Located just 1h30 from Montreal, on the shores of the stunning Lac Ouareau in Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci (bordering St-Donat) in the beautiful Lanaudière region, Le Roselin is a peaceful retreat perfect for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts.
Ideally situated between the Laurentians and Lanaudière, the village of Saint‑Donat welcomes leisure seekers year-round. Over 1,000 km of trails are available for hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, road and mountain biking, as well as snowmobiling and ATV riding. Ski Garceau and Ski La Réserve, plus the Saint‑Donat Golf Club, complete the recreational offerings. The Parc des Pionniers is also a prime spot for a wide variety of outdoor activities throughout the year.
For errands, the village of St‑Donat offers shops, groceries, and restaurants just a short drive away.
Fishing enthusiasts will love the lake: located in Fishing Zone #9 (permit required), it is home to largemouth and smallmouth bass, perch, and, in some areas, muskie.
Le Roselin is also a paradise for snowmobilers, as the trail on the lake connects directly to Trail #33 (access pass available online). Nearby trails also allow year-round ATV and Quad rides (vehicles not included).
Lac Ouareau spans nearly 15 km² with an average depth of 54 m, providing an exceptional natural setting. The chalet is tucked in a bay, offering direct lake access.
Boating: If you plan to use your own boat or rent one, please note the dock pictured at Le Roselin cannot be used for boat mooring. Municipal permit and launch information are available at the City of St-Donat website.
The entire house is yours to enjoy.
Please note that this chalet is not fully accessible for guests with reduced mobility.
The main floor, fully open-concept, features a modern kitchen, a dining area with lake views, and a cozy living room with a fireplace and pool table.
In summer, enjoy a spacious 93 m² (1,000 sq. ft.) terrace, fully furnished with outdoor seating and lounge furniture, providing a stunning extension of the chalet with lake views.
The garden-level houses the three bedrooms and a family room with a sofa bed and a second TV. The outdoor spa is accessible year-round for ultimate relaxation.

All bedding and bath towels are provided.
The kitchen is fully equipped with an espresso machine, coffee grinder, food processor, gas fondue set, and all standard kitchen accessories. Basic items are also supplied: sugar, salt, pepper, spices, coffee filters, aluminum foil, plastic wrap, vegetable oil, and more.
Additional amenities include two HD TVs (50” and 46”), soundbar, DVD player, unlimited Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and propane BBQ (not guaranteed in winter).
A vehicle is necessary to reach the chalet and get around the area.
In winter: good winter tires or a 4x4 are strongly recommended. You can choose to go down without them, but coming back up may be difficult in poor conditions, even with the sand we provide. A professional snow removal service is in place, but Mother Nature can sometimes be unpredictable.
*Chalet Capacity – Up to 5 guests. Base rate for 4 occupants (ages 2 and up), with an additional charge per extra person.
*Hot Tub – Accessible and functional year-round.
*BBQ – During the cold season, if present on the terrace, guests are responsible for clearing snow, cleaning the grates, and refilling the propane tank if needed (no winter maintenance provided).
*Campfire – Summer only, when the designated black steel fire pit with grills is installed.
*Dogs are welcome (max. 2) at $75 + tax per dog, but must stay on the main floor. Safety gates are installed for pets and children. Please keep dogs off sofas and beds, clean up after them outside, and if there’s noticeable shedding at checkout, a quick brush or lint roll is appreciated.
*Cats are not permitted.
*We provide soaps for cleaning, dishwashing, and hands, as well as 2 coffee makers, filters, and a grinder, but you’ll need to bring your own body/hair soap and ground coffee or beans.
*Check-in / Check-out – Check-in from 5 p.m., check-out by 12 p.m. No Saturday arrivals or departures (exceptions possible upon request).
*Cameras – Outdoor only, facing the entrance. Recordings are kept for a maximum of 90 days.
*Pre-registration – Mandatory with ID to prevent fraud. Grants access to the Virtual Chalet Guide.
*Security Deposit – Pre-authorization on your card on arrival day, released after inspection of the property.
