Pet Friendly Vacation Hideaway in Lake Placid Florida

Fantastic Lake views and amazing sunsets from the back yard. Only a few hundred feet by boat to Lake Henry, with easy access to Lake June; both great for fishing and water sports.
Completely updated home with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on a large lot with plenty of parking for your cars and trailers. The back yard is completely fenced and has a large, covered patio with a gas grille for cooking and relaxing; plus, a fully enclosed and private outdoor shower for quick clean up after your day on the lake. There is a Kayak available in the shed.
Only minutes to a quaint downtown with a craft brewery, a wine store, restaurants and shopping. House has a dock for your boat and a ride on for a wave runner. The public boat ramp at Bishop Park is less than 5 minutes away.
Master Bedroom has a Queen Bed and an ensuite with a walk-in shower and a washer and dryer.
Bedroom 2 features a Queen Bed and a ceiling fan and is adjacent to Bathroom 2.
Bedroom 3 has a Twin Bunk Bed and a ceiling fan and is also adjacent to the second Bathroom.
Main Living area features an open floor plan with a sectional couch and a large TV. There is also Wi-Fi and board games available.
The Kitchen is completely set up with everything you need and features a Coffee Bar and a Wine Fridge.
The area has a number of great restaurants including Jaxson's and Dock 633 both just minutes away. The area also has a number of Parks, Wineries, Dining, Shopping and of course the Sebring Racetrack is only about a 20-minute drive.
Easy access to a Publix, CVS, Walgreens, Gas and Fast Food.
Only a 1 1/2-to-2-hour drive to Orlando for the theme parks and airport.

Great place and location. The boat launch down the street has a park which was fantastic for an 18 month old. Perfect size for a weekend trip.

Lovely hideaway w/ canal access, in a peaceful neighborhood. Updated home w/ plenty of space. Nice, private backyard. Close to stores and restaurants, but not too close to be bothered by noise pollution. Woke up to wildlife starting their day. Went to sleep w/ quiet sunset nights. Just don't try sneaking to the bathroom in the middle of night, the floors will tell on you.Owners are prepared to sell, so may not be there much longer. Worth experiencing!!

Beautiful Lake House

It was the perfect house to get away for a few days. The house was clean, nicely decorated and it had absolutely everything you needed to feel right at home (ice maker was a plus). The Kayak was used by my kids every day! Thank you for your hospitality.

Cozy cottage feel

Cute little home . Was nice to have some K-cups and creamer stocked for a morning coffee. We did need to use the stove and did not have aluminum foil available which made the bacon messy to make and clean up. The only other issue was the hot water not being very hot for showers and running out quickly for a party of 5. Overall a decent place to stay (we were just there 2 nights for a family wedding).

Great Place by the lake

We had a very good stay at this VRBO. The place was exceptionally clean and had all the necessities we needed. Although we didn’t stay long, everything was comfortable and well-prepared. The lake (or canal) in the back was very peaceful in the mornings, adding a relaxing touch to our visit. Highly recommend!

Great Weekend

Our 2nd stay at this property on Lake Henry. Everything was perfect and Ron was very accommodating with our check in. The house is everything you expected and on the lake with beautiful views. Thanks Ron we will be back again.

Great location!

We loved the updated furniture and the outdoor space was amazing. The only issue was the stove was smoking when we tried to use the oven. Nothing a good cleaning cant fix. Overall a great weekend!

Lovely stay in Lake Placid!

My family of 5 adults and our lab mix spent two very cozy nights here in this quiet neighborhood. We loved that home was spacious, clean, and had a backyard that was right on the scenic canal. We had local friends in the area that came over for dinner. The variety of pots, pans, plates, glasses and cutlery made entertaining far from home so easy! The patio with the ceiling fans/lights, tables, chairs and firepit made for a great evening. The hosts were kind to provide a welcome note with a bottle of wine and Kcups/creamers for coffee. Ron was great about answering my questions both on the VRBO app and via text. If we revisit the Lake Placid area, we would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed

We enjoyed our long weekend at this house. We brought our little boat and parked at the dock and were able to get through the canal (very shallow) to Lake June. The description and photos are accurate. Home was clean and updated. Air worked well, quiet, dog friendly, easy check in and check out, beds were comfortable. Only had a Keurig, fyi. No crazy dog fees and no extensive clean up list just the normal stuff (take trash out, put towels by washer). Perfect for what we needed.

Peace and quiet waterfront

Perfect house for our family of four. The fenced backyard provided a relaxing and private retreat. We enjoyed sitting on the dock and floating our kayak on Lake Henry. Very peaceful. Ron, our host, was very easy to reach and accommodating . The house was well equipped with all the comforts of home.

Perfect Gateway

A beautiful home nestled on Lake Henry with canal access. Perfectly decorated inside and a large patio and dock for fishing or boating. Great restaurants in Lake Placid and Sebring close by. Ron Thanks for making our getaway perfect and look forward to staying again in the near future.

Vacation Hideaway on the lake

Enjoyed a relaxing, peaceful, long weekend stay on the lake. Ron’s house was well equipped for comfort, both inside and out. Situated on a canal, with a fenced in yard, we felt as if we were the only ones on the block. The house provided us with a strong sense of security; allowing our dog to be outside by herself, as often as she wanted; which seemed to be all the time, as getting her to come back inside was not an easy task! Very quiet neighborhood with good restaurants all within walking distance, as well as a variety of shops, which were all easily accessible. Ron went above and beyond to grant and accommodate all of our wishes. The house certainly exceeded our expectations. We would most assuredly stay again. Thank you Ron for your hospitality, and for the bottle of wine. We enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Getaway

This house was perfect! Great yard right on a waterway. Spacious rooms for comfort. Showers were amazing! Conveniently located to restaurants and shopping. Ron was a great host, responded timely and was extremely gracious. Will stay here everytime we’re in Lake Placid!

Really good place for us to stay

Family lives in Lake Placid and is very close to this house. The place was exactly what we needed. Master on one side had its own nice bathroom, and the other side of the house had two bedrooms with a shared bath. The kitchen was great, and a washer/dryer was available. The back outdoor area was great = peaceful, and so nice—the master bedroom and pillows were very comfortable. I must comment on the host/owner - perfect communication and an easy check-in process with an auto-pin front door. They left a nice bottle of wine and a Keurig coffee maker with more than enough coffee, cream, french vanilla, and sugar alternatives = what a nice touch. They left some soap and shampoo/conditioner in the bathroom, and we forgot ours = such a nice gesture. Everything about the host and this place was perfect for us and we will stay here on our future visits to Lake Placid (also a very nice and quiet neighborhood).
