Family sized cozy house with amazing views! 10 min from Durango

Welcome to Mountain View Retreat! Your home away from home. This commodious house comes complete with all the essentials needed, a cozy fire place, and an amazing view of the La Plata mountains. This space accommodates with two full baths, and three bedrooms, a large living room and extensive kitchen. An inviting fire pit waits with seating that is situated perfectly for watching sunsets and gathering in the outdoors. A play set for children on the south side of the property ensures that outside is fun for everyone. An additional space in the entryway is set up to house ski/snowboard gear for when winter sports are calling.
Located 15 min from town, all the restaurants, trails, shopping and activities that Durango has to offer are close by.

This was a perfect place for us to stay while we were in Durango. It is spacious, well stocked and has a beautiful deck. We enjoyed it so much. We came early home early one night to cookout dinner and enjoy the.great room. We loved all the wildlife in the area.

Overall a nice property. I do not feel it was accurately listed that there are folks that live in the below part of the house....so that was a surprise for sure. Other than that it was conveniently located and a nice property.

Very nice location with a nice view of the mountains. Very well supplied and stocked with plenty of bathroom and kitchen needs. Quiet area. If you like to cook like I do you will not like the gas burners! None of the burners will turn down below medium high. You can’t simmer or even cook egg’s without burning. That’s my only real issue that made my stay less than a 5 star. Internet went out 2 times. Lost one day of work due to no internet. Owner responded and reset it the same days. Lots of room and the AC worked well. Beds were soft if you like soft mattresses. Plenty of parking. Friendly small children living in first level.downstairs! Nice wildlife in yard. Great bathrooms. Nice tub upstairs. Master AC was noisy but worked great. Hot tub on deck is an eye sore. Should be removed to allow more seating on the deck. Not all windows have screens. All in all I recommend this spot. Good value for us.

Wonderful stay while we moved our son into Fort Lewis. Front rooms were really warm, so I reached out to property and owners immediately responded and brought us fans to help! Home was beautiful, had everything we needed and then some.

The home was spacious and very accommodating for my family and some of my in-laws. The owners were super easy to work with. I would highly recommend this place to anyone with a family looking to stay near the Durango area.

Family vacation

Our family consisted of 6 adults and 1 child. There is ample room for everything. The view from the back deck is great! The property is located within reasonable distance to local activities. We have stayed in homes for the past 15 years for vacations and this kitchen was the best as far as space and anything you may need for cooking. Dry nice house with a great rental price! Highly recommend.

Spectacular view

The property is beautiful with great views of mountain. We rented this property because we needed more space and it was as advertised with space for six people, although we didn't actually need that much because some family elected to stay in town in hotel, but it would have been great. very clean and beautiful kitchen and main living area. We would go again if we wanted to go to that area.

Family stay

We had a very pleasant stay here while in Durango. The photos don’t do this place justice on how big it is! There’s so much space throughout the house and there’s practically everything you could need while there. Our family of 6 felt right at home. Close enough to the city center and far enough to feel secluded from the world.

Stay was comfortable and had everything we needed for a successful vacation house. The host had supplies ready to go and the house was very clean. Only suggestion would be to replace blinds, the evening sun really heated up the place. Other than that the house was an Amazing place for our family,. Thank YOU

Excellent trip

A very nice place with more than your average amenities. Clean, well equipped and located about 10 minutes from downtown. Great views and overall super comfortable place to stay. I've stayed at many VRBO's and I have to say the beds were perhaps the best of any place I've been, especially after a hard day skiing. Thank you and hope to be back next year!

My absolutely favorite VRBO stay EVER! Home is stunning. Wildlife in the back yard each morning. Kitchen was fully equipped. Beds were extremely comfortable. The views from the back deck were breathtaking.

I am originally from Oklahoma and moved to Colorado in 2016. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with Durango and the surrounding area. Despite being a smaller mountain town, Durango has a lot to offer! During the winter I enjoy snowboarding and in the warmer months hiking with my dog, and biking with friends. Hosting has been quite fun for me as I like meeting new people, allowing guests to partake in my abundant home, and sharing all the adventure SW Colorado has to offer.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

The view from my property is breathtaking as the La Plata mountains are on full display from the back porch, not to mention the amazing sunsets that take place over the peaks each night! The neighborhood is quiet and out of town just far enough to feel secluded. The deer and wildlife are a great addition to the yard and quite entertaining to watch in the morning and evening hours.
