiple trips to their car with luggage, it was so short lived and totally understandable. Book your next getaway here, you won’t be disappointed!

Luxury Beachfront Getaway Home

What a lovely, well-appointed home. From the decor to the bedding - we were so comfortable here these five days. The kitchen was stocked for two chefs to cook many meals and dining in the dining room was a joy. The large patio view to the ocean was delightful for coffee or cocktails. We highly recommend staying here at The Captain’s House.

This is by far the best place that we have ever stayed in Fernandina Beach and we have been here at least 10 times. Extremely clean, very comfortable, well equipped kitchen, and the management is amazing. We will definitely be returning. Beautiful view from the patio.

This condo is stocked so well, clean, great location, great views, easy walk to the beach, and so much larger in person than the photos. You will not find a better deal in Amelia. We will be back!

Highly recommend

This is a smaller condo, with everything you could need, and an ideal location. My wife, two small dogs, and I stayed for four nights. Right on the beach, and about 1.5 miles to downtown historic district, and even closer to the greenway and Fort Clinch. The only negative was the master bedroom is not on the Ocean Side so we could not hear the ocean at night. This is a great little condo, on the ground floor, that was everything we could ask for.

Great location, about 60 steps to the beach. Extremely clean and well stocked with anything you need. Den is small and seats no more than three people comfortably. We were on the first floor and could hear people above us. Bring ear plugs.

Beautiful View noisy upstairs

Well decorated vondo. Outstanding view. Perfect location to walk everywhere. Bathrooms need decent drawer or storage for items. Shelving was inadequate and needed to out a towel there for holding anything. Bring a bottom level unit - be prepared for stomping above. Tables and chairs scrapping the floor.. very noisy and disturbing!! These guests arrived in middle of night and departed at 3 am. Woke us up!!! Unbelievable.

Delivery of Needed Respite and We Will Return :-)

Living in Central FL, we wanted to avoid the overcrowded areas of tourists during spring break. While slightly cooler, the NE FL area was attractive to us. Captains House was our perfect quiet stay with a few kids needing a break from school and us from work. The beach walkout was ideal exactly the private nature we needed. The condo was quiet and private. We had ample space. It was clean and well appointed. We arrived after work, had no trouble entering. Stocked up plenty of snacks and food for meals at local grocery. Beached away the first day. Played Clue on a rainy day. Visited Jacksonville for the Brumos and indoor skydiving. Walked through Big Talbot. Visited the pirates of St Augustine on the way home. And able to do all with our little old gal, our dog family who is white with black spots and who just loves us too much to have us leave her alone after all our years together. Do bring a crate and know that dogs are not permitted on furniture if you bring your fur family member. We will return to Captains again. My closest find to Door County, WI, where I am originally from and always keep on my mind.
