Life on Pasquiset Pond! Every room is on the water.Wake up to all the birds singing our home sits on over 10acres of private property. Canoes,peddle boats included in your stay ..Huge firepit to cook your steaks on.Canoe over to the famous Nordic Lodge for apps,cocktails or the famous seafood buffet and hear some music there or off the deck of your rental.. House sits 50 feet off of the beautiful private pond for swimming,fishing etc. Beautiful sunsets and your only 10 minutes from all the beautiful beaches that South County has to offer. Restaurants all within 5 -10mins away. This property iis on a dead end private drive..So private and peaceful you will most likely just spend all your time here and forget about leaving and fighting traffic to the beaches.. Beautiful hot tub and exercise room over looking the pond and sauna in master bath to end your day. Here in Charlestown we have dark skies where you can look at solar system and view the big dipper from the back deck which is simply amazing for stargazing. Lots to do here at this hidden gem. Not pictured is the 4th bedroom with 4 beds 2 queen and 2 twins and balcony area with a small deck overlooking the pond. Home has grill and tanks filled for your outside grilling and firewood for the firepits along with deck furniture and loungers.

A wonderful family get away

Our two sons and their families joined us at this property for a wonderful get together. It was the perfect spot. Private, great house ideal for a large family, wonderful clean pond for swimming and fishing and so much more. We were close to lots of great beaches and sites, but spent most of our time on the property. It was a special stay and we highly recommend it.

Amazing house and renters

We had a Golf Trip and stayed at Sheila’s house. It is quite larger than it looks in the photos! There was plenty of room and we loved the lake. Sheila had the best recommendations for everything close by. We will definitely be back!

The Perfect Family Vacation!

We were so pleasantly surprised with how well this house worked out for us! The house was spacious and lovely and the view of the pond is gorgeous! There is lots to do in the area - a quick drive to awesome beaches, Newport and the ferry to Block Island - and although we did all those things, we would have been happy to just stay at this relaxing location! The owners are attentive, responsive and super nice. We will be back next year for sure!

Everything we were looking for!

A large house on a pond with ample living spaces and a very well equipped kitchen; a well-equipped kitchen was a pleasant surprise for a rental. With a long deck and a nice dock it was always nice to return to the house at the end of a day at the beaches... A fire pit for 'smores was a special feature used almost every night by the adults and the kids. Hostess was very responsive to all of our needs. Some of the pictures do not reflect the need for some deferred maintenance, but we would return without a second thought.

Great location, tired house

Pros: Excellent Location and lovely pond. Cons: Polyester sheets, cheap scratched non-stick cooking pans, lobster pot didn't fit under the cooker hood, pantry door fell off when opened, not enough knives, forks and spoons for 10 people. Children went exploring and found an abandoned sauna project with rotten floor treads outside that they fell through. Pedalo and canoe were not easy to bring in and out. Rotted metal firepit in the path to the dock. Abandoned Tiki Bar project had many nails sticking out. Expected better quality for $1250 a night.

Lovely house by pond

We rented this house with another family and it was perfect. The kitchen is large and spacious. Enough room at the table for 8 people plus some counter seating. Lots of dishes, pots and pans. Everything was neat and clean. Lake was warm to swim in and the canoes were a hit. Unfortunately the hot tub hadn't been working and we had looked forward to that. My only other note would be to understand that the 4 room with 2 twins and 2 queen beds is actually in a loft area over the living room. There are shades to block the light but not the noise. This made it a bit harder to have the younger kids go to sleep earlier than the rest of the family. Overall would recommend this house.

Location, View and Amenities - AWESOME!

Our family had a fantastic week in an idyllic location. Could see the Milky Way sitting on the dock at night, cool lake breeze even on very hot days, and very active hummingbirds at the feeders on the wide deck. Used one of the fire pits one night and enjoyed grilled steaks and chicken. Opened the sliding doors using the hot tub in the afternoon and watched the sunset over the lake. Both the small pond in front and the lake had fish in them so several of our party enjoyed that too. The peddle boat was fun for couples and kids! Probably only glitches were that we happened to be there during an extremely hot week and had a little trouble with the refrigerator the first couple of days...and a little warm upstairs for those sleeping up there, but other than that, really felt like you were far away from crowds and close to nature. The owner was very responsive and checked in on us too. Nice having the beds made and linens, paper products and spices already in the house too! Close to beaches, not too far from some great restaurants, nearby hiking trails. Everyone left happy and we would definitely rent this property again.

Great Lake front property close to beaches.

This is a unique find in terms of location, privacy, and various activities for a family vacation. The lake is private and clean for swimming. The house is spacious and well decorated and stocked. Beaches are a short distance away. Would definitely return.

Beautiful lake with a Beautiful home

This was the 4th home we have rented in that area on a lake. House was spacious an well equipped. The fresh water lake with a dock was the nicest we’ve ever had, came with canoes an a peddle boat. First time we went to RI and never went to the beach, that’s how much we enjoyed the lake. The VRBO pictures did not do the property justice. The spacious eat in kitchen and living room were great as were the numerous outdoor seating areas with fire pits. The owner and our contact, Sheila, was always available an helpful when we spoke with her. I highly recommend this home an am looking forward to returning.

Amazing week on the pond!

We had a wonderful week in this lovely home. The views over the pond and the fun on the pond were enjoyed by the teens and adults. The hot tub and fire pits filled the evenings with many fond memories!

Pond life, the good life

Perfect venue for family reunion! All ages had the best time. Great water views from comfy lounge chairs on the lawn and very large deck. Wonderful family dinners in the expansive, well equipped kitchen. Boating, swimming, and fishing by day and s’mores, guitars and singing by the fire pit made for special memories. Sheila and Bill were so helpful and offered great advice about the area where we all hope to return.

Best of both worlds

This home is on a pond and the ocean is 10-15 minutes away. I prefer fresh water and my children the ocean. So we were all able to do what we loved the most. The house was very comfortable inside and outside. Chaise lounges were wonderful and there were plenty of places inside to do what you liked. I like to work out and there was an entire room with fitness equipment for everyone. A great room plus a huge hot tub. We had a wonderful week there

A little bit of paradise!

Our stay was awesome. We felt so welcome and the house and property was a real treat. The house is perfect for family reunion or just relaxing with more than family because the house is so spacious. We could have left all the kitchen extras at home because the kitchen was utterly stacked with everything and beyond. From waffle maker to blender and kitchenaid mixer to every pot and pan under the sun. No need for extras. Dishes galore and glasses in every shape and form. We made mudslides daily! The house was clean and had literally everything you can imagine. All we really needed were our clothes and a relaxing spirit. The property was well maintained and the dock and lake were super! Nature was right before us and we enjoyed the birds, chipmonks and the beautiful grounds with flowers and foliage. The master bedroom had the most comfortable mattress. Sheila made us feel welcome and engaged us by telling us the best places to go to and enjoy! Whenever I had a question she responded quickly and with joy. We fell in love with Rhode Island because of our stay.

Birthday Celebration!

Our family loved staying on the Pond!! We had the best of all worlds. We visited different beaches that were all with a 15-20 minute drive. My grandkids loved swimming, fishing & using the paddle boat & canoes in the pond, then took a quick dip in the hot tub! They were even able to ride their bikes & scooters on the private road. The house was nicely decorated with a lot of extras. Thank you Sheila for sharing your great hone!!

Amazing location, house and owners!

Phenomenal house on a beautiful private pond in RI! Super comfortable house with amazing spaces and views of the pond indoors and out; best spots are massive kitchen and wonderful great room with double-height ceilings. The pond is quiet overall and is great for paddling, swimming and fishing! Sheila and Charlie are wonderful owners and hosts who don't intrude at all, but are able to answer any questions very quickly - can't wait to be back and would happily bring a bigger group of friends and family!

A little piece of heaven!

The pictures don't do the property justice. We had an amazing time during our weeklong retreat. The pond was beautiful, the house is very comfortable and there are water views everywhere. Sheila quickly responded to any question or request. We would love to return next year!

Perfection at the Pond!

We had a glorious family vacation! The house was clean, well-stocked with amenities and very homey. There was plenty of room for everyone. The property was beautiful and the location could not have been better! Pasquiset Pond (a pure gem by the way!) was right outside our door so we were able to swim, kayak, canoe and paddle board anytime we wanted...the beach was 10 minutes away and Wakefield and Westerly (where you can enjoy shopping and dining) 20 minutes away. Finally, Sheila and Charlie was fabulous hosts! Hoping to return for summer 2021!

A great house for our family reunion!

A great house for our family reunion! This is a warm, inviting home with gorgeous pond views. The property has lots of outdoor spaces for mingling. Nicely appointed house – but not so nice that you are worried about having young ones wander. Kitchen and grill are well stocked with all of the essentials you will need. Central location offers easy access to many beaches. A few caveats to future renters – the largest bedroom is technically a “loft” with open walls that can hear everything that is happening on the first floor. It’s not ideal for little ones who go to bed early and this resulted in lots of last minute room swapping for our family. Lots of windows with no shades which can irk those who want more privacy or don’t like to be awakened by the sun. One of our biggest disappointments was no recycling services were offered. Overall though, this home exceeds what was promised and the property manager was very friendly and accessible. Everyone in our family had something to love about this house.

Great location!

We had such a wonderful stay the house had everything we could ever need and Sheila was such a great host making sure we had all the info we needed on local attractions and restaurants to make our stay memorable. I look forward to finding another reason to rent here in the future.
