Located on famous, oak-shaded Magazine Street in the Garden District, renowned for its unique shopping experience down several miles of boutique stores, bars and restaurants, you’ll find yourself on the doorstep of New Orleans’s finest hot spots. Boasting the best antique and thrift shopping in the city, the district also offers incredible jazz venues, delicious mom and pop eateries, and institutions like the home of "Interview with a Vampire" author Anne Rice. You are a short walk to the historic Lafayette cemetery and famed Commander’s Palace, a fine-dining creole restaurant that has become a New Orleans institution.
Getting Around:
The best way to get around is by foot, bike, Uber, or taxi. The French Quarter is a short taxi/Uber. The number 11 bus also runs every 20 minutes directly to the Quarter.

–The pool is open and heated from Labor Day through Memorial Day. If you are booking dates bordering these holidays and are interested in having the pool heated, please let us know and we will determine if this request can be accommodated with our winterizing schedule.

We were a group of 9 women celebrating my 50th birthday. The house was absolute perfection. An awesome location on Magazine, so much character in the decor, and just the perfect amount of space. It’s all on one level making it intimate and fun. Only super small thing is the pool is very very small with not much room to “lay by the pool” but we had rain so we didn’t use it anyway. Coffee shop practically next store. A small market in walking distance. The beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable too!

Beautiful, comfortable, perfect location
The house has been beautifully and luxuriously remodeled while preserving the historical charm. Kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable, pool and hot tub were clean. We loved being able to walk out the door and wander down Magazine. I also found the communal areas of the house to be more spacious and accommodating than expected. Would definitely recommend this rental!

The Magazine Oasis
Thank you for hosting us overall, our stay was enjoyable. However, several issues significantly impacted our experience, and I would appreciate your attention and a resolution.1. On Monday morning we were informed the dishwasher was unavailable. Unfortunately, we’d planned a private chef for a Tuesday dinner for our group, which we ultimately had to cancel due to no dishwasher access. 2. Unclean Pool and Ground Maintenance - When we used the pool and hot tub on our first evening, we encountered leaves, baby frogs in the pool, and roaches in the backyard at night. We used the area only once for about an hour and chose not to return due to these hygiene and safety concerns.3. Lack of Accessibility and Safety Rails - Being over 60 years old, we found it unsafe that there was no handrail to assist with entering or exiting the pool. This prevented us from using the pool again.4. Overall Cleanness and Dust - The dusty, stale smell throughout the house triggered my allergies, causing recurring congestion and discomfort. Even though the house appeared clean, the air quality was problematic for meAlso, following up on the photo I sent, I'm fairly certain I left my comet behind in the bathroom. Could you please confirm if it's been found? If so, I can arrange for pickup or if it's not available, please let me know so we can discuss a refund.Thank you for your time and attention.
