Unit was good, host not so much.
Served its purpose for our needs, wouldn't describe as luxurious. It was nice overall, with several minor maintenance issues, like broken cabinets & handles, nothing to significantly affect our stay. Location was convenient, really close to downtown, parking was great.
Biggest downside of our stay was dealing with the host. Property has tenants both above & below the unit. House is creaky; normal living like walking or closing doors make a lot of sound. We could hear the tenant upstairs walking and moving about regularly. Our second day, we got a call from the host stating she had to refund renters that complained about us making excessive noise and having guests coming and going at 1:30am. We were not asked, just immediately accused. I explained to the host that we were in bed asleep at that time and had also heard noise outside during the night. As two women in our 30s who don’t know anyone in Bend, it was unlikely that we were hosting a late-night party. She seemed unconvinced, and went on about how we need to remember there are other renters in the property. The conversation ended abruptly as we lost cell service. The next night, around 1:30am we hear voices outside again, potentially the same from the night before as there are other houses around the property. I informed the host with no response. We also had to reach out to request information for both check in and check out.Overall the interaction could have been handled better and certainly put a damper on our stay.
