Hummingbird House - Gran villa de lujo con vistas espectaculares

Situado en las faldas del Monte Nieves, la propiedad se beneficia de excelentes vistas pero a sólo 5 minutos de la playa. La villa se encuentra en duda uno de los mejores jardines privados en la isla. exuberantes plantas tropicales, palmeras y árboles frutales con espectaculares vistas de 180 grados a través del mar Caribe y St. Kitts.
alojamientos extensa incluye en el nivel superior 3 dormitorios (2 de matrimonio y 1 doble) todas con baño con azulejos de mármol español importados y bañeras de hidromasaje. La gran sala cuenta con una cocina muy bien equipada y una amplia zona de estar con centro de entretenimiento inc plasma y TV por cable. En la parte trasera de la propiedad es una terraza examinados con zona de estar donde uno puede relajarse con vistas al bosque y jardines de lluvia y ver a los monos o colibríes!
La mejor característica de la propiedad es el gran porche delantero filtrado con una zona de estar y mesa de comedor que puede, si es necesario, con capacidad para 10 adultos. Ofrece unas vistas espectaculares de la piscina cubierta ,, adicional, el jardín y el mar Caribe a través de St Kitts.
En el nivel inferior, los propietarios han construido una sala de juegos de la familia de aire acondicionado que se extiende a lo ancho de la propiedad. Este cuenta con piscina y hockey de aire mesas y un sofá que se convierte en una cama doble capaz de dormir un adulto adicional. Junto a esta sala es una gran sala de baño mojado y wc ideales para el lavado de la arena después de un día en la playa.
Hummingbird House está situado en un pequeño desarrollo sin tráfico. Los vecinos son amables y profesionales locales.
La playa más cercana está a sólo 5 minutos en coche, o bien acceder a través de Jessups o Barnes Ghaut pueblos, mientras que los supermercados, Charlestown y el aeropuerto están a sólo 10 minutos en coche.

Perfect Stay

The home was well appointed and in a beautiful location. Vibrant flowering plants attracted local hummingbirds, which was beautiful to experience. Convenient location to shops and restaurants. From the host, to the house manager and housekeeper everyone was helpful, friendly and accommodating.

Total relaxation

Our stay at Hummingbird House was a wonderful winter warm up. We had excellent service from the house manager, Patterson, who met us at check in, gave recommendations and organized reservations for us. Also highly recommended is the private chef Mark Roberts who can deliver delicious meals. Highly recommended and will return!

Return trip

We came here last year and booked this year before we left. Great house with nice yard and killer views. Though the beach is a 10 minute drive, we rarely went because the house, pool, and view are so perfect. We mostly ate in which was possible because of the well equipped kitchen and proximity of grocery stores. Owner Richard and property manager Patterson could not have been more responsive and helpful.

We couldn't have asked for better!

Richard was so helpful from start to finish of our stay. He went over and above by helping us arrange transportation from the airport and to the island of Nevis. The house was so comfortable, with a wonderful breeze at all times. It was fully stocked, even with food upon our arrival to get us settled in. The staff was very prompt and able to make our stay effortless. I would highly recommend this property, I think it is the best short term rental we have ever stayed at.

A beautiful stay

We had a lovely stay at Hummingbird House. It has everything a family needs for a relaxing stay - great kitchen, washing machine and dryer, AC in the bedrooms, amazing outdoor space around the pool. Kids loved the monkeys that would visit the garden in the afternoon. Great dining space on the porch. Any questions we had were answered by the very friendly house manager, Patterson, and/or the owner straight away. The house is up on a hill with great views of the sea and St Kitts. About 10 mins drive to most of the main beaches on west side of Nevis.

Amazing house in so many ways!

Hummingbird is a fabulous house - well located, well equipped and extremely comfortable. There are so many wonderful places to enjoy - a screened in porch, a deck near the pool, a lower deck with a grill and a sitting area with a large umbrella, and a separate covered dining area. The yard and gardens are stunning; all of the flowers attract the monkeys and hummingbirds! From the moment we booked we had good communication with the owner who provided a packet of information and helped us in many ways, including making reservations for our transfers from St. Kitts. We look forward to coming back to Nevis and staying at this magnificent home.

Hummingbird Heaven!

Everything about our 10 day stay at Hummingbird in Nevis was superb. The owner’s most helpful recommendations were spot-on and his arrangements for getting from St Kitts airport worked seamlessly. The house itself was just as described and extremely comfortable and well-equipped (including lots of cold drinks on arrival)! We spent many a happy hour dipping in the pool and watching the monkeys in the trees and the bird-life. The house manager was extremely helpful and his team were most obliging and charming when coming to clean the pool or change the gas on the bbq. Would highly recommend Hummingbird for a family holiday on laid-back, friendly Nevis!

Magnificent house and location - even better than advertised !

The house, its location, and the gardens are fantastic. The house is simultaneously large and cozy - it has a great room with kitchen, but also a fabulous screened in porch, ample pool side chairs, another deck next to it, and a gazebo. You can see monkeys right in your backyard. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped (we only ate out 1x). Richard responds amazingly fast, and Paterson, the property manager, is a gem. Really friendly, helpful if you need anything, and of course knowledgeable about the island. They make the logistics of going from St Kitts to Nevis absolutely idiot proof and easy. Can't say enough good things - already booked for next year !

Memorable vacations !

We had a great time in Nevis and Hummingbird house. Many thanks to the owner Richard who spared no effort to organize our transfer from the airport, the rental of a vehicle, etc. He also gave us all the useful information on the services available in Nevis (restaurants etc). Thanks also to Isha who was always available to respond to our requests. The house is extraordinary and even better than in the photos. It is tastefully furnished and very well appointed. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped for a large group even if we were only 3 people. The cleanliness is impeccable. We took all our meals in the verandah which is completely surrounded by a mosquito net. However, we did not see any mosquitoes. The house is surrounded by lush tropical vegetation. We had a lot of fun watching Vervet monkeys visiting the trees near the house each morning. The view from the terrace is spectacular. We have rented several houses on different Caribbean islands, but Hummingbird is at the top of the list.

Perfect Holiday

Our compliments to the proprietors!! We had chosen this home with some consternation. After arriving we soon learned our concerns were unwarranted. We loved the central living area off the kitchen, the separation of the bedrooms and most of all the lanai room off the pool. This is such a great comfortable area to relax, have a nice meal, enjoy a drink or just soak in the amazing view of St Kitts and the ocean. The garden at this home is amazing with so many mature trees and flowers. I was able to walk a short distance with my golf clubs to the upper holes of the Four Seasons golf course. With a little help from the cart room I was able to arrange a pick up and drop off before and after golf. We also loved having bikes at the house and Winston at Bike Nevis both drops off and picks up. We chose not to hire a full time car and found the local taxi services of "Elvis" when needed for groceries, destination dinners or beach excursions. Granted we are not afraid to walk or bike so we might not be the norm. I think it's worth it though to arrive and decide if its right for you. Richard and Claire were really great to work with and we found them to be favorites with the local as well. We have only great memories of the Hummingbird Nevis and look forward to going back.

Can't wait to return!

We spent a glorious week in March at the Hummingbird House, a lovely private villa located on the hillside of Nevis Peak. Facing the Caribbean and St. Kitts, it offered everything we imagined and more. The house is wonderful and welcoming--comfortable and beautifully appointed--and the house manager and housekeeper who maintain it could not have been kinder, more attentive, or more helpful. The owner is equally hospitable, and though we never met in person, he responded to our queries promptly and facilitated our car rentals, taxis to and from the airport in St. Kitts, and countless other details. The view from the house is breathtaking. Indeed, we saw rainbows every day, and the lush gardens are filled with flowers, hummingbirds, monkeys, and tropical plants of all kinds. The house itself is exceptional and offers many places to relax. There are two screened-in porches, a terrace with a pool and chaise longues, an adjoining terrace with more seating and a large grill, and a very pretty living room. The air-conditioned bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, are large and comfortable. The kitchen is roomy and well equipped for cooking and entertaining. We had a wonderful time, felt welcome and at home from the moment we arrived, and can't wait to return! Many thanks to Richard and Claire for sharing their slice of heaven with us!

Fabulous House!

Our family stayed at Hummingbird House for 2 weeks and it was fabulous in every way. We have rented many houses in the past in the Caribbean (2 of which were in Nevis) and this house, by far, was the best. It is spacious, beautifully furnished and the views of the ocean and St.Kitts are truly gorgeous. There are various seating areas and we loved all of them. Houses usually say that the kitchen is fully equipped but this kitchen really IS fully equipped. We love to cook and we had 6 adults and 3 kids there and cooking and serving the family meals was a real pleasure in this kitchen. The hosts, Richard and Claire, helped us to manage every detail of the trip including the COVID protocols, the rental cars, and the transportation from St. Kitts airport to Hummingbird House. If I could give Hummingbird House 10 stars I would do it. It was a wonderful vacation in a beautiful place and we can't wait to come back again.

Family Vacation

This was the perfect getaway for my family. Everything was arranged for our arrival, and we were warmly welcomed by the property manager. As we arrived late in the day, we much appreciated the provided refreshments. The house is lovely, well appointed, and the view amazing. The owners have thought of most everything for anyone to enjoy their vacation. Communication with the owners before, during, and after went way above the norm. Our happy place

This was our second stay at Hummingbird House. It feels like home. Everything is clean and well stocked, from the newly renovated kitchen to the high quality linens and towels. The view is amazing and the location is within easy reach from the best beaches and restaurants. We will be back!

An aptly named beautiful house

We had a great time at Hummingbird. It is a beautiful place to stay....house, garden, view, and pool terrace. It is also very comfortable, incredibly well equipped and provisioned. It is furnished very much as the owners like it to be when they are there rather than as a sterile renter proof place. They obviously take great pride in their house which is kept spotless by their excellent housekeeping lady. The new kitchen is very nicely done and the new gas stove is really excellent for cooks. There is lots of space with three equally sized comfortable ensuite bedrooms. The hummingbirds are in evidence every day in the red orchid tree next to the house. The owner is a pleasure to deal with. We would certainly go back and highly recommend it.

Great Vacation Home!

We just spent 10 days at Hummingbird Villa and had a wonderful vacation. Richard was so responsive and helpful with everything. The house has everything you could possibly want and then some. It is so nice that they arrange for the taxi/water taxi trips as well. When we arrived, they had stocked the fridge with a few essential things to get us by until we went to the store. We would definitely stay here again the next time we come! Thank you Richard and family for sharing your beautiful home.

Just what we needed!

Our family had never been to Nevis before, and were just looking to relax. The house fit us great (2 adults, 3 late-teens). It was very much as advertised. Plenty of supplies, towels, beach chairs. The pool, deck, and view can't be beat! Richard was very responsive before and during our visit, and his island advice was spot on. His assistance with transfers made this trip so much less stressful. If you want to get away from the hotels and don't mind shopping and exploring on your own -- this is the perfect setting.

Wonderful property and home with views of St. Kitts and Mt. Nevis

This is our third visit to Hummingbird House. We enjoy staring out towards St. Kitts or looking back to see Mt. Nevis as we sip our morning coffee. Hummingbirds are throughout the property. Beautiful comfortable place for family vacation

The Hummingbird House was perfect for our family stay of 7 adults. The house was spacious, comfortable, well stocked with drinks, beach supplies, towels, and food staples. We loved having the screened in porch areas both in front and back especially in the evenings when the mosquitoes started coming out. The pool and outside terrace overlooking the view toward St Kitts was fabulous. The garden around the house rivals the Nevis Botanical Gardens. The adult “kids” that came with us had to work on their laptops during the day and they could do this at the pool with no WiFi issues. The bandwidth was adequate to handle all of them online at the same time. Richard was great to work with. He arranged our taxi from Basseterre to the tip of St Kitts and then the water taxi to Oualie Beach where our rental car was waiting. He also arranged a sailboat trip with Miles of Nevis Yacht Co to St Kitts to snorkel on our last day which I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the islands. Even my 82 year old mom went snorkeling! The location is reasonably close to Pinney’s Beach and the 4 seasons where I had a meeting every morning. 4 seasons is undergoing a big renovation so we were especially glad we rented the Hummingbird House instead. We had only one snafu at the end with our return water taxi trip to St Kitts due to misunderstanding with the two competing taxi companies so make sure you figure this out as a round trip ahead of time.

Loved everything about it!

The house is perfect. Great location to many restaurants, beaches and town. It’s well equipped in the kitchen, the pool, towels, snorkel gear, beach chairs it has it all! Fridge was stocked with beverages and snacks which made Day 1 very pleasant! I hope you all book and enjoy as much as we did! You won’t be disappointed!
