La Chona (pronounced "la CHO-nah") located in the scenic town of Hurricane, Utah. Inspired by the vibrant folklore of Mexico, the name La Chona evokes a sense of joy, celebration, and cultural richness. This charming guest home retreat offers a perfect getaway for nature lovers, with its close proximity to stunning national parks, including Zion (31 miles) and Bryce Canyon. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Hurricane and embark on an unforgettable journey at La Chona.

La Chona is a detached guest home tucked in the back corner of our place, giving you plenty of privacy. You’ve got your own driveway and can park inside or outside the fence, whatever works best. Just a quick ask—please keep the gates closed at all times.

Our guest home offers a comfortable queen-size sofa bed on the main floor and a spacious king-size bed upstairs with direct access to a private deck.

From the moment you step through the door, you'll have the freedom to explore & enjoy every corner of this enchanting urban retreat. Whether you're lounging in the cozy living area, preparing meals in the fully equipped kitchen, or unwinding in the plush bedrooms, the entire space is yours to indulge in.

A short walk from La Chona, Dixie Springs Park has it all — a splash pad, pickleball courts, playground, fenced dog park, and open grassy fields. Perfect for cooling off, playing a quick match, or just relaxing with the family.

As you’re going through the reservation, please make sure you’ve selected the correct number of guests and pets so the platform can calculate everything properly. We had such a wonderful stay! The house was spotless, well equipped with all the essentials, and had a very cozy vibe with cute decor that made it feel like home. We really appreciated the privacy and the convenience of having parking right on site. The location was great too—easy access to local groceries including Walmart Supercenter and restaurants, and the neighborhood was nice, quiet, and very safe. Gerardo was very responsive and made everything easy. We would definitely come back and recommend this place to friends and family!

Bike riding weekend

The property is in a quiet neighborhood, had plenty of room to park and was very clean. The bed was very comfortable, too!

It was exactly as described. For us pulling a utv trailer more suitable parking would help. Being older folks we would prefer bathroom and bedroom on same level for longer stays. For a single vehicle it would be great. Guest services were very accomidating. No list of things to do before checking out, told us we could just leave.

This unit is very clean & private. Parking and security were tops! The shower was small but no low flow fixture here. It was glorious. Unit is very well appointed. Coffee maker was great. Laundry room provided soap. The King bed was surprisingly comfortable. The location was ideal in between Hurricane and St George. I did some road riding right out the front door! The hosts who live on property, were friendly and very helpful.

Perfect for our needs!

We were down for a soccer tournament and this rental was perfect for our needs. The host was very helpful and very friendly. He helped make our stay the best it could be. We found a nice surprise of the new park on a walk and really enjoyed being there on a Sunday evening. Overall, it was really nice! We wondered about the little casita feeling like we were staying with other people, but it felt very private and more like the neighbors. I would highly recommend!

Nice, simple apartment in great neighborhood.

This place was a separate apartment built right next to owners house. It was totally chill as they were extremely responsive, but respected my privacy. Clean apartment with everything i needed for a weekend stay. About the only gripe i had was that the bathroom was on the first floor while the bedroom was upstairs, but really not a deal breaker as i would stay there again in an instant.

Hey, I’m Gerardo. I’ve been living out here in Southern Utah for over 25 years, so this place is home in every sense. I’m a real estate agent and short-term rental host, but honestly I just enjoy helping people experience this area the right way. When I’m not working, I’m usually out golfing, hiking, or just hanging with family. I run a few rentals nearby, so I care a lot about the details and making sure everything feels easy and comfortable. My goal is simple—make sure your stay feels smooth, relaxed, and worth coming back to.

This area hits a solid balance. You’re close to everything—Sand Hollow, Zion, golf, trails—but still far enough out to actually relax when you get back. Hurricane has that laid-back feel, less crowded than some of the bigger tourist spots, but still right in the middle of all the action. You can be out riding UTVs, on the water, or hiking within minutes, then come back and just chill without the noise or chaos. That mix is hard to beat.

What sets it apart is the experience around it too. I know the area well, so you’re not just getting a place to stay—you’re getting local insight on where to go, what’s worth it, and what to skip. I also offer a 4-seater UTV as an add-on for guests, which makes it easy to get straight into the adventure without having to figure everything out on your own.
