OldWestside Home-Hot tub, Yard, Central Location
Oasis in town. Walk to stadium (17 minutes) campus, or downtown restaurants within 10-15 minutes. Beautiful restored and remodeled luxury historic home in quiet, prime neighborhood. Fast WiFi, cable, large TVs, gourmet kitchen, huge private landscaped yard, private parking in 80’ driveway, new central air, state of art air purifier system, wood floors, high ceilings, keypad entrances, New private Zuni deck, HOT TUB, smart outside lighting, patio table, huge umbrella, fire pit.
The space
-Beautiful historic home with original wood floors/trim, high ceilings, new luxury features and amazing amenities. It is a large home with newer additions. The second floor consists of an apartment rented to a quiet, professional couple. The porch is shared, but the two units have locking doors. On occasion we also rent out a single, studio unit, with its own entrance. Neither has access to your deck, hot tub, full yard, or parking.
Main house/this rental-
-Gourmet kitchen (granite countertops and farm sink, Kraftmaid cabinets, heated travertine floors, triple filtered water, Bosh dishwasher, stainless steel top of line appliances, gas stove, Keurig, Delongi-Etta Expresso machine, complete dishware, pottery, All Clad, and complete cooking items).
-Living Room-Stickel leather mission sofas, Piano. Sonos.
-Air conditioned with specialized, state of art -air filtration and built in device with bacteria killing lights. Additional plug-in air filter available.
-Keypad front door entry.
-Office or comfortable space for the 3rd bed (if not placed in the 2nd bedroom-a tight fit), a raised King Koil inflatable bed. While this is not a bedroom, it can be used as one.
-Dining room and Deck (Sunny, Large dining room table overlooking large professionally landscaped yard.
Both bedroom 1 and 2 are guest rooms, not owner occupied. Double shade blocking. TV with cable and premium channels (Disney+, Netflix, Prime Video.)
-Bathroom (Heated travertine floors, claw foot tub, shower by Vintage Tubs. “Endless” hot water system.
-Deck-Outdoor smart lighting systems, 5person high end hot tub, new deck is much larger with privacy fencing and gorgeous Zuni deck.
-Bedroom 1- Double bed. Both bedrooms are quiet. Neither bedroom has any occupancy above or below and is kept empty for you.
Bedroom 2- SINGLE bed, cable 55” TV, 2 windows with layered light block window treatments, Sole recliner bike, and comfortable recliner chair now has replaced the second twin bed originally in that room.
Office- large single, high King Koil air mattress upon request placed there or in twin bedroom .
Guest access
House in OWS. Gardens, new deck, grill, yard, living room, dining room, bathroom, kitchen. At time of booking Baby/child items available upon request: bibs, small car seat, runner jogger, stroller, carrier, toys, construction, art, books, blocks, balls, puppets, etc. Driveway 80’ parking. First floor front living room door or patio door entrance. You have private use of driveway, deck, backyard, fire pit, hot tub, and patio door entrance. No washer dryer at this time.
Shared- front porch and locking entry hall.
Other things to note
No pets. There are two formal bedrooms and an office which can be used as the 3rd BEDROOMthat can have a King Koil high, inflatable, large twin bed. Bedroom #1 has a full bed and Bedroom #2 only 1 single bed, not 2 as in photo.
You also have an additional locking door inside the shared front hall separating the main floor and upstairs unit and another for basement studio. We have not been renting the basement studio, so it’s available for you to rent unless we change our minds and list it. You can ask before renting. You have a patio door leading to the deck. The driveway, yard, garden, deck and hot tub are your private spaces and not shared.
There is a slight rise at each end of the back hallway and at the end of the dining room, please watch your step. The deck, kitchen and bathroom floors are slippery when wet. Please don’t run.
Guests understand that hosts are not responsible for any personal injury and guests are responsible risks and for exercising caution. Furthermore, hosts are not responsible for any personal injury or loss or damage of guests property caused directly or indirectly from foul weather conditions, acts of nature, failure of heat, accidents related to fire, furnaces, stoves, heaters, power outages, theft, xfinity outage, or unforeseeable circumstances. Guests will under no circumstances hold hosts (owners) responsible for any claims of any kind resulting from their stay, except for intentional dangerous acts. Will be asked to sign Rental Agreement as to noted items on this page.
Ice trays, but no other freezer access.
No smoking or open flames/candles in house. No weapons. No pets or smokingNo young children in hot tub. If children are on property, use lock on hot tub. No glass or food in hot tub, plastic glasses provided. plastic glasses are provided for drinks-Please hand wash. Please leave wet towels in bathroom or deck, not on wood furniture or in bedroom.
The new Zuni decking is beautiful, but will stain. Please wipe spills quickly. Do not leave plastics/rubber on deck overnight because it will damage deck (we were also surprised to find this out). The large umbrella if on deck must be closed when deck is not being used. Please do not put up the umbrella when winds are 10mph or higher.
Use coasters on wood furniture, ESPECIALLY COUCH ARMS, which have no rings from drinks or marks from wet towels (one half dime sized white spot only). Before you leave, we ask that you run the dishwasher, first run the garbage disposal (with water on) to clean the pipes. Please leave no food out.
Clean rug spills immediately- wine stain remover in cupboard above toilet.
There are 2 beautiful black walnut trees on the property. Do not remove plastic covering from deck tablecloth when not in use, walnuts, sap or pollen may fall and can can stain, especially if left overnight. Although no one in our family or anyone we know has been hit with a walnut or sap in our 35 years here, guests assume their own risks., especially in late September.
Please respect that this is our home. We will clear some space in the fridge and in cabinet for your use. As a home would, it is full of amenities.
