Such a cute little place to stay! Much better than a hotel room, as long as you like being of the beaten path! So quiet…. We even saw a fo!! Would definitely recommend staying here and will be back.

Great little cabin!

We had a wonderful stay at Mockingbird Inn while in town for a wedding. The cabin was clean and fully stocked. It felt very private and we enjoyed sitting on the porch in the mornings. 10/10 would recommend!

Great weekend getaway spot. Not far at all from Main Street but far enough to get in some stargazing on a clear night! Cozy, clean, and convenient.

This was our second year staying in this lovely cabin. Clean, spacious and close to all the nice spots Wimberley has to offer, also did I mention fresh farm eggs? You read that right, non only will you sleep well, you’ll be fed too!

Quaint and cozy

Second trip to Wimberley and found this cozy, updated home perfect for our stay. It is on a quiet road and had all the comforts of home. The host thought of everything to make us feel welcome. I will be recommending this home to others I know that visit the area.

Thank you so much for the amazing experience. The cabin is beautiful and so close to all the places we wanted to see. From Wimberley to Fredericksburg it was an easy drive. The cabin had everything we needed. We will be back!

Weekend getaway in wimberly

The property was great and the owner provided eggs which are hard to come by these days. Owner responded quickly to questions we had and left great instructions. The farm fresh eggs were an awesome idea from them as an investor. The place was clean and provided everything for us. We would stay here again.

A great time was had by both.

We found the property to be perfect for our needs. For two people, it was fine; for more than two...you better be good friends. It was close to the places we needed to visit. Listening to birds and learning about new plants was an unexpected extra. Locating the house was actually easy...not something I can say about some of the Wimberley rentals that we have used in the past. Actually, I hope that no one reads this because I want to stay there again next year!

Perfect for two

This is our second time vacationing in the Wimberly, and quite frankly, this beautiful little house is going to be our go to place for hopefully many years to come! On top of being fully furnished, its close to everything in the area and with the awesome added bonus of... Free fresh eggs!!!! Especially for a city dweller like myself, this was an extremely amazing detail!! Its definitely a must go to place if you want to visit Wimberly!

Cute Stone Cottage

Small, but enough for 2-3 people to stay in comfortably. Unfortunately, there were some unwelcome insect guests: scorpion, spiders, and ants, but it is in a wooded area so that is common in Texas. It isn't as isolated as the pictures suggest, but still quiet. Close enough to Wimberly to see the sites, but out far enough to get away from the business of town. Overall, we were satisfied with our 5 night stay.

Sister’s weekend

Really enjoyed my weekend away with my Sister. The house was super clean with all the amenities needed. Beautifully updated, bed was comfy also! Plenty of storage for clothes and the Wardrobe was nice to have for hanging up clothes. Having the fresh eggs in the refrigerator was a nice treat. Check in was super easy as well and communicate was excellent with owner. I only gave 4 for location with it being on a gravel road away from the city. I wouldn’t have felt that way if I were with my husband. I’m sure it is very safe and they do have outdoor security lights. The country atmosphere was nice though and it was less than 10 min to the town square/shopping area. The only one small request would be to add an extra mirror on the wall or a makeup mirror. I love the little house and is perfect for a small family! Lots of room for kids to play outside. Perfect Sister Weekend Trip!

Great stay in Wimberley

This was a great location for us and our dog. We were able to spend the evenings on the front porch with the dog watching the pasture across the way (goats and horses). During the day we visited multiple parks in Wimberly, did some shopping, and ate great food. Loved the fresh eggs in the fridge. The bed was very comfortable and the TV setup worked great. For those coming with pets - This is an open property, no fence. We kept our dog on a leash. We brought a tie out, but the trees were too close to the road for our comfort. We found that everyone we came across at the parks or elsewhere in Wimberly was good about leashing their pets and many restaurants have outdoor dog friendly seating. Don't forget to bring shampoo, conditioner, and any cooking spices or oils you need if you plan to cook.

Wonderful! Kasey has the perfect little cabin for a quick getaway. She is quick to respond to any questions. Super clean and very relaxing. Definitely recommend and will return. Farm fresh eggs were a bonus!

I enjoy sharing my cabin with guest and helping them to find the little hidden jems that make Wimberley so unique and cool place to visit and even better place to live! I am actively involved in the community and serve as member on the Wimberley Water Supply corporation. Water treatment, water conservation and management is my passion and life’s work.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

The Mockingbird Inn is a unique little cabin that was originally built as a ranch Forman's cabin in the 1940’s. My grandparents bought the cabin in 1985 and used it as a guest quarters for family that would come to visit for the holidays or market day weekends. I purchased the cabin from my grandmother in 2018, and I decided to renovate the property and share it with the people (guest) who travel to Wimberley for a visit.

The cabin was originally built in 1940 as a ranch Forman's cabin for the ranch that makes up the Flite acres and Little Ranches Road.
