The house was wonderful for our family of 5. Great location right in the heart of the golden circle. Perfect for short or long day trips. Easy to check into the house and plenty of room to spread out a bit. Would definitely stay here again. Loved our trip to Iceland!!

This house served as a great base of operations for exploring the Golden Circle and southern Iceland. The house was beautiful and clean. The host was responsive, helpful, and generous with leaving everything we needed. I highly recommend this house.

Lichtdurchflutetes Haus

Sehr viel Licht und Aussicht traumhafte Umgebung. Sehr gute Kommunikation, das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet. Viel Platz. Gepflegtes und schönes Umfeld. Leider war der Whirlpool nicht in Betrieb wir würden aber trotzdem wieder kommen, egal ob mit oder ohne Pool. Für Vogelliebhaber: Es gibt dort auch Schneehühner zu sichten Temporär hat's dort die typischen Mücken, hat uns aber auch nicht gestört. Wir würden es auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Wonderful week in amazing surrounding

We watched polar lights, visited a lava tunnel and Reykjavik. The house is a perfect base for all this and a lot of more activities. Simply perfect.

Beautiful stay near Selfoss

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay our first four days/nights in Iceland. This home had all of the amenities we could have asked for and more. It was a great location for touring all over the southern regions of Iceland. We would definitely stay again.

Das Haus, sowie die Lage, waren sehr gut. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region schnell zu erreichen. Mit allem nötigen ausgestattete Küche. Einzig der Hot tub war nicht funktionstüchtig, was unser Urlaubserlebnis geschmälert hat.

The perfect golden circle homebase

The owners were incredibly gracious with our impacted travel plans and once we finally made it we were ecstatic when we pulled up to the house. It is not quite as remote as the pictures might tend to make you believe. We spent a lot of time in Selfoss which is a short 20 or so minute drive. We also used the couple of small grocery options within ten minutes just about everyday. Over the course of our stay I think we made it to every attraction on the golden circle we had planned. The home was lovely, quit, secluded and comfortable. It was perfect.

Beautiful house and excellent for exploring Golden Circle

We really enjoyed our stay since both the house and the location are excellent. It is a perfect location for making day trips around south Iceland (e.g. Westman Islands, south coast waterfalls, Golden Circle). The house is very clean and functional. There are 3 bedrooms and was more than enough space for our family of 4. The location is very peaceful and a great place to unwind and cook dinner after sightseeing. Highly recommend!!

360 degree view of a beautiful landscape

A modern house with all amenities, even for a long stay. We stayed more than two weeks and almost felled that we were at home. The house is a lot more spacious than what we can appreciate on photos and the view is terrific! If you look carefully, you can even see the head of the Kerid Crater. Also, it is well located in the center of all main attractions in south/west Iceland. Hosts were prompt to answer questions and communications were clear.

Beautiful location & everything we needed

This house exceeded our expectations. The location and views are stunning. The house is brand new with a smart layout, beautiful design, and had everything we needed. Close enough to Selfoss to grab groceries and a couple dinners (food court and Konungs for coffee). 30-40 mins from Thingvellier. We did the Golden Circle one day, Vik the next, and then Vestmannaeyjar islands. It was a great home base and was very comfortable for our family of 4 (2 parents 2 teens). So nice to relax and sit on the deck, listening to the birds and taking in the views.

Beautiful house with serene views

We had an amazing week at Elisabet’s house. Retrieving the keys was easy, the house has everything you need (and more) and has the perfect location to start touring Iceland. The house has a fresh modern look and absolutely offered enough space for us (6 family members).

Great Location and Amenities

We travelled with two adults and three teenagers. This is a great location for the National Park and the Golden Corcle. We spent three nights here before continuing around ring road. Fantastic amenities and very easy to work with property owners.

Burfell House

Seeking a quiet and nice home away from home we started building this house in 2008, finishing it more or less this year. We have enjoyed our stays in the house and it has lived up to expectations.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

There is a panoramic view from the living room, closest is a moss field and some rocks and further away a mountain and we can see the ocean in the distance. From the front door one can see Burfell, a mountain that is a signiture for the region and, which can be seen from far away. Thingvellir, the parliament site of old, which is a wonderful national park, is only about 30 minutes drive from the house. There are 3 golf courses close by and an outdoor swimming pool.
