N. Charleston Brewery Hop

This was a gorgeous little house, beautifully decorated and well stocked. While on appearance, some might not like the neighborhood, we have lived in historic districts and felt right at home. The neighborhood was very quiet.We were down for my son's 21st birthday and had a very successful evening brewery hopping...there were many within just a couple miles. In the morning, we drove into Charleston itself and that too was a quick and easy commute.Highly recommend this lovely house as an affordable option in a pretty pricey destination. Owner was very friendly and helpful as well.

Amazing house and amazing host

Very cute home was well set up for us to feel like we were at home. I can not say enough about the host sally she responds very quickly. We happen to leave stuff there and she was willing to ship the items back to us. What a honest person. Will definitely stay there again.

Perfect Stay!

4 adult males needed a place to stay close to a convention. House was perfect and well suited for 4 people. House was clean, close to where we needed to stay, convenient to main roads. Check in and check out process was a breeze. Highly recommend!

Charming home, small and cozy

If I could only speak to one thing about this home it would be the beds. Honestly it was some of the best sleep I've had in a while, incredibly comfortable and clean... Luckily i can speak to more than just one thing: the home was comfortable for our movie night, the kitchen was a comfortable size (we wish we could've used it more), and the amenities (coffee/tea, tv/netflix/etc., washer and dryer) -- they were all convenient and useful. Thank you for this lovely stay, we wish we could've spent more time here.

Convenient and Corfortable

The house is clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The neighborhood was a bit sketchy. It did work out great for us. Felt a bit unsafe when we were getting home late. Really did not see the neighbors but the "Beware of Dog" signs were a bit alarming.

PERFECT!!!

The Dundee Escape was perfect. So thoughtful and cozy. Everything was taken care of from the bed frames with outlets for easy charging, to the soap dispensers in the shower, to the cabinets filled with spices! It was super cozy. The beds were great. Such an easy check in process and Sally was amazing to communicate with. 10/10 recommend, we had a great stay!! It was a 10 minute drive from downtown and you’re really close to the highway so it was easy to get everywhere! About 30 minutes from Folly Beach and 20 minutes from Mount Pleasant! Oh! And 10 minutes from the airport. The convenience was unmatched!

Had to find a hotel instead

Unfortunately, my family and I never stayed overnight in the home as planned. First, we did not receive the correct check in information until an hour after check in time. As we neared the neighborhood, we noted people on the main roads in the medians approaching cars I assume either asking for money or offering services. A short walk from there, we enter the drive way, as we passed multiple dilapidated homes, including but not limited to the home surrounding this home in particular. Upon entering the home, it was quickly noted it was warmer and not at a comfortable temp and that window AC units and fans were being utilized to attempt to cool the home. Upon exploring the home more, as you enter the bedroom portions of the home, there is an immediately noticeable strong smell of cigarette smoke that seems to moreso be an odor of the home, seeped into the walls and floors over years versus the smell of someone who just freshly smoked next to you if that makes sense. This is a distinct smell and not to be confused with other things such as cooking smells, though it was more noted away from the kitchen anyway. Overall, the home is very small including very limited room in each of the bedrooms, the multiple window AC units and strong cigarette smoke small leave then even more safety concerns than what was already built in our minds from the quick drive into the home when surveying the neighborhood.
