I don’t like to leave negative comments. That’s just not me. Friends and family have told me to do so as others may stay there and they have a right to know. So, here’s the good: It’s a super cute house. Really nice area. The owner was nice and quick to respond with most issues. We had an issue with the AC and it was fixed right away. It was just a loose wire. We had an issue with the internet and again, the owner responded right away. Ended up being an unplugged router. Easy fix. No biggie. The bad (I’ll only list a few): First day our kids found a dirty fork by a chair, dishes had mold on them and some utensils were dirty, the floors were dirty, one of our kids woke up with bug bites. My son killed a roach by the table and also found a pair of shoes under his bed. My other son found a sock. I cleaned the afternoon we arrived and washed all the bedding the following morning. Cleaning someone else’s house was the last thing I wanted to do on my vacation. I should have been reimbursed the 175 cleaning fee. I think the owner has too much trust in his housekeeper. This place had really good reviews and that’s why we wanted to stay and I would like to think this place could still be a decent place to stay in, IF there were a new housekeeper. I did reach out to the owner about those issues as well, but received no response.
