Great End Unit

Great views out to Ocean and towards pier (end unit window). We like to leave things as we found them. Only issue vacuum needed to be emptied. Broom worked just fine!!!

Surf’s Up - Don’t Recommend

Good location, right on the beach. The condo is not in good shape. Walls need washed and painted, furniture was dirty, mold in the showers and on vanity in the master bathroom. Garbage can needs replaced and vent covers need cleaned/replaced. The property management company did send someone to clean after I called about the condition of the property. It is the end of season is not an excuse for a property not being clean. The rental rate is the same and I expect a clean place to stay with my family. I have rented several different units at Ocean Dunes and I would not rent this unit again.

Had a great stay! Just an old property that needs some attention.

Everything was just as stated. Only a few minor suggested improvements. The bed needs to be upgraded. Balcony door and windows need to be cleaned (I cleaned the patio door as best as I could). Some of the pots weren't very clean. The dish strainer was just plain gross. The kitchen waste basket needs to be replaced. Just little things.

Decent rental, needs better cleaning services

The location was great, nice ocean views, convenient to the pool area, and beach was not as crowded as when we stay in Carolina Beach. The condo was not cleaned well however. We have an 11 month old and within the first 10 minutes of being there her knees and tops of her feet were black from crawling on the floor. There was a load of laundry in the dryer. We had to push the twin beds together for our toddler to not roll out and when we moved the nightstand there were 15-20 wadded up tissues all behind it and the headboards. Other than the cleanliness it was a great size for our small family and you can’t beat the view!!

A little beach paradise on the Atlantic.

Everything was as expected and wonderful. It was as if we had lived there forever. We did have to wash the patio doors for a better view, no big deal. Seeing sunrise over the ocean from my bed was particularly magical. The area was low key and nice and quiet.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The one big regret? That for some reason ownership does not replace mattress in the master bedroom. After numerous reviews cited this same issue, no resolution. My wife and I took 2 blankets and beach towels to spread in the middle of the bed to help level the mattress - to no avail. We ended up in the 2nd bedroom on twin beds. I would recommend this unit 100% with 5 stars only AFTER confirmation that the mattress has been replaced.

Great location.

The mattress in the master bedroom is terrible and needs replaced and the sofa has no padding in the cushions. The sliding door either needs to be replaced or greased as it is very hard to open and close and the vents are rusted out and dangerous. The only way we would stay there again would be if all of the items were fixed.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great beach vacation and very much enjoyed our stay at Surf's up. I would certainly consider staying again. The location is perfect: oceanfront, close to beach access, and close to the pool. The property is updated and we were very comfortable there. My recommendations for the owners would be to replace the master bathroom mattress (it's horrible), and replace the vent covers on the floor which are super rusty (my kids fell on these a few times). I would also note the slider (to go on and off the deck) was extremely difficult to open/close and needs to be addressed. Overall, very happy with my stay!

The beach access is a very quick 2 minute walk from the condo, and the pool is right next to the condo. The aquarium and ferry are just down the road, and the beach was recently renourished. With two young children, you couldn't have picked a better spot! The condo was well stocked with basic kitchen needs, and the unit was overall pretty clean. The deck is a great size, with comfortable chairs to sit in and watch storms roll in off the ocean.But the bed in the primary bedroom needs to be replaced. The bed frame creaked loudly every single time you moved, and as others have stated, the mattress slopes to the middle. It was impossible for two people to sleep comfortably. My husband and I are not large people, but we ended up alternating who slept in the bed and who slept on the couch, which was less than ideal on vacation. I hate to take off stars just for one thing, but not being able to sleep well really did impact the overall quality of our stay. If the mattress was replaced I would have given it 5 stars.The folks at Bryant were friendly and very easy to work with. I'll rent properties from them again!

Amazing Location in Beautiful Kure Beach!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The condo is in a perfect location with amazing views of the sand and ocean. The living area is lovely and comfortably furnished. The kitchen has modern appliances and plenty of dishes and cookware. The bathrooms were very clean and updated. The only negative is that the master bedroom mattress is extremely uncomfortable. As other reviewers noted it somehow sloped to the middle on both sides. We both sunk into the middle and had to climb our way out. Not good for bad backs! Regardless we truly enjoyed the condo and the amazing view and location!

Stay at condo

Condo was decorated nicely, and furniture was comfortable. TV worked well and so did the internet. This Condo is really nice, just a few simple things need fixed. The walk to the beach was a little longer than we prefer, but not horrible. The pool is a nice way to cool off.

Great beach getaway!

Very nice condo that looked just like the pictures! Check in and out were pretty easy. The place was very clean and we didn't have any issues. The whole building could use a good pressure washing but that had no bearing on the unit itself. Would definitely stay here again!

Great views!

Wonderful stay at a quiet, peaceful beach. The condo had everything we needed to be comfortable. We enjoyed the deck with the waves almost at our door. The sound if the waves crashing all night was so relaxing. We would definitely choose this place again.

Great little getaway

Other than a minor hiccup of not having linens and towels at the time we arrived (and this was addressed very quickly by the rental agency), the stay was great. The property was clean. The ocean-front view was phenomenal. Beach access was easy. Location was convenient (just a few short minutes to Fort Fisher and the Aquarium). I would definitely look at returning to this site inthe future.

Nice location, awful cleaning job

The dish washer was filthy upon arrival. There's dried food all inside of it. The bed in the main bedroom was misrepresented. It is NOT a queen bed. The bed frame is an adjustable frame that can accommodate either a full size or queen size mattress depending on the slot used. The slot and mattress used is full size. The bed is also uncomfortable. The shower door in the main bedroom was covered in soap scum. The refrigerator was not clean. There was some sort of sticky substance that had to be wiped out. Pests are a huge issue. There were multiple spiders seen during our stay and one roach. The checkout instructions are not specific enough. If you’re going to threaten to charge people a $100 fee for not removing the trash you should probably give more specific instructions. Simply saying to take it out on Monday is not enough. You should give us a time. We had to literally chase down the trash man as we were late apparently late taking it to the street at 7:30am. Checkout isn’t until 10am. Upon arrival I was happy to see the recent renovations but the cleaning was done very poorly. We loved the location but unfortunately this would be our very last resort if we plan on returning to the area in the future.
