Este 3 dormitorios, 2 baños completos se ha actualizado recientemente dentro y por fuera !! Situado en el barrio Mandalay Shores, se ofrecen a los visitantes un lugar ideal para pasar las vacaciones.

Disfrutar de paseos por la playa, campos de golf, Channel Islands Harbor y Museo Marítimo, Marina Ventura, además de tiendas y restaurantes de mariscos. Tomar las bicicletas de paseo a la playa o visitar las tiendas en el puerto deportivo.

Las habitaciones cuentan con una gran suite principal con cama King, techos, Jack & Jill baño, y hermosas vistas dunas abovedados; un dormitorio de la reina preciosa duerme dos; y un tercer dormitorio con literas y juguetes para los niños. Con un colchón inflable de polizón, esta casa puede alojar cómodamente a un total de 8 personas.

Hay dos baños completos: uno en cada planta, una de tamaño completo lavadora / secadora, y un amplio garaje para 2 coches con un montón de aparcamiento en la calle.

Las actividades abundan! Tome una excursión en barco al Parque Nacional Channel Islands, donde hay especies únicas de plantas y animales, así como espectacular buceo y el esnórquel.

Nice neighborhood and comfortable accommodations. Barbecue grill and fire pit need a little attention, but overall a nice time.

Great location and host

Great location for our trip with a party of 4. The house had everything we needed, and Janna was easy to contact and take care of any needs. We took a fun little gondola ride at channel island harbor less than an 10 minute drive from the place, and would definitely recommend it. Ask for Mark at Gondola Paradiso! Dunes Hideaway was a great place to stay!

Comfortable home close to beach

Janna made the check in process very easy. The house is comfortable and the neighborhood is quite. There are bikes to use and the backyard is really inviting. We enjoyed our stay and it was perfect for our family.

Comfy spot in a great location

Came for a few days to visit family in the area and this was a great spot. Close to the beach and easy to get to. Comfortable bed. Good wifi for when we needed to get work done. Loved that we could park our rental car in the garage. Would return.

Great spot for a 5-6 pax staycation

The house is well-laid out and works well as a base for family dining, entertainment and sleeping. The beach is 100 meters away across a busy road, but it's a great sandy expanse and worth the short walk. Plenty of places to eat and shop within a 15-minute drive. There's not much going on in Oxnard, but the location is close to more scenic spots such as Ojai and Santa Barbara.

A perfect stay!

The Dunes Hideaway was the perfect home away from home! It has everything you’d need for your stay and Janna was readily available to answer any questions. It was a gloomy and rainy weekend during our stay, but that didn’t stop us from having a great time. my teenage kids enjoyed the bikes and being able to paint rocks, and the living room with the comfy couch was perfect for enjoying a lazy night in with the smell of the ocean air. The location is great! Overall, I would definitely come back next time we are in town visiting family.

Nice area and stay!

Nice property and super nice view out back. We were there for a family wedding and had a great time! The access to the back patio area is through one of the bedrooms....so not ideal but still really nice. And the beds in the one bedroom are small...but good. The beds were comfortable and the upstairs layout was great just not super big. Great convenient location by Ventura and Oxnard! Thanks!

Little piece of Heaven

We arrived to a warm and inviting home. While it was bigger than we expected as there were just two of us it had everything we needed for a relaxing and welcoming stay. Quiet neighborhood, and Close to the beach which is what we really wanted. Easy access and communication with owners. Highly recommend.

Summer Vacation

Loved the house and the location. The back yard was amazing. Couple of things that would have helped are more toilet paper and trash bags. My son fixed the screen door in the downstairs bedroom as the mesh was completely separated. He also fixed the outside water faucet that was leaking. We enjoyed the vacation and will be back.

Very comfortable, well equipped 3 full bedroom house, very close to beach

What a find. This was one of the most well equipped home rentals we have ever stayed in. Wanted for nothing (except a bit more lighting in the bedrooms). The two bunk bedroom had lots of toys and books, more games and movies upstairs on main floor. Totally sand back yard perfect for kids. Sand toys and beach chairs in garage. Beds comfortable, tv's (all three )worked well. Host was helpful and easy to communicate with. 2-3 blocks to a huge beach that was never busy or crowded. Safe to swim. A perfect place to take our three grandchildren for fall break.

Great family house near the beach

This home was perfectly suited for our family needs on our recent trip to Ventura for a weekend wedding. We had 4 adults (my husband and I, our daughter and son-in-law, and 2 young granddaughters). The home was very comfortable, and had all necessary amenities. My granddaughters LOVED the bunk beds, and that bedroom was nicely appointed with books, games, toys, and some stuffed animals that the girls loved sleeping with! The beds in the other two bedrooms were very comfortable! The owners had bikes and sand toys, so all the girls took a short trip to the beach to play in the sand in the morning before the evening wedding. But I’d really like to recommend our host and homeowner Janna - without going into the specific details, I’d like to mention how accommodating she was to our special circumstances. She was friendly, helpful and prompt to respond. I definitely would recommend this property to anyone looking for a home to rent in this area!

Stayed here a few days as part of a trip that included national parks, beach and a concert in LA. Great location for all of that. There were a few minor issues. The back yard is accessed through a downstairs bedroom. The Kitchen is up a flight of fairly steep stairs so if you want to cook/eat outside be forewarned. Some of the patio furniture is pretty rusty( I know-beach weather) and the solar string lights only stayed on a few minutes. No A/C and the fans provided are small desk fans. Although we only used the beach chairs and sunshade, there was an abundance of beach accessories and toys. The use of the garage was appreciated and the checkout instructions were very reasonable. I would have given this place 5 stars but for one overwhelming issue. This owner has notes reminding you of the house rules all over the place! Everywhere I turned I felt like I was being scolded like a small child for something I haven't even done. I've never seen anything like it!

Great central location to visit Channel Islands

We enjoyed our stay. Great central location to visit the Channel Islands as we cruised from both the Oxnard and Ventura harbor. We liked being close to the beach but for our kids we we drove to other beaches because the surf was strong. The house had plenty of options for sleeping and it was for sure the best bed/sheets I’ve ever had in a vacation home. The weather got cold so after the beach one day we all curled up on the big comfy couch and watched a movie. We had the best time.

The Dunes.

2 blocks from the beach! Plenty of room for us and the fur kids. It was a great base for us to do all our visiting from. We lived nearby for 20 years and it was just what we were looking for, looking forward to staying again.

We enjoyed our stay here. The only reason this is not a 5 star stay is two fold. We wished for a nicer view than sand dunes behind us. .. so know that first. And the kitchen was not well equipped for cooking in. Which is what we wanted to do. Other than that and a very high bed, don't look elsewhere... just be aware.

Comfy and homey beach house

Very nice. Clean. Kitchen fully stocked, except we couldn’t find a toaster. Bikes we’re an added plus! So fun for the kids to ride to the beach! The only downside was the stairs were too much for the grandparents. Would be helpful if we knew earlier how steep they were. Thanks!

A fantastic stay!!

The house is beautiful - cozy and comfortable. The neighborhood is quiet and just a short distance to everything you could need. We really enjoyed our stay. We really enjoyed watching the sunrise and sunset. We hope to be back soon!

The things we appreciated: Quiet neighborhood Comfortable beds Things we did not: Looked forward to s’mores but the propane cans were empty. The bathrooms smelled of mildew/urine (the rugs may need to be washed or replaced). The tv and the multiple remotes were not user friendly even while using the instructions. The pictures of this property show much better than reality.

Not What We Expected

We expected more for what we paid for our stay. The house needs to be remodeled, especially the kitchen. The kitchen cabinets next to the refrigerator were a mess as the content were just thrown in with no order. The counters were stained and peeling, the porcelain sink had multiple chips and the cabinet doors did not close (latch). The condition of the kitchen did not give us a good feeling that the place was highly maintained. There were six pages of house rules of which some should have been taken care of the cleaning crew (i.e., strip bed sheets and start washer. Never had to do this with other VRBO listings.). Taking care of the trash and recycling bins was also an issue as there was no labeling of them. Had to call Owner to figure which ones belonged to the place. If guests are responsible for some cleaning why the large cleaning fee? The images on VRBO were bright and inviting but, in reality, the place was dark and dreary. Location was convenient for a quiet relaxing vacation but would not stay there again.

Thank you for your review. I am so sorry that you felt that way. We know for a fact that our prices are very competitive for the amenities and location provide. Just walk across Harbor blvd and you will pay 25-50% more nightly...We have 2 pages of check out instructions- which is not too much to ask and most guests appreciate the thorough instructions.I don't think it is too much to ask to put out the trash and recycling weekly. Every year we put tons of time and money into updating our home. It is very disheartening to hear your hurtful comments. It is not dark and dreary if you open up the curtains; it is light and bright just like the photos that were updated last summer.It is a vacation home, so for its intended use we are happy with it as are most of our guests. Of course we would LOVE to work on the kitchen more, and that is in our plans. This past year we had ALL windows replaced, the entire floors redone with a beautiful flooring, purchased new TV's, a new sectional for the living room and updated the outdoor area as well. I own and operate up to 10 homes and it is standard to ask guests to strip the sheets, run the dishwasher and take out the trash. I only hope others will read your review and take it with a grain of salt, knowing it is just one unfortunate review out of many glowing reviews.

Our family love's Oxnard's beaches! I grew up here and love running on the beach in the mornings with our dogs. I absolutely LOVE providing memorable experiences for others to enjoy this beautiful Channel Islands area. This is our 2nd home and we cherish it; We are always adding special touches to the home and we come out to enjoy and vacation ourselves with family at least 2-3X a year!

Oxnard is an ideal location due to its close proximity to Los Angeles' attractions to the south and Santa Barbara's offerings to the north. There is something here for everyone! This is where I grew up, so it has a lot of family history and is very special to us as our 2nd home.

This home is unique, due to the location, and the privacy. WE back to an open space of Sand Dunes so there are no neighbors backing to our home...The Channel Islands offers uncrowded beaches galore! Visitors can dine at local fresh fish markets, explore antique stores, and shop at local farmers' markets. Santa Barbara is a scenic 25-mile drive north and Los Angeles is a 1-hour drive south.
