Just discounted nightly rate for May/June 2025 bookings!! Smokey Valley Lodge.... A beautiful timber frame home that is just what you're looking for in a vacation getaway! This property is just a short drive to downtown Ellicottville or Holiday Valley. From the porch you can see breathtaking views of the gorgeous neighboring valleys and surrounding countryside. In the mornings, notice the "smoke" rising in the valley giving the property its name. This rental could be utilized as a great getaway for any of the 4 seasons! Inside you will find a full kitchen stocked with pots/pans, dinnerware, single cup "Keurig", auto-drip coffeemaker, two crockpots and pantry items. There are 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Bedroom 1 is located on the lower level (must take a few steps down from the main level) offering 1 Queen bed with an attached full bath and bedroom television with basic Direct TV. A sleeper sofa is located in the upper living room. Loft bedroom 2 is on the Second Floor offering 1 Double & 1 set of Twin bunkbeds. For additional sleeping you will find a full size futon located outside of bedroom 2 on the second floor. Two large living rooms to gather with family and friends. Enjoy sitting by the wood burning fireplace or taking a dip in the hot tub after a day on the slopes. There is also a large yard and a stocked pond on the property for all to enjoy! And if it couldn't get any better, this home is also pet friendly! (Dogs allowed. No cats please.) Basic Direct TV package and 150gb wireless mifi hotspot. **No Smoking**

Water is supplied by a well. Please note that there is a high iron content in this area. We have a filter so the water is safe to drink and use, however it does have a sulfur smell. We have a Primo water cooler on property to provide you with hot/cold purified water.

Please let us know when booking if you plan to bring your pet You need to make sure you monitor your pet at all times. Please make sure your dog stays on our property and does not run into the neighbors' yards.

Perfect Country Getaway

Our second time staying at this property was just as lovely as our first. Extremely clean and well appointed with all your basics. The fireplace was amazing on the chilly nights and the hot tub was wonderful. My children loved exploring the pond area every day!

Very nice timber frame out in the country. Short drive to Ellecottville and skiing. Had a great stay with family. Owners very responsive and pleasing to work with.

Incredible holiday stay

We will be back again and again. Jody was wonderful to work with and super responsive. They thought of everything. The kids wanted to move in and stay forever. The huge Christmas tree was my highlight, my husband loved the gorgeous fireplace and abundance of fire wood. The only slight negative that I could find is that it does get pretty muddy if it rains when you stay so just be sure to have some rain/snow boots for getting things from the car. 10 out of 10 no doubt.

Weekend getaway with friends

Overall most of our needs were met as a group. Sleeping spaces for enough people to sleep at least 6 comfortably & then some extra pullout/futon couches available. However a few issues we came across were - the cleanliness upon arrival specifically the presence of dead or live flies at almost every window. Upstairs bedroom the flies were making noise all night at least the first night of our stay. - the water must be well water because it smelled like sulfur every time someone ran the sink or when anyone showered & they did have some water jugs there for us but we would have brought more had we known - there was leftover food and drinks in the refrigerator from past renters - the struggle with the wifi set up - we were disappointed by the fire place in side not working. On the plus side: -easy check in/out situation -good parking -spacious yard & pretty spacious inside the house -overall pretty house -helpful & accommodating host - the hot tub worked well & was a nice thing to have as well as the pond & outside fire pit -pretty view off front porch for sunsets -decent location not too far from the town of ellicotville (7-8min) drive on a busy weekend -also right down the street from pumpkinville

Relaxing and comfortable

8 women. Late summer 2 night getaway. It had everything we needed. Fire pit, hot tub, stocked kitchen, reasonable privacy. Plenty of wood and towels. It was more spacious than i imagined. We could spread out and come together.

Cool summer getaway

What a great house to gather with friends. We escaped the Virginia heat and humidity for the cool, crisp mountains of NY. The house was spacious, with room for everyone to find their own space when needed. We all loved the pond (even caught a couple little bass and threw back). Only irregularity was on the description it says the master and bathroom are on the main floor when they are both down 5 steps. Just an inconvenience and not a reason for us not to recommend to others. We had friends in a nearby town and it was a great location to explore the region on days we weren't enjoying the natural beauty of the house and property. This is a perfect house and property for nature lovers during all seasons.

Peaceful location

We commented several times during our stay how nice and quiet the location was. The home is just a couple minute drive to downtown Ellicottville for a meal or for a walk. We would stay here again if back in the area.

Amazing location with a Cozy house

Beautiful location, about an hour or so from Niagara Falls, with a nice pond stocked with fish (kids spend most of their time around the property either camping or fishing). House could accommodate all of us (5 adults and 4 children). We were during the heatwave and our Stay was pleasant and we enjoyed it. Highlight is the greenery and the grounds and the local ski town… highly recommended.

From the communication, to the check-in, and clear to check-out was a great experience. Very open floor plan with plenty of room. The hot tub was a definite plus and used very often. Enjoyed the trip and will book again.

Wonderful eclipse stay!

Stayed here for the 2024 solar eclipse. The house is cozy and quaint. We really enjoyed the fireplace and of course the hot tub! We also enjoyed fishing in the pond on the property.

Beautiful views, great location

This home was simply beautiful inside and in its surroundings. Beautiful views of the hills and valley and a convenient location close to town, but still quite private. Dog friendly was a huge plus and my family had a wonderful stay.

Amazing stay in the mountains!

We had an amazing stay at Jody’s place! My husband and I were celebrating our 60th birthdays with all of our kids and the entire time was amazing! They even left flowers and wine for us- it was so sweet! It was the perfect location and only a 5 minute drive from the town. But we loved staying at the house just as much and cozying up by the fireplace and taking a dip in the hot tub! The entire inside was super cozy and cute. Jody was a great host and easy to communicate with! Even pet friendly! Highly recommend!

Great location - so much charm!

We loved our stay! The cottage was conveniently located 5 minutes from downtown and holiday valley. The cottage itself is really charming with LOTS of space. We had a group of 6 adults and easily could have accommodated another couple if not more. Communication with Jody was a breeze and everything was great. Absolutely recommend!

Great memories

Jody’s place was amazingly spacious for our group of 4 adults and 2 children (3 and 6) and a little Coco. We brought our snowshoes, cross country skis and a sled to enjoy a small hill on the property. The hot tub scored very high! We used it day and night. We brought our own beach towels to use after jacuzzi. All house towels need to be updated - small, thin and old. Beautiful fireplace and plenty of starter and wood kept us warm and cozy. Jody pre-heated the whole house for our arrival and we felt like a family walking in! Mattresses were a little on a firm side for us. We definitely made a lot of great memories! Jody was kind to let us check out late as we struggled to pack and gather ourselves - it gave us time to have another lunch so kids will be content on our ride back (2hrs).

Great stay in EVL

We used to live in Ellicottville and are Bonaventure alums. We visited from Boston with our children for the long weekend. The house is spacious and cozy- great cabin feel with fabulous wood burning fireplace. Jody was great with her communications and checking in with us during a major snow storm! Our kids loved the hot tub and exploring the pond in the backyard. The upstairs shower felt like you were in nature. We had a great stay!

My husband and I fell in love the first time we saw this property. We decided to purchase it as a family getaway and wanted to share it with others. The wood smell as you walk in the door relaxes you. We enjoy sitting by the fire and the peacefulness of the property and hope you enjoy it to.
