Step into a winter getaway that feels straight out of a storybook. At Belle Haven Cottage, calm lake waters and crackling fires set the mood for the coziest season of the year. Spend your mornings bundled up on the deck with a warm mug in hand, your afternoons exploring nearby Dahlonega, Helen or Gainesville and your evenings soaking under a peaceful star-filled sky.

Inside, gather around the fireplace for movies and snacks, challenge your crew in the game lounge, or whip up feasts in the fully stocked chef’s kitchen. With three private king suites and a playful bunk room, there’s space for everyone to unwind, celebrate, and feel at home.

Living Areas:

- Unwind in the main living room by the crackling fireplace.
- Head down to the terrace level Great Room, which features a TV, bar area, and game lounge with a mini kitchen and laundry nook.

We were in Gainesville for a family wedding, so several family members stayed at this amazing lakefront retreat. We all agreed it was the most fabulous VRBO we've ever stayed in! It was so accomodating with comfortable beds, fully stocked bathrooms and kitchen with wonderful snacks and drinks provided. The coffee/hot chocolate/apple cider/tea station was a huge hit! The downstairs was incredible. My 3 grandchildren loved it! There were games, movies, plenty of hot tub towels and even a fully stocked pirates chest! The icing on the cake was THREE bedrooms with a king bed and ensuite bath in each! Hot tub and kid's bunkroom were certainly a bonus too! The Christmas decorations were charming and made us feel right at home. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you Annette!

The pictures are beautiful but truly do not do this property justice. It is impeccably decorated, extremely comfortable, an absolutely beautiful home on a lovely property. The owner seems to have thought of literally everything! We had a wonderful day and can’t wait to return.

We absolutely loved staying here! The cottage is very welcoming, beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything you may need, including coffee, toiletries and fire wood. Great experience overall!

Wedding weekend

Our stay at Bell haven was perfect. The house was beyond beautiful and had so many cute details. The owner was quick to respond and very helpful. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a perfect get away.

Perfect Stay

This beautiful home was perfect for a relaxing girls trip recently. It's beautifully and thoughtfully appointed; we loved all of the little touches like the well stocked coffee bar, the toiletries, even the fire wood. Annette was wonderful to work with! Like most homes in the area, it's a steep climb down to the dock/lake, but as we were there in November, we enjoyed the views from the deck, patio, and the hot tub. We would absolutely stay here again!

Great Family Getaway, Quick Drive From Atlanta

Hot Tub + Fire Pit + Canoe = Great Outdoor Family Fun. Lots of s’mores and lake activities got all our teenagers outside and off their screens for a bit with all the comforts of home. What a nice break!

Lake Lanier Stay

This property was clean and well maintained. The kitchen had all we needed to have home cooked meals and snacks as needed. It is kid friendly with various toys and activities and a playground for them too. The dock area was clean and ready to go, as was the hot tub. We would recommend it to anyone with a medium sized family group. It is easy to reach from Gainesville with handy grocery stores and nearby restaurants that please families.

Want for nothing!

We had an amazing time at Annette's place. She was absolutely wonderful to work with. The house is stocked with everything you could possibly want or need for a vacation at the lake. She goes way beyond what you usually find in a rental property. The house is clean and comfortable and we watched the fireworks over Lake Lanier on July 4th from the dock. We fit two families comfortably. I highly recommend this home for anyone looking for a lake getaway.

Beautiful Home

This home was above our expectations. House was clean, modern, clean and exactly as it is advertised. Annette is great. She has thought of every thing in regard to what you need in a rental home. All the bedrooms were spacious and the beds comfortable. Kitchen has every thing you will need. Her coffee station is amazing! You can not go wrong if you are thing of renting this home. We will again for sure.

This rental is a MUST!

If could give this property 100 stars, I would. It was so perfect for our family of eight. Small things, like having the wifi info in big print multiple places...that was huge! My kids did not have to ask me once for the info. There was a snack basket and water when we arrived. Of course, the kids loved that. The house is so comfortable and has so much space. There are coffee nooks all over. We had family movie night in the basement. So, so comfortable. The dock had fishing, swimming, sunbathing. We had jet skis delivered to us for a few days, thanks to a recommendation of the owner. The location is close enough to everything, but far enough away you feel you are getting away. My husband and I love to cook, and the kitchen had everything we needed, including and outdoor grill where we were able to do a hibachi night. We will absolutely be back. The best lake vacation experience and it would not have happened without this amazing rental.

Sensational Stay

Belle Haven is outstanding. Being there is like staying in your own private resort. The cottage is clean and modern with high-end amenities and appliances, but feels like a secret country house surrounded by flowers and butterflies. We enjoyed special seating spots for coffee or conversation and larger areas for gathering for games or a meal at the dining table which seats ten. The charming décor and special touches make the space feel posh but also cozy and relaxing. Beds were comfortable and had plenty of pillows. It is a lovely property nestled into beautiful landscape but also near grocery and restaurants. The cove is secluded and offers wonderful opportunity to swim and play in the water. The owners have thought of truly every single thing (games, fluffy towels, kitchen necessities, coffee/tea/cocoa bar, books … the list goes on) to make a trip fabulous, and they went above and beyond to make our family trip amazing.

We love the neighborhood around Belle Haven Cottage because it offers the best of Lake Lanier—peaceful, scenic, and perfectly positioned for exploring North Georgia.

Located on the north end of the lake, our cove is noticeably calmer and quieter than the busier southern areas. Mornings are unhurried, boat traffic is lighter, and the water often feels glassy—ideal for kayaking, paddleboarding, fishing, or simply sipping coffee on the dock while the lake wakes up. It’s the kind of setting where you can truly relax and reconnect, surrounded by trees, birdsong, and open sky.

Another reason we love this area is how close it is to the mountains. From Belle Haven Cottage, you’re within easy reach of hiking trails, waterfalls, scenic overlooks, wineries, and seasonal adventures like apple picking and leaf peeping.
