The space
Pickwick Bungalow is a great spot for a couple or small family to getaway for a weekend or papermill workers looking for a place to stay nearby. Simple and peaceful to give you the space to take a break from reality and take advantage of the lake on a budget!
We JUST renovated this home entirely. The kitchen was upscaled to include a cooking oven. We did add a twin blow up
There is no washer or dryer and no internet device INSIDE the unit. The internet is provided from our BNB next door.
We hope you love the changes we made to Pickwick Bungalow. We put up shiplap on the walls. Added LVP flooring throughout. Framed in all the windows and doors. Added seating that turns into a single sleeping bed plus the 18 inch twin blow up mattress and playpen. We basically can accommodate any situation. Couples can stay for a getaway. Papermill workers can split a place to stay within minutes of the plant. A family with one or two kids can make this work too! It's really a budget friendly option for SO many!
AND if you need to come with a larger group and need separate spaces, you can rent this one and the house next door for a great special price!

Small but very cute. Just us and toy poodle. We went to the places we wanted and then back to tiny house.

I'm glad you had a good visit! And yes as advertised it's a one bedroom studio with full kitchen. Only about 300 or so sq ft but everything one would need for a nice weekend to visit Shiloh and Pickwick! We'd love to have you back anytime!

Ok stay
Small but ok dishes were dirty, no trash bags, 7th night supposed to be free but that was not honored, and after you buy trash bags you get to take it with you. The owner is responsive to messages just nothing done to correct the issues.

You added on the 7th day so VRBOs system didn't catch it. The dishes could have been corrected but you didn't tell me until near the end of your visit about that issue. Would have sent the cleaner back. Same with trash bags. You mentioned it a day or two before you left. All things we would have been happy take care of when you arrived. In our arrival directions it says to let us know if there are any issues when you arrive and you didn't. I can't fix things if I'm not made aware until the end. The house is advertised as a small home. It's just over 300 sq ft of living space. We've had many happy guests in over a year! We'd love for you to give us a second chance!
