Dangerous, dirty and in need of refurbishment
This villa is not as described or as it looks in the photographs. When we arrived the place had not been properly cleaned. The cooker was dirty, the fridge was dirty and the barbeque was covered in rust and needed replaced. The whole place needs refurbished. I would not advise anyone travelling with children to stay here. The deck is extremely dangerous and unusable. Some of the boards have rotten right through and it is not fenced so there is nothing to stop someone falling into the water. Further, rather than replace the old shower trays in the bathrooms the owner has placed wooden slats over the base of the old shower trays which become slippery when wet. The slats in the main shower moved when you stood on them which is an accident waiting to happen, particularly as there are no hand rails. On the morning we were leaving one of the slats in the main shower had twisted and was sticking up at an angle so it was not possible to use the shower. We had several days where there was no hot water. Given the dirty state of the property and the cooking facilities we did not feel comfortable trying to cook anything in the villa so we had to eat out. Had we been able to find alternative accommodation we would have moved out but there was nothing available.The owner is well aware of the issues with the property. His agents told me they had got a quote to fix the decking and other issues but the owner decided not to bother having the work done.
