Cozy Cottage on Spring---Centrally Located and 10 mins from downtown Louisville

Welcome to the Spring St. Cottage! Our 100yr old newly remodeled home is located in the heart of New Albany. Beautifully decorated living space with spacious rooms, comfortable furnishings, and great amenities. We have a fully fenced backyard ideal for those traveling with little ones and pets. A perfect choice for couples, families, and groups. We are just minutes from downtown New Albany, 10 minutes from the YUM center in downtown Louisville, and only 10 miles from Churchill Downs.

We want your stay to be enjoyable, welcoming, and relaxing. Our home features a beautiful entry way upon your arrival with live plants, deep colors, and a creative style. The main level features the primary bedroom with darling little sitting area, living room, fully stocked kitchen, dining room that can seat up to 10 (please ask for table leaf if needed), and a full bathroom with washer/dryer (laundry soap available).

The second level boasts 3 bedrooms, and a full bathroom with standup shower. Each bathroom has shampoo/conditioner/body wash available as well as a blowdryer.
Please note that the 3rd bedroom upstairs is a walk-through for the 4th bedroom/kids room, perfect for parents of young children. We also have a pack'n'play available with sheets for your littles, just ask! A portable high chair is ready for you as well, located to the right of the fridge.

Enjoy a cup of coffee in our sweet little sunroom right off the kitchen, or run around in the fully fenced backyard beneath the trees. Enjoy the benefits of our outdoor propane fire pit. We have multiple board games to choose from located in the kitchen cabinet under the wine glasses, along with a few different genres of books to read for your enjoyment.

Street parking is available as well as multiple parking spaces behind the home with alley access.

PET POLICY:
We love welcoming your pets for a small fee, but are only allowing non-shedding dogs under 30lbs. Please be courteous by picking up after your pet. If your pet enjoys sitting or sleeping on furniture, please bring a sheet or blanket to put down. Thank you!

We stay at the Cozy Cottage every Christmas while visiting family. It has everything you need and enough space for 8 of us to not feel like we are in each other’s way.

We had a great stay over Thanksgiving. We had a few questions before we arrived and Molly was quick to respond. She also checked in with us before we left. It’s an older home with updated bathrooms and kitchen- it was cold while we were there but the heat worked well. My husband and I stayed in the king bed that is the pass through to one of the queen rooms and the bed was firm but for me was very comfortable. The futon is on the back porch, we didn’t go out there as it was too cold during our stay. There were so many thoughtful details- like the amount of amenities to make it feel like home, kids books and a few toys in one of the rooms, and a mini “take a book, leave a book” library. The location was great, with lots of restaurants within 5 minutes and a short drive to all the Louisville attractions. Overall it was a great place for our group of 4 adults and 3 kids!

Such an enjoyable and welcoming place! Molly was great! She had hand written notes and goodies for us when we arrived! The place had everything we could need. It was very clean and we loved all the plants! It was a very comfortable stay! The kids loved having some toys and games to play. I appreciated that Molly let us know the house was ready for us earlier than then our check in time! I also liked that the check in was 3:00 and check out 11:00. Compared to other places we’ve stayed, this time frame was much better for us! We weren’t rushed.

Great location to head to Louisville. Check-in process was easy, beds were comfortable, house was clean and the back yard area was great. I would stay here again and recommend you to stay here as well. Great property, great stay!

Host was very accommodating! Molly also left baskets of snacks and frequently forgotten travel items, very thoughtful! The house was very clean. We loved the decor and plants. The pillows and beds were top notch for a good night sleep! We went to an event at the YUM Center and it was very easy to get there and back. I would recommend this house for a great stay!

great location

A perfect location for an event weekend that straddled Louisville and Indiana. We also enjoyed walking the neighborhood. A heads up that there is a bit of street noise at night (as could be expected). We preferred parking in the back, which also offers easy access to the property. Thoughtful additional amenities in the kitchen and bathrooms.

New Albany Gem

This house was clean and located 15 minutes from downtown Louisville and 15 minutes from Churchill Downs. Host is extremely responsive and helpful. Place is clean and the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. It also has a small children's room upstairs should you need this. We had a very enjoyable stay at this property. I recommend!

Derby Dinner Playhouse Trip

We loved our stay at the Spring Street cottage. The location was perfect. We got to visit nearby Kolkin coffee. The decor was quaint, peaceful, and relaxing. There was plenty of room for our family of 3 couples. We look forward to our next trip to the area because we will definitely book with Molly again. She was an excellent host and thought of extra personal touches to make you feel welcomed. Make sure to visit a show at the Derby Dinner Playhouse.

Weekend getaway

A quaint home with easy access to highways and located just 5 minutes outside of Louisville. We were in town for a volleyball tournament and the house was perfect for us. Check-in, check-out was a breeze and the little touches inside the house made the stay even better. Would definitely recommend and we will try and stay here again if we're back in town next year.

Close to Louisville and great dining

The host was super helpful and communicated well. House was cute and well decorated. The host provided snacks and toiletries if you forgot something. That was a really nice touch. It rained the entire time we were there, but there was a lot to do nearby, arcade, shopping, Louisville Slugger Museum, great restaurants. Room for three cars to park in the alley. There is street parking, but the traffic was moving fast and we didn’t feel it was the safest for our cars. The couch that was described as a fold out was a futon on the porch.

We had a wonderful family adventure here! The house was clean and well suited for our needs with small children. From a fully fenced back yard to run in, to toys and books to play with. There was even a tray full of things we may have forgotten, which saved us from having to pile 4 kids back into the car to go get toothpaste. We would definitely stay here again!

Another Wonderful Stay!

This was our second weekend at Molly's house and it was just as perfect as the first time. Walked in to the house smelling great, making it so welcoming. Everything just as described and even had some necessities available in case we forgot to bring something. This house is wonderful if you are staying in the area. Molly is an excellent host!

Amazing!

Molly's house is exactly what you see in the pictures! So cozy, comfortable, and beautiful! The beds are extremely comfortable. Decor is amazing to make your feel like home. Molly left us an awesome note welcoming us to her house which was a great personal touch. Place was so nice, we will actually be staying next weekend as well!

Molly has a super sweet place with lots of little thoughtful touches (snacks, bathroom necessities, etc). It is decorated so cute and is a comfortable house. So very convenient to Louisville and surrounding areas. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

We are Jon and Molly and are originally from WA state. We moved to this area in August of 2020 for school. We are thrilled to host this incredible space. Our goal is to have a space that is fun, comfortable, and relaxing.

We LOVE our neighborhood. We are so close to everything. Being just 10 minutes from downtown Louisville and minutes from downtown New Albany allows for a lot of diversity in restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.

My goal in creating this space was comfortability, and peacefulness. By having extras for all our guests as well as comfortable beds, linens, and towels, our guests feel welcome and taken care of. I want our hospitality to be unmatched.
