Everything was perfect. The host replied to any concerns immediately. It’s a beautiful property and everything was clean and fully stocked.

The property was mostly good except for one particular issue: there is only AC in the master bedroom and the living room. I purposely booked this location because it was listed as having AC. It does not have AC in all of the rooms. The master bedroom has a portable AC unit. The living room as a wall mounted AC. The other two bedrooms and bathrooms do not have AC at all. Please be aware of this if you need AC.

The property was nice and clean. The location was great. The owner responded quickly to an issue. The air conditioning did not cool down the house until late into the evening. Overall it was a nice property.

Overall we had a great stay. The property listing is accurate; however, when it stated air conditioning we were expecting actual air conditioning. We live on O’ahu so we understand humidity, etc. which is why we liked the idea of A/C. There is a portable A/C unit in the master bedroom and a small A/C unit in the living room area, but the house itself was never at a comfortable temperature. The bedrooms our children were in were unbearably hot. We did notice a difference when we opened windows in the evening, but being in an unfamiliar area, we didn’t want to leave windows open while we were sleeping. The house was updated and clean. It is in a bit of a remote area so it was pleasantly quiet, especially after being out and about during the day.

Great family vacation!

We came to Hilo for a family vacation. We loved the location, it was close to the cliffs where we could watch the sunrise and not too far of a drive to downtown Hilo. The AC unit in the master and living area were nice to have, although the other 2 bedrooms didn’t get air flow so they were still hot and took a while to cool down. There were plenty of fans though to circulate air, so that was nice! It wasn’t as clean as I had hoped when we arrived. The showers were dirty and the sheets had stains on them. The washer and dryer was very convenient to have so we could wash our towels/swimwear. There was no hand towels/rags to dry hands and wipe down counters so we feel like we used a lot of paper towel when it could have been avoided if those were provided. We appreciated that some condiments were provided in the fridge as well as spices. Overall it was a nice place to stay and we had a fun family vacation!

Promise of air conditioning was not accurate

Lack of adequate air conditioning in summer in Puna required us to buy an additional portable A/C unit and borrow fans. The portable unit there was great for master bedroom. The unit in the common area was undersized and misplaced to do a good job in common area. The two other bedrooms had nothing. Check your barbecue grill not working and no instructions. TV no instructions. Otherwise it met our needs quite nicely and would have gotten a good review.

Great experience

The house is beautiful and had everything we need like a washing machine, towels, basic stuff to make food (ex spices, sauces), dishes, BBQ, air conditioning… The owner answered to my questions fast. The house is minimum 30 mins from the attractions. I would recommand.

Home was nice, there was still a little trash left in the trash can in the kitchen and garbage cans were not empty. Only problem there is the water pressure both showers could not be on at the same time along with washing dishes. Other then that it’s a nice place.
