¡Esta es una gran cabaña para que cualquier familia se escape y disfrute durante cualquier época del año!

Ubicado directamente en el sendero de motos de nieve a solo 5 millas al oeste de Cadillac, a 5 millas al este de la estación de esquí de Caberfae, y a solo 2 millas al norte de la M-55 en el corazón del bosque nacional de Manistee. ¡Ideal para escapadas de vacaciones de verano e invierno!

Lista de cosas cercanas que hacer:

-Snowmobile Trail fuera de la calzada. Sin perder tiempo cargando y descargando trineos durante todo el día. ¡Simplemente montar!

-Top Notch SKIING & GOLF en Caberfae Resort (5 millas) y Crystal Mountian Resort (15 millas). (¡Por cierto, alojarse en esta cabaña es mucho mejor y menos costoso que cualquier habitación de hotel pequeña!)

-Pine River piragüismo, tubos, tabla de paddle, rafting, y más (8 millas).

-Lake Cadillac y Lake Mitchell, cada uno con lanzamientos públicos de botes (5 millas) para una gran cantidad de pesca, paseos en bote, canotaje, kayak y más.

- Caminatas y más en los miles de acres de tierra estatal a 500 yardas por el camino porque se encuentra en el corazón del bosque de Manistee.

Very nice clean place

We stayed the week and loved it! Close to nature, but yet close enough to shopping, restaurants, and the lake all very short drives. Will stay again and reccomend to anyone wanting a reasonable beutiful kept place.

The cabin was equipped with everything needed and very secluded. There was hunted decor all over that created a unique environment. If your looking to relax it’s your place.

Painless experience!

Very cute little cabin to stay at! There was a small list of instructions to “set up” and “tear down” which made it very easy. We loved having our own space while visiting family nearby. We also loved not being bothered by the host during our stay - It felt like we had some privacy. We will be back!

Just as described for hikers, skiers, snowmobilers

We stayed here for a few overnights while we hiked since it is right on the edge of the Manistee forest. It was perfect for that and would be even more perfect for snow mobiles. The trails ARE the road to the cabin. The cabin was just as pictured, well kept, well stocked and clean! Thanks for the Sprechers..nice touch and so delicious.

Too much work!

House was okay but way too much work required by owner: must make your own beds and they are terrible to make as twin beds. Cleaning required at end of stay: clean shower, sink and toilet, kitchen sink, microwave, stove and refrigerator plus counters, vacuum whole house, remove all bedding, was all dishes and put back in correct storage containers, etc.

Yes there are cleaning items all parties who stay need to do before they leave. It shouldn't have been a surprise to Dan. It is stated in the advertising. It is listed out in the rental agreement which is posted online. When I send access instructions I remind renters about this prior to their stay. At anytime if someone doesn't want to do the cleaning they can request a cleaning fee instead. This is NOT a hotel. You are renting my home, and I just want you to leave it like you found it. If you want someone to clean up after you, then please book a hotel. If you want a fantastic cabin with a wonderful setting & plenty of privacy located in the woods on the snowmobile trail. A place you can create memories, this is the place for you. I have been renting this cabin out for years now with many repeat customers who love it! General cleaning list is: Wash your dishes & put them away -Wipe down counters, tables, appliances with Clorox wipes which are provided. -Wipe out sinks w/wipes, clean toilet, and spray shower with shower spray. -Vacuum -Put dirty sheets, pillow cases, and towels in dirty laundry basket.

The Lazy Acorn

Felt like we had a looming cleaning nightmare coming at the end the whole time no matter how clean we kept it and are, and the fact we had a cleaning fee with rigorous cleaning instructions and the illegal instructions to dump trash at a school since its your responsibility to dispose of it which is highly inconvenient other than that it was great place but with cleaning fees and no trash pick up dont think we will be staying again.

It is unfortunate that I did everything possible to communicate with him about what to expect, and he gives a poor review because he never read the emails and information provided him. The story is he booked it 3 days prior to the weekend. I sent him access instructions immediately. Later that evening I sent another email clearly explaining the checkout process since he had paid a cleaning fee. The process is simple, wash your dishes, put dirty linens in laundry basket, remove all your things including food you brought with you, shut off lights, and lock things up. He never responded to my emails as I had asked him to, so I called him the following day prior to his stay to make sure he received them. He confirmed he received them but hadn't looked at them. Well, it became evident he didn't read the list I sent to him, and because of this he did the cleaning list that customers who book directly on my website get. They have the option to complete a full cleaning list and in return are not charged a cleaning fee at all. Part of this list does include disposing of your own trash. There is not trash service due to the secluded location. Most just take with them to the golf course, ski hill, or put in the back of their truck. I tried contacting him again to fix the miscommunication, and possibly even refund his cleaning fee. He would never return my attempts to contact him. Maybe you would prefer the opportunity to save by not having to pay a cleaning fee? If so, you should book the Lazy Acorn Cabin directly at www.LazyAcorn.com! From there you can contact me in advance to ask plenty of questions to make sure you understand everything. I enjoy talking with clients to make sure they are getting what they need!

LOVED IT!!

CLEAN. QUIET. PEACEFUL. This little cabin is tucked away in the woods so quietly and perfectly! Clean, well supplied, serene yet close enough to "town" to be able to go check things out. No curtains on any of the windows, and that kind of weirded out me and my hubby, but.....the cabin is so secluded who cares, right? Just a personal thing I guess....I didn't like having just pitch darkness looking back at me thru the windows but if thats the worst I can say about the place that ain't bad! It is quiet and cute and I would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing (yet conveniently located) place to stay... I would ABSOLUTELY consider staying here again!! (and I'll just bring my own curtains! HA!)

Thanks for the review! I am very glad you loved the place. I would like to clarify for other reading this review that there are blinds in the bathroom and bedroom for privacy. Just not in the living & dining room areas. See you again next year!

Good location to visit Lake Michigan shores

We liked the property isolation while being close to a town (Cadillac). Once we figured out the local roads, we were able to reach Sleeping Bear dunes in one hour drive - very reasonable. Most all shore places of interest (Ludington, Traverse City, and the shore parks are within 1-1.5 hour drives). Most all drives I would rate as scenic - we liked taking different roads anywhere we went. The Michigan Lake dunes are a must-go place - should be obvious to everyone. Greg.

Great Budget Friendly Quiet Place

This was a perfect setup for us. We were gone doing activities most of the weekend and it was nice to come back and have a nice secluded and quiet place to hangout. We had rain come through one evening but the covered porch was plenty big enough for all of us to hangout on, grill, and enjoy the evening. We also enjoyed the cabin feel and got a kick out of all of the older movies.
