Nestled among the shores of Frenchman Bay, this secluded oceanfront cottage offers an idyllic retreat. Its wrap around deck beckons you to unwind while being captivated by the breathtaking panorama of the bay and the mesmerizing hues of soothing sunsets.

Rent a kayak and cruise the bay, grab lobster from the local fishermen, shop at the farmers markets or go antiquing.



The Space:

Nestled among the shores of Frenchman Bay, this secluded oceanfront cottage offers an idyllic retreat. Its wrap around deck beckons you to unwind while being captivated by the breathtaking panorama of the bay and the mesmerizing hues of soothing sunsets.

Rent a kayak and cruise the bay, grab lobster from the local fishermen, shop at the farmers markets or go antiquing. Enjoy the close proximity of the property to amenities, yet private and nestled in 15 acres of preserved shorefront woodlands. Hiking, sightseeing, restaurants, and shopping are all close by!

This home welcomes your children age 8 and up, due to the close proximity of the waterfront. Please let us know if you wish to discuss your family!

This is an open concept one floor home.

Kitchen: Equipped with everything you need to cook for your friends and family. There is a dishwasher, built in oven and microwave, full sized fridge and plenty of dishes, pots, pans, etc.

Bedroom 1: NEW!! Queen sized bed with a full en suite bathroom and plenty of storage.

Bedroom 2: NEW!! Queen sized bed with lots of natural light and storage

Bathroom 2: Full bathroom with a walk in shower

Living room and dining room seat 6 with incredible views of the bay.

The wrap around deck offers outdoor grill cooking, wild life watching, and star gazing with little to no light pollution. This is Maine, the way life should be!

Children 8 and older are allowed. Please feel free to discuss the ages of your children and any questions you may have with us!

The new satelite Wifi is awesome, we look forward to your great service at the house!

Very nice view. Owners very responsive to a couple of issues that came up. Note if you're renting kayaks - Tidal water with 14 foot change from low to high tide. Fun for kids to play at low tide, but you'll need to store kayaks very high at high tide.

The view of the harbor is incredible! No neighbors- very secluded! Beautiful and quiet! It had a vintage feel but well kept. After traveling long days for a week, it was a welcome rest!

What a fantastic spot! We recently stayed for several days to be near Acadia but away from the crowds. Mission accomplished. We even made sure that we had time to simply enjoy the location during our stay. You can watch the tides, birds and we saw a seal during high tide from the front window. There are plenty of food, shopping, and sightseeing options within a reasonable drive. The home feels like classic Maine. We’re grateful that it was shared with us.

Had a lovely stay enjoying autumn in Acadia and surrounding beauty. The view of bay and tides was stunning and having breakfast there each morning before heading out was perfect. Using the washer/dryer after a rainy day really helped!

We loved this home for its beautiful location and stunning views and also for its comfortable, clean interior. Quiet and secluded but not too far from town. Highly recommend!

Nice Private Cabin

The cabin was a great pick for our trip, we enjoyed the view and made several trips to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Would definitely stay again! Host was very easy to reach and helpful.

Comfortable and quiet

5 adults stayed at the home, very clean, very private, beautiful scenery, close to a town with a WalMart, Catholic church, gas station. Washer and dryer was so helpful. Thank you so much! Highly recommend this home!

We are extremely satisfied with our stay at this home. The house was extremely clean. The location is stunning. The support from check-in through check-out was always on, available and thorough. We have zero complaints and only praise.

The location is lovely and the view from the deck is amazing. As good as advertised. Everything was clean and well maintained. I think some of the bedding could be replaced. The place had a "1970's" vibe, which has its own charm, but don't expect a modern decor. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Would have given a 4.5 for cleanliness (due to somewhat musty bedding), but choices were only 4 or 5.

Frenchman Bay Stay

Very pleased with the house including location and view of ocean bay. Saw deer and eagles and enjoyed the stay. Only negative was that we were unable to get tv reception.

TV reception is iffy at best in this area of Maine. We will just need to make more renters aware of the limitations in our neck of the woods. Glad you were able to enjoy some of the real draws of our property...quiet forest, walks along the cove, wildlife, and amazing sunsets.

The Frenchman Bay Oceanfront Getaway was a great house. We enjoyed sitting on the deck watching the tide go in and out. We even saw some seals one day. The house had everything that you need. Bar Harbor was about 40 minutes away which was not to bad. The beds were very comfortable. There was no AC, but the did have multiple fans. I would go back.
