Unique Remodeled 1888 Schoolhouse with Highland Cows

Welcome to The Schoolhouse!

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway

This adorable 4 bedroom home is newly renovated and located just outside the charming town of Bellville, only 7 miles from I-71. When pulling in, you will be met by a peaceful country setting.

Like to fish? Visit the pond and try your luck or pull up a chair and sit next to the fire pit and enjoy the stars. Too cold to head out? Then snuggle up inside this charming house and make plans to explore the local attractions or just stay in and relax. For those animals lovers, you will find a pasture at the end of the driveway that is home to 3 of the cutest highland cows you have ever met! You are welcome to grab a treat and feed them through the fence or contact me directly for pictures and a meet and greet with the ladies! Don’t worry… if animals are not your thing, the pasture is far enough away you will never know they are there unless you want to.

This home is the perfect place for meeting up and reconnecting with friends and family. It features pops of color, comfy furniture and beds, plenty of space at the large dining table for eating or working, and a floor plan that is both open and inviting. The exposed brick and rafters make it even more memorable. The kitchen is well stocked to meet all of your cooking and baking needs.

Downstairs features an open area that connects the family room, dining area, and kitchen, washer/dryer, and half bathroom. Also located downstairs is bedroom number 1 with a queen bed, and a full bathroom. There is a mud room/bonus room with a bunk bed and plenty of coat hooks which leads to the covered patio and grill. This space is set up with fairy lights for a great outdoor atmosphere. Don’t forget those marshmallows for the fire pit which is located just past the covered porch and stocked with wood.

The upstairs features 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom. The upstairs hall overlooks the family room. Two of the upstairs bedrooms include king beds and closet space while the 3rd is set up with just enough space for 2 twin beds.

I can't say enough about this lovely home. You could tell the owners put a lot of thought into every detail. The decor is beautiful, the house has everything you will need, and visiting the animals was an extra treat! I would highly recommend this home and would definitely visit there again.

Comfy, cozy and welcoming! Spent two nights over New Years to catch up with long, long time friends. Had everything we needed! Large, well equipped kitchen and outside grill made fixing meals easy. Large dining and living area too. If it wasn’t so cold, we would have spent some time checking out the farm animals…but we did meet Pete, the barn cat. He’s a cool cat!Thanks so much…already thinking about next year!

This was our first ARNB. The area is my go to for relaxation & enjoying Fall. The school house provided a very memorable get away. We loved the experience. The cows & goats added to a great experience. However Pete welcoming us with such friendly meow & song Wonderful memories were made!

Amazing weekend getaway

This schoolhouse is a perfect place to stay for whatever your need is. It’s very spacious and the scenery is beautiful. The highland cows were so friendly and they loved all of the attention they received. We will definitely come back

Great place for Mid Ohio weekend

Great house and amenities, super friendly host. Spent most of our time at Mid Ohio but the one evening we stayed at the location was super comfortable and great couches, fire pit, and family dinner table. We'll definitely be back.

This place was exactly what we needed for our family. We were here for a wedding and this placed allowed all of us to have our own personal space and the room needed for everyone to get ready. We completely enjoyed our stay! Julie was a great host. She communicated promptly when I messaged her. From the amazingly comfy beds and bedding, to the provided firewood for the pit, we wanted for nothing! We loved that there were cozy, warm blankets spread throughout the house! Such a stress free relaxing weekend!

This rental was more than we expected! The house is so unique and we loved all the thoughtful touches! Everything was stocked above our expectations! The location is quiet, and the highland cows and goats are well cared for! Would love to stay again on another family trip but will recommend to friends looking for a grou trip! The location was perfect for so many activities in the area. We visted Malabar Farms, downtown Loudonville, and Mohican State Park during our trip with a few heading over to Mohican Adventures!
