Welcome to the Lookout Cabin! This property is an ideal retreat for families looking to spend their time in Shaver Lake. Between the three bedrooms, cozy living room, a beautifully updated kitchen, and a spacious deck, families will have plenty of space to spread out and enjoy themselves! Steps away from shops, restaurants, and the lake, this haven offers the perfect blend of convenience and comfort.

While the Lookout Cabin feels just the right amount of secluded, you’re still walking distance from all of our favorite shops and restaurants. The lake is approx. 1 mile down the road, so it’s a very short drive. You can also take a hiking trail located right across the street from the property that will lead you to the lake, or the museum where you can learn all about the history that makes Shaver Lake what it is today!

If you’re visiting in the winter months, China peak Ski Resort is about 25-minute drive from the property where you can go skiing/snowboarding. There is also a couple of snow parks where you and your family can go sledding.

We have a smart lock located on the front door to ensure a smooth check-in process. The door code and all other check-in instructions will be provided before your stay.

Kitchen & Dining: The beautifully updated kitchen features an open floorplan making it easy for guests to come together and cook their favorite meals. It is thoughtfully equipped with an array of dishes and cooking utensils to ensure that you will have everything you need throughout your stay. We take pleasure in providing a coffee bar stocked with complementary coffee, hot chocolate, and a basket filled with tempting snacks. The dining table is also located in the kitchen and can comfortably seat up to 6 people.

Living Room: The cozy living room has comfortable couches, recliners, and a Roku TV so you can stream your favorite movies or TV shows. There are also board games and a selection of books for your entertainment. During winter months, guests can enjoy the warmth from the fireplace with the complementary firewood that is provided.

Bedroom #1: The master bedroom is located next to the kitchen and provides a comfortable Queen size bed, dresser, and a Roku TV. There is also a vanity set up in the bedroom with a mirror that lights up, which is perfect for us girls to get ready with!

Bedroom #2: The second bedroom is located upstairs and features two double beds, a dresser, and a Roku TV.

Bedroom #3: The third bedroom is also located upstairs and features a full-size bed, twin bunkbed, dresser, and a Roku TV.

Bathrooms: There are two bathrooms in this home. One is situated downstairs and can be accessed from the master bedroom or the living room, ensuring easy access for all. The second bathroom is upstairs in between the two bedrooms. Complementary soaps and towels will be provided during your stay.

Outdoors: Step outside on the beautiful deck and wraps around the side of the cabin. With plenty of outdoor furniture, this spacious deck offers the perfect setting for the whole family to relax and take in the crisp mountain air. Engage in a friendly game of cornhole, ladderball, or badminton/pickleball. Showcase your grilling skills on the BBQ, or unwind by the comforting glow of the firepit as the sun sets.

Head East on Hwy 168 until you reach the town of Shaver Lake. After you pass the Hungry Hut, you'll make a left turn on Walburn Rd. then follow the road to the right onto Digger Ln. You'll see a big red building on your left.

Parking: 4-5 cars can comfortably park at this property. Boat/trailers are also welcome to be parked in the driveway.

Access: Please note that the garage will not be available for guests as we use it for storage space only.

AC: This property does NOT have air conditioning. However, fans are provided in the house to help keep air circulating during summer months.

Winter: This house has central heat and a wood burning fireplace. Firewood is provided during the guests stay. Please understand that heat rises, so upstairs will always stay warmer then downstairs.

Outdoor Furniture: During winter months, the outdoor furniture and BBQ will be put away as the weight of the snow can damage the furniture. We appreciate your understanding!

Trash: If guests are staying at the property on Sunday nights, please note that our handyman will stop by the property early Monday morning to roll the trash cans down to the street.
