Cozy Beach Cottage

Little Beach Cottage with that “back in the day” feel.
Remember when you couldn’t wait to see the ocean water as you came over the bridge. The anticipation of getting to your cottage, putting on your bathing suit and heading to the beach, This little cottage gives you that “old time feel” but still updated comforts for your perfect family vacation! The rocking chair front porch will certainly be your invitation to come and relax for your stay! You are sure to enjoy the evenings, while watching the sun retreat over the sound. Offering 3 bedroom and one full bath, fully equipped kitchen, ceiling fans throughout plus an outdoor shower!!! The Little Beach Cottage is located within walking distance to the Surf City pier, restaurants, shops, beach access and parks.

I live about 7 miles from the Island so you can rest assured that I am a
local and available if you need anything during your stay.

The laundry room is downstairs (right side door) and the key to that will be in kitchen window. This is the room with the beach things.

There are beach toys also.

In the little closet just off the kitchen there are some extra things and please help yourself. Beach towels, etc.

I will have the beds made for your arrival so you won't have to pack any
sheets, towels, kitchen, etc. I provide 5 beach towels providing the
previous guest didn't keep for souvenir . It happens and I have plenty.

There is plenty of paper products (toilet paper, paper towels, napkins,
foam dinner plates, and trash bags.


There is a Keurig so there will be a few coffee pods to get you started along with a drip coffee maker.

6 pack of bottle water in the fridge cold for your arrival.

A couple of years ago the town of Surf City installed bike lanes on S Topsail which is wonderful for walking and biking.

Beach Access:

As a local, we say “oh, about this far”.

I have actually walked to the nearest beach access so I will know exact distance.
When you walk out of the driveway and turn to the left you will go 326 normal walking steps. Then turn left onto Seahorse Avenue and walk an additional 126 normal walking steps. The beach access is directly at the end.

This cottage was perfect for our family vacation! Cathy was an amazing host and very communicative. The cottage had all the amenities and things we needed. From towels and linens to central AC, internet, and paper products. Short walk to the beach with our two children and lots of places to eat nearby. The beach was peaceful and the boardwalk across the street was amazing for watching the sun go down. Our kids even loved the outdoor shower. Would highly recommend!!

Great rental- all the essentials so didn’t have to pack all Our beach stuff, linens, and efficient for a short stay when we planned a trip late in the season. South topsail road is busy so a little sketchy walking on it with little Kids but appreciated the firmly locking gate across top of the steps of the porch. Liked being across from the marsh boardwalk and little park with swings too. Host is readily available and responsive!

Clean, comfortable and kind

We had a lovely time. It was so nice to have sheets on the beds, towels, toilet paper, paper towel, beach chairs—even laundry soap! Cathy was so kind and responsive. We’ll be back!

First time staying in Surf City ! Family of 4! Location was perfect and close to everything! Walk to beach is only a few minutes wasn’t bad at all ! House and front porch were perfect for our family had everything we needed and very clean ! Can’t wait to come again !

A good place to get away

Property is in good shape. Doors stick, The kitchen needs a few more utensils to be complete.A dish washer would be a good start. Ease of access for someone with physical handicap not so good. Traffic was a pain from 3pm to 6pm , im not sure why. I would give this property an 8 out of 10. We enjoyed our stay

Great family vacay!

We snuck away to Topsail for a second time this summer last minute and found this little gem of a cottage. It is across the street from a family park (we fished and played basketball there) and conveniently located to the Surf City center. We typically stay in Topsail Beach (south) and it is a bit quieter there for traffic as you would expect, but this was a nice shake up location wise. The homeowner provided beach chairs, a beach cart, beach towels, etc. which made our packing lighter and easier once there. Having linens, towels, and laundry supplies provided also made the trip easier on me which I was grateful for too. The owner was very kind and communicative during our stay - even had cupcakes and candy set out as we arrived for my husband and son's birthdays (that we celebrated while there). The bedrooms are a little small, but it didn't bother us as we wanted to be outside anyway! Very reasonable cost for such a great vacation spot for our family getaway!!

Simply Perfect

This beach house is absolutely perfect. Short walk to the beach, views of the bay (and close to a bayside pier), and super easy access to the center of Surf City. Loved mornings on the porch sipping coffee and reading when storms passed through. Well appointed kitchen and easy comms with host. All of my family gives this location a 10/10.

Family Time…

We needed a last minute get away for our family to spend some quality time together. This was a great option…quaint, clean, provided everything you needed, close to beach, close to evening activities. Totally enjoyed our vaca todether🙂

A cozy cottage

This is a wonderful place to stay in. It is clean with a warm cozy feel to it. It is close to the stores - about 10 minutes, and is also about 8 minute walk to the beach access. There is also an outdoor shower which helped rinse out after the beach. The hostess was very responsive and so very helpful. The beds are comfortable too. An extra private bathroom and a dishwasher would have rated it a 5 star. We completely enjoyed our stay.
