Una nueva apariencia fresca para la temporada de verano de 2018, así que prepárate para vivir una vida de recuerdos en Ocean Dunes, ubicado en el extremo sur de Kure Beach. Este es realmente el lugar de vacaciones durante todo el año perfecto para las familias, y nuestro destino de vacaciones más popular.

Este 2 dormitorios, condominio frente al mar es perfecto para una familia de 6. El dormitorio da a la calle cuenta con dos camas individuales y el dormitorio principal está frente al mar con una cama de matrimonio. La sala de estar de cara al mar, con excelentes vistas al océano Atlántico. Nivel superior.


Cada miembro de su grupo será encontrar algo para sentirse satisfechos en este complejo familiar. Elija entre una amplia gama de actividades tales como: piscina exterior e interior, jacuzzi, gimnasio, pistas de tenis, canchas de tejo y sauna. También hay walkovers privados que llevan directamente a la playa. Ya sea tomando el sol en la playa, descansando en la terraza frente al mar o llevar a la familia al acuario cercano, que está seguro de disfrutar de su estancia en el Ocean Dunes en la pintoresca Costa de Carolina.

The condo could have been cleaner. The AC vent was very dusty for one thing. The setup of the condo was very good. Some of the furniture and accessories were a bit antiquated (light over dining room table! What was that?). The closeness to the ocean and the outside deck was amazing. That kind of washed out the bad stuff!All in all, was a great stay! Would stay again and recommend to family and friends.

Great for a long weekend

This conde was perfect for me, my husband, and our two kids-4 & 2 years old. Right on the beach and the boardwalk is adjacent to the building! Easy parking right under the building and everything we needed in the kitchen. It was nice to have a full kitchen and washer/dryer in the unit. The unit is a bit dated, but more quirky than problematic. For example the bed in the primary bedroom is really squeaky and the blender was from the 70s, but we made all of that work just fine. We enjoyed the outdoor pools and the indoor pool was a nice feature! We would definitely return.

It was a perfect week at the beach. The condo was clean with everything we needed to be comfortable. Right on the beach, we were able to sit outside and watch the waves roll in morning to night if we wanted to.

We love staying at Ocean dunes. We were disappointed that the hot tub and indoor pool were closed, but are excited about the remodeling. We were thankful that one of the outdoor pools was open

Like a Cruise

Everything was wonderful, especially looking through the windows during high tide and seeing just ocean. It was like being on a cruise ship although without the rocking. Fantastic view of stars at night as well. Great location.

Comfortable, great location on top of the beach with easy access. Great basic beach stay. Kitchen could be better organized (hard to get to dishes, pots, etc.) as it's a bit haphazard. Clean place, though musty when we arrived. Good communication and easy check in/check out.

Vacation 2024

Had a wonderful time! Had a beautiful ocean front view. Got to watch the sunrise right from the balcony and what a beautiful site to see! The pictures looked a little different from the actual rental. The air filter in the A/C hadn’t been changed in SEVERAL months. We changed ourselves and vacuumed out the air return. Other than that It was a nice place to stay. I would definitely go back and stay again!

It is a great location if you are looking for a quieter beach experience with a family, but still close enough to activities at Carolina Beach. Condo was in great shape and right on the beach with incredible views especially at sunset and sunrise.

The location was beautiful!! Uncrowded beach, it was clean and the property and beach area were well maintain. The unit was very cute and comfortable with all the amenities. I especially appreciated having the washer and dry onsite.Negative:bathroom rugs and shower liner were disgusting. Shower liner was mildewed. I washed them both and the rugs came out clean, and most of the mildew came out of the shower but it needs to be replaced. These should be items that are addressed between occupancies. Some dishes and silverware were dirty and had to be rewashed before use. All could be resolved by observance and a little extra care from the cleaning crew.Pillows in main bedroom did not have sanitary pillow covers under the pillow cases. I felt that was really gross. The pillow cases didn't cover the entire pillow and kept sliding off. I'm a germaphobe and didn't appreciate this lapse.Beach furniture was old, falling apart and uncomfortable. Beach furniture should not be listed as an option if this is what is offered. I would have been glad to bring my own if I had known. I had to go buy a chair at pricey beach cost to enjoy my time on the beach.

Lovely condo right on the beach

Property is accurately described in the listings. Condo is actually on the beach and you can access it quickly. Older place, but charming and clean. All appliances worked. Only thing I didn't like was the check in process, you have to go to another location to pick up and drop off keys. That was a hassle. Having a physical key on a rental these days is outdated, a keypad is greatly preferable especially at the beach where you aren't wanting to keep track of keys. Aside from that though we had a great time and will be back. Property is easily accessible and close to places to eat and shop. There is a fitness center across the street and the aquarium is close. We really enjoyed our stay.

The unit was very clean when we arrived. It had plenty of space for our family of 4. It was just what we wanted for our beach vacation. The only negative is the unit could use a bit of updating. There were dents in the walls from doors and older kitchen and bathroom fixtures. None of this bothered us though. We were there for the beach!

Perfect Family Vacation Place

This VRBO was perfect for our family vacation. Right on the ocean and in a quiet family area. Loved the size of the balcony! The unit was clean and spacious and felt like home for the week we stayed. Check in and check out were both quick and easy! Only down side, we would have liked updated pictures of the balcony... We picked this place for the size of it so our 2 year old could roam around out there. Unfortunately the deck boards were very old and weathered and some rusted nails were just breaking off and we couldn’t let him roam around out there. We did get a couple splinters in our feet, but we just made sure to wear sandals out there. The pools and playground were also a bonus when booking for our little guy! Nice to have those extras when you have a 2 year old!

It was just OK

The location of the condo was the only positive of the stay. The condo itself was not kept well. There was rotting wood on the steps, doors didn’t lock well, repairs done prior were done really poorly, almost every chair inside and out was wobbly. It just felt like even though it hasn’t been updated that it should have at least been up to date on repairs And they should’ve been done well. And everything should be working at top notch. I won’t be staying here again. And it honestly makes me wonder about the rental company And their other properties. Are they all just good pictures done well online and not great in person? I won’t be finding out.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location is phenomenal, right on beach, however I would not stay at this property again. There were stains on headboard, cockroaches in the house, rust in kitchen sink, patio door lock broken. Needs to update furniture and requires more cleaning. My kids were scared to walk on floor with roaches moving around. Pest control needs to be done.

Had a problem with the exterminators busting in unexpected while my daughter was alone in the condo, and we were on the beach. She was very upset and scared. Honestly, this should be done in between rentals. It was an invasion of privacy, plus, no one likes being exposed to fresh bug spray. We are there for fresh beach air. We come yearly to Kure, but we will not be back to Ocean Dunes due to this invasion.

The unit itself could use some TLC, with some updates and a deep cleaning this unit could be really nice. The sliding glass door in the master is damaged which blocks views of the ocean (kind of defeats the purpose). One of the lampshades in the master has mold on it. The bed in the master has tall posts which block the tv if you’re on the left side of the bed. The full size sleeper sofa wouldn’t open, called maintenance, no reply!

amazing location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We absolutely loved staying at the Gardner @ Ocean Dunes in Kure Beach. The location is great, the views were magnificent, boardwalk access next to unit. Beach was empty, and we set up right in front of unit every day, all beach gear was safe to leave for hours, and visible from deck. Unit was quiet, we didn't really hear the neighbors. Parking is coverered, includes a hose to rinse sand off. We felt very safe leaving our beach items in the 'car port' along with the top off the Jeep for our entire stay. The rental was very clean, had everything we needed in the kitchen, most items were new, bathrooms are roomy with nice counter space. Livingroom was roomy with 2 side chairs, an oversized chair that converts to a twin sleeper and a very comfy sofa sleeper. We used an extra set of sheets and covered them to add a little more protection from a toddler. Deck is large (we did get some splinters from it though), and accessible from livingroom & master. There wasn't a screendoor for the master, so listening to the ocean while sleeping wasn't possible. The livingroom screendoor was broken and maintenance was quick to try and repair it, unfortunately it needed replacing, hopefully future guests will have new screendoors. Other than the screendoors, the only negative was the washer/dryer, very old and due to age, didn't clean clothes or towels very well. Used one pool and it was very clean. We would have liked to do a morning workout in the fitness room, but it doesn't open until 9am. We did not have time to use the indoor pool or hot tub. WE LOVED OUR STAY AND WILL BE BACK NEXT YEAR!!!

Disappointing stay at a beautiful beach

Let’s start with the pros. Beach is gorgeous. Town is cute. Close to a very nice aquarium. Cons. Showed up on day one to find a used diaper under one of the beds. It’s hard to relax and enjoy a home once you start off like that. Contacted the rental company, Bryant Real Estate. They told me they’d use this as a training moment for their staff. After spending almost $3k for a vacation, I don’t want to be someone’s training moment. The condo is old. There was rust in the air vents, broken furniture left on the deck and in the parking area, the teflon pans are scratched and unusable. Some of the kitchen supplies are ancient and not clean. We had to wash everything prior to use. The decor is dated and broken on the walls. The headboards in the spare bedroom are pieces of wooden lattice with cloth wrapped around them. Very strange. The headboard in the master was stained. It’s clear to me that the owners are depending on Bryant Real Estate to maintain their investment and that Bryant Real Estate could care less. I doubt the owners have been there recently and it shows. Another issue with the rental company- We booked this rental in March for a July stay. I signed a rental contract. We had a conflict arise, as they sometimes do. I was encouraged to see that the condo had 3 different weeks available that would work better for us. The rental company refused to switch us to another open week due to me signing the contract. It was their contract. They could have made an amendment if we both agreed on it. But instead they refused and wouldn’t even return calls. My husband left 2 messages for the property manager, Morgan. She did not have the decency to return his call. Instead, she emailed me and told me they would not change our dates. We had to leave 2 days early despite paying for the full week. We weren’t asking for our money back. In fact, I was fine with paying a new processing fee. We were just asking to switch to any of the other open weeks. It could have been a simple fix. Be aware if renting this condo, Bryant Real Estate has little interest in customer service. I would never rent another property managed by Bryant Real Estate again.

Great Location

Reviewer Comments: We were pleasantly surprised by the peaceful energy around this part of Kure Beach, due doubtless to the presence of the nearby State Park. The complex is only two stories so there is little disturbance from other guests. This unit is on the second story so there are quite a few steps to climb... good exercise! The unit was compact but well designed so the living area and the main bedroom had sea views, the oceanside porch is partitioned from the neighbors so there is good privacy. The property was clean but furnishings are dated some of the electric outlets in the bedroom sparked. However, everything in the kitchen cabinets and drawers needs a good clean out of excess odds and ends and a deep cleaning of every item. There are many items that are not really needed yet there was little room for food. Some important every day items such as a toaster, salad servers, a new grater ... were missing. We were comfortable there, watching the storms at night and the proximity to Fort Fischer was fantastic. The property managers were very responsive and helpful.
