The Century House is a charming American Foursquare holding a unique blend of historic character and modern amenities.

As you enter, you'll be greeted by a cozy living room and a parlor, each with their own (non-operating) fireplace and comfortable seating for 10+. The dining room features a beautiful solid wood table that comfortably seats 8 and a convenient half bath. The fully equipped kitchen boasts an island, a small breakfast table, and everything you need to cook up a delicious meal.

On the second floor, you'll find four cozy bedrooms and a full bathroom. Every bedroom has white noise machines and generous mirrors. Two bedrooms on the second floor have desks for working.

The master suite on the third floor is a spacious retreat with a king bed, a day bed, and a bench that can double as a small bed if desired (31" x 71"). It also has a sitting table, a TV and an ensuite bathroom.

The partially finished basement offers a third full bathroom and washer and dryer.

Step outside to a small fenced-in backyard area with a seating area and grill.

The Century Home is the perfect home base for exploring the trendy Short North neighborhood and all that Columbus has to offer.

We are right next door to a church, so you can often hear the beats of church music playing on Sunday mornings. We provide white noise machines in every room to accommodate for this.

Clean and Walkable Location in Columbus

Megan as an awesome host! Her home is beautifully updated and the floor plan was great for a bigger group. She also had items for little ones which was helpful as we had a 2 year old with us. The location was easy to get to things in Columbus and the suburbs. Parking was easy with the permits she provided electronically as well.

Excellent Home for Families!

The Century House was perfect. High quality home. Well furnished with thoughtful amenities and supplies provided. Sound machines and nightlights were a nice touch. Lights, luggage racks and hangers in the closets were helpful. Very clean. Kid friendly.

Great location & space

We had plans around OSU and the Short North area, this location was perfect. The house is absolutely stunning, and the setup makes it feel very private even though it’s in the city. Our group appreciated the multiple living spaces and bathrooms. Like many urban areas there is a noticeable homeless population, so we did choose to drive rather than walk to nighttime activities. I would definitely consider staying here again, the host was wonderful.

Great Columbus Getaway!

We loved our stay! The place was super clean and the location is close to high street so it’s walkable to all the restaurants and bars on High St. We came also walked to the stadium for game day. Megan was super attentive, checked in and made sure we had everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay again.

Easy and Comfortable

This place is in a great location, close to High street but not on High street. Very clean, and cozy. The five bedrooms, some with extra beds make this perfect for large groups.

Best Host and property

I truly mean this review. The house was amazing plenty of room many bedrooms. The furniture and lay out was beautiful. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the cooking utensils, plates, cups and everything else you could need. Complimentary coffee and expresso. Plenty of towels and wash rags. The bathroom also stocked with body wash, shampoo, conditioner, qtips, and flossers. Host was amazing making sure our stay was going well and making sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend this host and property and will definitely be back in the future.

4th of July Surprise 80th Bday

Whole family came back into our home town for the 4th of July and we were throwing a surprise 80th Bday party for our mother. The Century House was perfect for the 9 of us. Tons of room, separate space and bedrooms, communial area to sit and relax together and catchup. Loved the location, close to (east walk) all the Short North has to offer and easy access to freeways and the rest of Columbus. Megan was amazing with her quick response to questions, suggestions and just checking in on us and how we were doing. Even wishing my mother a happy 80th birthday. we will be back in Columbus and will be back at The Century House.

This property truly surpassed our expectations. We were a party of 7, ranging in age from 18 to 82, in from Cleveland, Baltimore, and England to attend my son’s graduation from OSU. Firstly, the location was amazing, a very short distance to the University, to the Short North Arts district, and German village. Parking was very easy on the street. Secondly, the bedrooms were amazing. There were four on the second floor, and one on the third floor, and all were very thoughtfully designed— very visually appealing, with luggage racks, tasteful artwork, and closets in all. Storage was great. The third floor, master suite allowed some privacy when you just need a moment. Thirdly, having three full bathrooms (one in the third floor master, one on the second floor, and one in the basement) was terrific for a party of our size. It was so nice for the kids not to have to share with the grandparents (or frankly, with us :) ). Everybody could get ready on time for events without waiting for the bathroom. Fourthly, the kitchen was very well set up, we cooked two full gourmet dinners while we were there, and the dining table seats eight, which frankly is hard to find in a rental home. Fifthly, there was nice outdoor space in the form of a front porch with comfortable chairs and a back patio (didn’t use that but looked nice). Finally, it was a very beautiful home, which might not mean much to some people, but which greatly added to our experience. Would give more stars !

Perfect all around!

Stayed here with our family. The host was prompt in replying to all my communications. The location was perfect. So close to many places we wanted to visit, like the conservatory, zoo and LegoLand. Many places to explore within walking distance as well. The house was perfect for our needs. Five bedrooms was a hard option to find. This home not only offered that but had three and a half bathrooms as well. Just what we needed for a large group. Parking in a downtown can be a nightmare for sure! This home offers 3 paid parking spaces for your stay, made our stay much less of a hassle. The beds are comfortable, and the home is very well stocked. Plenty of dishes, and a beautiful large dining table. The host was helpful offering options of areas to visit with toddlers, including the two parks so close by. They also have toys ( games for adults to play too) a highchair and a portable crib as well. This home is a reflection of what every VRBO host should offer!!! We truly enjoyed our stay!
