Cozy Bright 2 BR White Rock ground level basement suite near the beach.

Air conditioned (HEPA filtered) bright ground level suite with private entry, close to beach, restaurants, trails, tennis courts, grocery store, mall, and bus route to Vancouver. Parking space included. Cozy 2 BR suite open plan with full kitchen, living room, dining area, in-suite laundry, 55" HD TV, cable and wi-fi. South facing yard with table and chairs and gazebo.
We are friendly and experienced hosts and can help with restaurants, tourist activities, and hidden gems in the area.
The space
The space is a 2 BR and has an electric fireplace in the living room and central air conditioning. In suite laundry.
We live in a great location with excellent walking trails and are only minutes to the beach and everything one might need on vacation or business stay. The bus to Vancouver stops about 50 feet from our door, providing easy access to the city for those without a vehicle.
Guest access
Ground level suite with private entrance, separate from Main and Upper Floor by solid door. We respect our guest's privacy.
Other things to note
We are about 5-10 minutes drive from the Peace Arch and Pacific Highway border crossings, for those making the journey from the US.
Fantastic trails and park nearby for hiking and biking, tennis and other recreation. No pets please.

Michael was an awesome host. He was able to give great recommendations for places to eat and things to do.The place itself is wonderful with all the amenities you need and a suite that you are guaranteed to get some rest in. The suite is super easy to get to from Hwy99, the ferry, or YVR. If you are heading West, there is a nice back way to Hwy1 and you can avoid much of the construction on Hwy1.Overall, a wonderful stay.

little getaway

My family (party of 3) loved staying in this little gem of a house while enjoying White Rock, Richmond, and Granville Island. This little home had everything we needed—fully stocked kitchen gadgets, beds were comfy, and beds cable TV for the little one to enjoy. We were very close to a park with a water feature (big plus), close to a grocery store, and less than a 5min drive from the water. Mike was a great host, kept us informed, had some really great suggestions on places to visit and indulge, and offered to let us stay a bit past our check out time. Checking in and out of this home was seamless.

As mentioned in the add, it is a very nice cozy and bright basement suite, at a walking distance from the beach and the longest pier in Canada. Michael is a welcoming host, he made us feel comfortable and he was considerate of our needs.

Lovely White Rock

Attended a Chorfest with friends. The VRBOwas perfect! A short drive to the ocean, the pier and wonderful restaurants. The suite has wonderful beds and a great couch. Friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely forest walk nearby was a good workout as there were lots of steps.

Michael was a great host, very quick with communication. Place was sparkling clean! Kitchen well stocked, beautiful bathroom and comfy bed. Some minor fixes would improve the property—fixing some of the kitchen cupboard doors, a few of them didn’t shut fully. Also because you can’t control the temperature (the owners control it upstairs) it was overly cool the first night we were there. We could have messaged Michael and I’m sure he would have adjusted things, but kind of a bummer we couldn’t adjust it ourselves. Otherwise it was a great place to stay!

Study away from home

The house is a beautiful restored Art Deco home. The architecture is a delight to experience. Hosts are very gracious and attentive. The area offers many enjoyable opportunities.

Thank you Mike for everything. This place is a hidden little Gem. Very quiet, cool, close to everything, host is awesome, and Moby their dog was a lot of play to play with. The description of the place is spot on. Next time I need to come back down to the coast, I'll certainly be staying there.

Very comfy stay

Overall very good. Warm, comfortable, roomy, safe, quiet, bright attractive decor. Bed very comfy, shower excellent. I couldn't work the TV well but probably my fault. Hosts very contactable.

Great Stay In White Rock !

We had a wonderful stay at this suite in White Rock . Checkin was a breeze . Michael was very accommodating and communications with him was exceptional . The property is as described . Clean , well appointed , with everything you need for a comfortable stay . Wifi , tv all excellent . We loved the location , immersed in the community , with easy access to everything . The water front area was superb . We had lovely walks and meals ocean front . The property is also well situated to commute to other areas , via highway , we drove into Vancouver a couple times , with no problems at all . We highly recommend this suite , and we certainly look forward to a future stay . Thank you for a very welcoming and comfortable stay .

All the amenities of home but live with host

This is a basement suite with the owners family living above. Yes, you can hear noise from above. It is generally a quiet place and close to the main beach attractions. We stayed for 5 days and 3 of them we were woken by the owner asking us to move our vehicle so his contractors could have access to his house to do work. I recommend that when Michael has personal work to do on his home, that he not rent out his basement facility to interfere with the renter’s vacation. The suite was comfortable and accommodating but Michael has to check the water coming out of the bathroom shower/tub as it is pure hot! However, the bathroom is beautiful and spacious! We did not use the laundry but it is available. I use a CPAP machine and there were not enough power outlets in the first bedroom so had to unplug the clock to plug in my machine. The back bedroom is perfect with plugins on both sides of bed. We did not use all the kitchen facilities as we ate out mostly so had toast and coffee and washed dishes by hand. All good kitchen amenities. We used the backyard a few times and it’s a nice sitting area. Michael gave permission to my partner to smoke outside which was nice of him. This suite is close to the beach activities as we drove down a few times, but we are in our mid sixties so steep hills for walking. The White Rock city is great and easy to get around.

We are close Centennial Park which has lovely trails with old growth trees and stair stepped down to the beach (5-10 min walk). The park also has tennis courts, kids play area, and baseball diamond.

The suite is bright and faces the south with views of garden and gazebo for guest use. Great place to have morning coffee in the sun or shade.
