The whole group will be comfortable in this spacious and unique space. Frederick Fitting, who brought the railroad to Bellville, built this beauty in 1863. With 5 bedrooms (all on the 2nd floor), 3.5 bathrooms and abundant historical charm it encapsulates all that is Bellville. Uniquely decorated and welcoming ambiance make the home one of a kind. Walking distance to Bellville restaurants and shopping. Guests have access to the whole house.
Other things to note:
15 to 20 minutes to Mohican State Park, Malabar Farm State Park, Mid-Ohio Race Track, Ohio State Reformatory, Snow Trails Ski And Tubing Lodge and Pleasant Hill Lake.

Unique quaint home

We enjoyed our stay. The adult ladies enjoyed the hot tub and large dining room table to sit around and chat. The teen girls enjoyed the pool table and doing a photo shoot for fun in all the rooms!

Great Stay

We had ages 2-72 stay at the house for a family get together. Everyone had a great time and felt accommodated. The pool table, hot tub, large dining table and games from the library were all a huge bonus! Plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful house with us!

Great Historical House!

The house is beautiful and spacious! Hot tub was on upon arrival, wood provided for fire and the pool table was a bonus! Furnishings are antique and kept in well maintained condition. Perfect place for large families or groups of friends!

Overnight for Snow Tubing

We absolutely LOVED the house. It was beautiful inside and out. The amenities were the icing on the cake with the pool table, hot tub and fireplace. Such a unique rental in a cute town conveniently located near several areas of interest. We would love to come back to explore more about the area!

Girl's Weekend

Loved the house! So much history. We loved exploring the rooms and decor. Comfortable beds, plenty of towels and necessities. Owner extremely responsive. Would definitely stay again!

Weekend getaway to ski at Snow Trails

The house was perfect for 2 families (10 people total) to get away and to be close to snow trails ski resort. Everything was great. Will try to come back again :)

Wonderful, antiquey house!!

The kids had so much fun exploring the house, with the cool grand staircase and the "secret" staircase and all of the ornately decorated rooms. The house was charming and fun both inside and out. We had a large group but there were enough kitchen supplies. It was also nice there was a dishwasher and laundry to wash dishes and dish towels. The only reason it's not a straight 5 star is because we left a therapeutic ice roller in the freezer and the host never responded to my messages about it.

The rooms were large, with a well-stocked kitchen, and the water pressure and heating were good. The BEDS were HORRIBLE! It was like sleeping on rocks! There was a nail coming up through the floor in my grandson's room, right beside his bed, when he got out of bed. There was NO plug in the bathroom sink in the master bath - I dropped my 75 small bottle of glaucoma eye drops down it and could NOT get them out! The oven knob is WORN off, and we had to Google for about 45 minutes before we could find a wall oven to even bake! Could not find outside lighting, so it was very dark at night coming in. The belt on the dryer squeaks and sounds like itis about to go out at any time!

Melanie, Thank you for the feedback. Regarding the beds, all of our mattresses are Zinus brand. We have multiple STR’s and we often get superb feedback with respect to how comfortable the mattresses are. We’ll definitely address the other issues you listed as we were not aware of the shortcomings. Regards, Benji

Old world digs. New world conveniences

Our small group of 4 found the old house to be charming and comfortable. We made use of the laundry, the kitchen, the grill, the old 45s in the library, and of course the kitchen. The street is quiet, and location was not too far from our venue. Perhaps we'll be back again.

Beautiful victorian home!

This house was even better in person! Absolutely beautiful and so well maintained. Outstanding decor we could have looked at for hours. The hot tub, pool table, board games, tv, & wifi were lovely amenities. The whole vibe was incredible. Definitely not haunted so no worries there! We hosted a murder mystery dinner party gatsby themed and it was the absolute perfect place for it. The house comes fully stocked to make a wonderful dinner for 10 We actually opted out of some of the dinnerware and glassware we brought because theirs were better!! Thankfully there was a dishwasher lol! I could not recommend this place more. Thank you!
