Beautiful new 6 bedroom lakehouse close to Halifax

This stylish lakehouse is perfect for your family vacation. It’s super private and surrounded by nature, while being close to all the amenities and Halifax. It is on the road to Peggy's Cove (30 mins) and an easy day trip to Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, sandy beaches and much more. You have private access to a lake you can swim, paddleboard, fish, and kayak in. Watch the sunset on the lake while roasting marshmallows at the fire pit. Includes gourmet kitchen, games room, fireplace, kids room, office…
The space
This house was newly built in 2020. It was furnished in 2022 and everything in it is brand new. The house is in the family oriented subdivision of Westwood Hills but is tucked away down a dirt road, and it is currently the only house on this side of the lake. In fact, there are only 2 houses that have lake access and the other one is on the other side, so it is super private. The property is on 3 acres and you are surrounded by trees and feel like you are immersed in nature while being very close to the city. You will likely spot deer, turtles, bunnies, frogs and groundhogs and see lots of stars in the night sky.
Great attention to detail was given when decorating the house in a modern, comfortable and clean style.
The adults can take one of the 4 rooms with king or queen sized beds and all the kids can bunk and chill together in the large paddle board themed room that has 6 twin beds (3 trundles). There is lots of fun to be had in the games room downstairs. Here you will find a pool table, air hockey and ping pong. There is a 65” TV for family movie night and games table for playing cards and board games, a swing to hang out in and fun wall games for a game of scrabble or hooky.
In the main living area you will find a well supplied kitchen (minus the food) another TV/lounging area and a large dining table. There is also a office with 2 desks and a quiet reading chair that converts into a twin bed, there is also space to put a pack and play. You will also find 2 mud rooms and a powder room. There is also a patio with a sectional and a bbq overlooking the lake and a front veranda with rocking chairs and soon a porch swing.
The lake area has a propane fire pit with 5 Adirondack chairs around it. The lake is swimmable and we have provided you with 2 paddle boards and a inflatable kayak to explore. You can also fish in the lake and there are a few small islands you can paddle too. Bring water shoes as entry into the lake is a bit rocky at first.

There is also a 18 foot heated above ground pool to swim in if that is more your style (seasonal).
Guest access
You will be given a code to the door before your arrival. You will have full private access to the entire house and property.
Other things to note
While you are a short drive to amenities they are not within walking distance and you will want a car. There is plenty of free parking on the property.
